Robert Rinken Obituary

Dateline: Round Lake, NY Robert M. "Bob" Rinken, of Round Lake, NY, passed away on Friday, April 21, 2023, at the age of 78. He was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA on September 10, 1944, to parents Clem and Nell (Sefick) Rinken. Robert grew up in Harveys Lake, PA. He honorably served in the Marine Corps for six years, beginning in 1964. Robert worked for Pitney Bowes Inc. for thirty years, until retiring in 2008. Robert is survived by his wife Patricia A. (Jarvis) Rinken; daughter Marlena Cooley and husband Benjamin; grandchildren Samantha Cooley, Rachel Toland, and Shaun Toland. Robert is preceded in death by his daughter Robyn Toland and his brother William Rinken. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, May 1, 2023, at 11:00 AM, at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 26 Mendon Ionia Rd, Mendon, NY. Interment with military honors will be held privately for the family at a later date, at Evergreen Cemetery, Gettysburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
