Robert Joseph Richard, Sr. , 99, a native and resident of Labadieville, Louisiana passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on Sunday, September, 3, 2023. A visitation will be held in his honor at St. Philomena Catholic Church, Labadieville, La on Thursday, September 7, 2023, beginning at 11:00 a. m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 2:00 p. m. Military service will be held at 1:00 p. m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. He is survived by his children, Keith Richard, Kimberly Prejean (Don), Robert Richard, Jr. (Cindy), Kristie Bourgeois (Byron), and Joelene Himel (Kenny); grandchildren, Chelsey Richard (Saul), Hailey Richard, Emily Martin (Kaitlin), Lacey Richard, Joel Richard, Robert "Robbie" Richard, III, Layla Richard, Madison Bourgeois, Saige Bourgeois, Arabella Himel, Kenley Himel, and Camden Himel; great-grandchildren, Jack and Owen Lecompte; brother-in-law, Larry Richard (Rita). He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Janet Richard; one son; parents, Joel and Ondine Arcement Richard. Our family would like to express immense gratitude for the sitters who cared for our Dad over the last several years: Casie Percle, Tammy Cedotal, Jamie Arcement, and Monica Blanchard. We are forever grateful for the excellent care they provided, making it possible to keep Dad at home with us. Our heartfelt gratitude also to the staffs of Notre Dame and Hope Hospice for their excellent care. Our Dad lived a long and happy life. He loved his family more than anything and we adored him. Tina Gautreaux Boyd, 57, a native of Labadieville, Louisiana and resident of the St. Charles Community passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at home with her daughters along with their spouses and her grandchildren. A private graveside service will held at a later date. She is survived by her daughters, Renee (Dennis) Ferreira and Kassi (Justin) Hebert; grandchildren, Olivia Rose Ferreira and Eli David Ferreira; best friend like a sister, Susan "Sue Sue" Bolotte; childhood friend, Melissa B. Terrebonne; Godmother, Juanita Talbot; spouse, Alan Boyd; sibling, Nickie G. (Jason) Adams; nephew, Karson Adams; niece, Kameron Adams; grandpups, Leroy Ferreira and Willow Grace Hebert; grandkitten, Autumn Rose Ferreira. She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Hattie Boudreaux Gautreaux; grandchildren, David Rose Ferreira and Baby Ferreira Twin; grandparents, Alcide and Ophelia Thibodeaux Gautreaux, Claude and Solange Talbot Boudreaux; in-laws, Altus & Dolores Aysenne BoydTina's deep and immense love for her children and grandchildren is a beautiful testament to the strong bonds she fostered within her family. The little ones were the highlight and proudest part of her life. She radiated of warmth and special moments. Her love for quality-family time, adventurous road trips, and beach outings paints a vivid picture of her joyful and free-spirited nature. Every day was special to her. She celebrated every holiday-big or small and especially made a big deal of birthdays. She made memories that will last her entire family a lifetime. She cherished her friendships, especially those who this past year stepped up for her children and her in their time of need. Their presence was a true source of comfort. Her family would love to express their deepest gratitude to the nurses and staff at EJGH. Also, the incredible Tulane Neurology Team; especially Dr. Arthur Wang and Dr. Aimee Aysenne for their care and valiant efforts to bring her back home to them. In addition, Heart of Hospice- Gretna and their entire team who were absolutely wonderful for Tina, her daughters equally. Special appreciation and gratitude to Father Carl Collins, and the entire St. Charles Borromeo Church parish for their steadfast support and prayers throughout the past year. Tina's resilience in the face of her illness, driven by her strength and determination to be with her family, was truly inspiring. Thomas Russell Bailey II, 93, of Labadieville, Louisiana passed away on September 9, 2023. After honorably serving in the United States Air Force and graduating from Xavier University of Louisiana in 1961 with a degree in music education, he went on to pursue a lifelong career in music education and develop a respected reputation as Mr. Bailey. Starting out as a music teacher, Mr. Bailey had a strong passion for education and held multiple roles, spending most of his nearly 40-year career as a band director, music instructor, and educator at Assumption Parish Schools. Alongside being a passionate musician and teacher, Mr. Bailey was also a leader in the community, working as the coordinator of the District VII All-Star marching band, coordinator of the Assumption Parish summer recreation program, and a long-time adult education teacher for Assumption Parish. Mr. Bailey dedicated his life to his family and the Assumption Parish community, teaching and inspiring countless students to pursue their dreams. Many have cited him as their inspiration for pursuing a career in music and education. Thomas Bailey is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years, Carol C. Bailey, his loving children and daughter-in-law: Thomas Russell Bailey III, Hiram Wade Bailey Sr. , Dr. LaSandra M. Barton, and Karen F. Bailey. His legacy will be carried on by his seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Thomas Bailey is predeceased by his son and best friend Shelby Bailey, his mother Beatrice Bailey, father Thomas Bailey Sr, and his grandmother Patsy Scott. Viewing will begin at 12 p. m. on Thursday, September 14 with services immediately following at 2 p. m. at St. Philomena Catholic Church. Military Honors will be presented at 1:00 p. m. Chris was the life of the party. He loved music, dancing, making people laugh, and spending time with his family. He enjoyed being out in nature, especially on the water. He was a jack of all trades. He believed in working hard and put his all into everything he did. He dedicated his life to providing for those he loved. He provided a safe haven for many, blood related or not. Chris made sure you were surrounded by good music and lots of laughter. He refused to be considered old but instead wanted to be remembered as a finespecimenofaman.
