Robert Crispen Reichard passed away on Tuesday, October 03, 2023 at St Luke's Residential Health Facility in Oswego, NY Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 from 4:00PM-7:00PM at Traub Funeral Home in Central Square, NY with a funeral service and sharing of memories to follow at 6:30PM A private burial will follow on Wednesday, at the South Richland (Fernwood) Cemetery in Mexico, NY Rob was born on August 14, 1932 in Syracuse, son of the late Frederick B and Edna M (Harrington) Reichard Sr Having survived a near fatal hunting accident at the age of 17, with little chance of survival, Rob not only survived, but thrived, going on to marry Katherine Seeley, build a house, have a career, and raise a family who loved him dearly Rob was a man who lived life to the fullest, fighting to regain the ability to walk; determining to stay independent in the face of adversity until his last years After retiring from Reymore Chevrolet, Rob enjoyed a career in real estate, managing the Channel House Bed and Breakfast in Inlet, NY (where is heart always was), and attending his grandkids school and sporting events Rob had an exceptional self-taught knowledge of anything mechanical, working on his own cars as well as his brothers #77 Dirt race car Family and friends always watched to see if #77 was going to win that night After retirement, Rob continued to get "How do you fix it?" calls for many years, and was rumored to be able to fix any car His disability NEVER slowed him down or prevented him from doing what he wanted, whether it be looooong drives in the Adirondacks, places like Stillwater or the Moose River plains (which seemed to go on for days), or camping (pitching a tent and then sleeping in the car because he heard a noise) Rob loved his boat 'Little Blue', spending time on the water, hunting and snowmobiles (where he might have lost a kid or two who fell off the back) Rob enjoyed going to see old war planes and flying in sea planes He also loved his Ham Radio, and talking to people all over the world The internet, and his computer amazed him He spent many, many hours researching his ancestry He loved Jesus and was proud to be a Christian He especially loved his church family, and hearing the 'Old Rugged Cross' played on the organ, even though Kim missed the right keys, and may have sang off tune He wanted everyone to know Jesus as he did, knowing he was promised heavenly eternity The angels came and took his hand, and he is finally in heaven, looking down on his loved ones, though they will miss him dearly Surviving Robert is his wife of 64 years; Katherine, his children; Mary (Jim) Fellows, Kim (Charles) Fuller, Pam (Rick) Zacharias, and Steven (Lisa) Reichard, a brother; Frederick Reichard Jr , a sister in law; Donna Reichard, an aunt; Suzanne Wilkowski, a legacy of 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, several cousins, nieces and nephews, as well as his faithful dog; Chloe Besides his parents, Rob is predeceased by his children; Richard Harvey and Rebecca Harvey, siblings; Junice Clark, Dean Reichard, and Betty Reichard House, a granddaughter; Amanda Fuller, and cousin and best friend Sonny Hayes Arrangements are entrusted to Traub Funeral Home in Central Square where memories and words of comfort can be shared with the family at www traubfh com To to the family or in memory of Robert C Reichard, please

Dennis D. Capria, 84, of Central Square, NY and a former long-time Brewerton, NY resident, passed away on Thursday at the Syracuse VA Medical Center, surrounded by his family. He was born in Syracuse, NY, son of the late Pasquale and Josephine (Cimini) Capria. Dennis grew up in Liverpool attending Liverpool High School. In 1956, at the age of 17 he enlisted in the Air National Guard of NYS as an Airman serving with the 107th Camron. In 1961, Dennis was called back to active duty with the US Air Force, proudly serving with the 174th, Boys of Syracuse, Hancock Field. In 1964, he was united in marriage to the former Theresa M. Niek, a blessed union of 59 years. Dennis enjoyed a career as a Machinist and Tool and Die Maker for over 30 years. Concurrently he worked for Onondaga County as a Special Deputy. Dennis then established, along with his wife, Capria Unlimited, Inc. (Landstar) in Brewerton, NY. Together the couple traveled extensively, trucking across the entire United States and Canada retiring in 2012, achieving the NSC Million Mile Award. As the Patriarch of a large Italian Family, Dennis was a leader. He was devoted to his family and a mentor to many. He was a wonderful father to his three children. Dennis was a fighter, yet humble always helping people in need. He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing. Dennis was an active parishioner of Devine Mercy Parish in Central Square, serving as Eucharistic Minister, Usher and a member of the Parish Council. He is predeceased by two brothers, Pasquale Capria, Jr. and Albert Capria. Surviving to cherish his memory is his wife, Theresa M. Capria, his son, Dennis K. (Dawn) Capria, two daughters, Michelle M. (Tom) Murphy and Jeanette J. (Gregory) Capria-Lazzaro, six grandchildren; Nicholle Capria, James and Alexa Keys, Amanda and Tommy Murphy and Gregorio Capria-Lazzaro, his sister, Carmella (Walter) Krupnak, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 15, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 State Rt 31 Baldwinsville, NY 13027. Susan "Sue" Irene Dashnaw, 74, left this world to be with her heavenly father on December 1 st , 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Sue was born to the late Francis and Thelma Mariea in Syracuse, New York. She was one of four girls, and she grew up in Hammond New York. She married the love of her life Ronald Dashnaw on June 27 th , 1978, and lived in Syracuse where she raised her two daughters, Carol and Tammy Sweeting. Sue had a larger-than-life personality and was always the life of any party. You could always count on her to be the first and last one out on any dance floor. She loved to listen to live music and she loved to dance. Sue loved to fish and play bingo and you could often find her and Ronnie at the turning stone casino trying their luck with the slot machines. Sue loved to cook and was known for her famous pasta salad and squirrels. Sue also loved to camp and spent endless summers soaking up the sun and dancing the night away with friends and family at East Coast Resorts. Sue worked at the central square school district for 23 years. Sue was an avid bowler, and she was a part of many leagues over the years. She was once invited to bowl competitively on WTSM where she held 1 st place for 19 weeks, which was a winning streak that no one else had previously held during that time. Sue is survived by her sisters: Patricia Badgley and Beverely George. Daughter and Son-in-law: Carol and Charles Harrington. Daughter: Tammy Kilts and Dana Eldred. Grandchildren: Suzanna and Cody, Jessica and Richard, Randy and Carissa. Great Grandchildren: Kyra and Chloe, Luke and Moriah, Aubri and Iris. Many Nieces, Nephews and dear friends. Joseph, M. Maloof, 73, passed away unexpectedly on November 29, 2023 at his home in Pennellville, NY. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 5, from 1:00PM to 3:00PM at Traub Funeral Home in Central Square. Joseph was born in Tully, NY on September 5, 1950 to the late Joseph and Grace Gray. . He and worked as a Yard Foreman at Comstock Michigan Fruit in Red Creek, NY. He and Laurie both enjoyed their jobs at the factory before it's closing in the early 2000's. Joe was always joking around and could be quite stubborn at times; but inside he was a caring and loving man. Years ago, he was even featured as a local hero in a newspaper article; after he rescued livestock animals from a burning barn. He enjoyed old cars, selling at flea markets, and attending auctions. Fishing was also one of Joe's biggest hobbies, as well as deer hunting in his younger days. Joseph is survived by his life partner of over 25 years; Laurie House, his children; Staci Deckard, Michael Maloof, Joseph E Maloof, J. R. House, and Jonathan House, his siblings; Richard (Linda) Maloof, Marylou Gibbs, Judy Gibbs, and Charles Gray, the mother of some of his children; Cathy Maloof, and 3 grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. David R. Wheatley, 85, of Central Square, New York, passed quietly into the care of his recently found Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, on Thursday, November 23, 2023. Dave was a proud employee of the Bristol-Meyers Company for 35 years. Upon retirement, Dave enjoyed pursuing new hobbies and devoting more time to his old ones. He spent countless hours outside on his farm: cutting wood to heat his home; hunting; skiing; and maintaining his land, all tasks which he thoroughly enjoyed. He learned about woodworking and built himself a shop where he could tinker around with his projects. Dave's greatest enjoyment, however, was spending time with his ever-growing family of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He and the love of his life, Carol,(formerly Carol Sykes), wife of over 61 years, found great joy and fulfillment in helping and spending time with their family. Surviving Dave are his wife; two children, Marcia Meyers and Cheryl (Mark) Hegarty; and grandchildren, Emily (David) Stephens, Elisabeth Meyers, Jennifer (Joseph) Wendt, Julianna (Alex) Mitchell, Brian Hegarty, Rhylianna Meyers, and MaryGrace Meyers. Dave is also survived by great-grandchildren Ivy, Charlette, Lincoln, and Anne. Also surviving are Dave's very special sister/aunt, Barbara Hearne, and many nieces, including Tobi Wolf who spent countless hours staying connected with him throughout the years. Dave was predeceased by a special grandfather, Clifford Wheatley; his parents, Charles and Alice Wheatley; a sister, Marilyn Ward; a brother, Charles Wheatley; and two great-grandchildren, Amorette Davina Mitchell and John David Stephens.
