Robert "Bob" Moore left our presence on September 2, 2023. He was born in Eugene Oregon on January 3, 1937, to Herschel and Marie (Lemke) Moore. He is preceded in death by his wife, Marcia Wilson Moore (1957-1985) and bonus wife Charlene Penn Moore (1988-2019). His family of 3 children, Debra McCormick, Shawn Moore and Shane Moore, 4 Grandchildren Gregory and Kyle McCormick, Shane Jr. and Jerrod Moore, and his great granddaughter, Katherine Marcia will miss his smile and those twinkling green eyes as he gently teased or told one of his many great stories. Bob grew up in Seattle, graduating from Lincoln High School in 1955, and Edison Technical College in 1958. He was in the naval reserves for many years, spending time at the old Sandpoint base. Bob had many interests over the years; racing cars, motorcycle riding, scuba diving, golfing, building and flying model airplanes, boating and fishing all over the state of Washington in the San Juan Islands, then later at Lake Roosevelt. Bob worked over 40 years for the Boeing company, retiring early to spend time with his grandkids, and immerse himself in his hobbies. He took up golf in his retirement and purchased a winter home Yuma, Arizona to golf and ride his quads in the desert. He was diagnosed with Parkinsons Disease in 2017, and as the disease progressed after Charlene passed, he moved to Mirror Lake Village retirement community, and met many new friends. Bob lived life to the fullest with dignity, grace and humor. At his request there is no memorial service. He will be interred at Bonney Watson Washington Memorial, SeaTac WA.

Kristen was born on October 28, 1979 in Fort Dodge, lowa to Ray and Betty Julius, one of three children. Kristen lost her father in 1980, but soon gained a wonderful stepfather, Merle Newton. In 1986, the family moved to Colorado Springs to start a new life in the mountains of Colorado and Kristen loved spending time outdoors - especially in the Garden of the Gods. Kristen met her future husband, Josh Goure, in 1996 shortly before graduating from Liberty High School and they got married in 1999. Kristen and Josh were together for 27 years and married for 24 years. It was love at first sight. Kristen spent some time in college and held a few jobs, but made the decision to exit the workforce and instead focused on her art and being a homemaker and muse for Josh. While Kristen and Josh didn't have children, they did have rescue dogs. Athena came into the family at the beginning of the relationship, and Sophia came into the family over the last couple years. Both held very special places in Kristen's heart. The family ventured all across the West Coast, moved to Seattle, then the Bay Area, then back to Seattle. Kristen loved spending time at the coast with her feet in the water regardless of how cold it was. A drizzly, foggy beach walk made Kristen the happiest. Kristen also got to travel internationally visiting Canada, Mexico, England, Scotland, Greece, Turkey, and the Caribbean. So many wonderful experiences and memories were created on those trips. She is survived by her husband Josh and fur baby Sophia of Seattle WA, mother Betty Newton of Colorado Springs CO, mother-in-law Becky Goure and father-in-law Michael Goure of Napoleon OH, brother Jeff Julius and sister-in-law Carolyn Julius along with her nephews Jordan and Justin Julius of Colorado Springs CO, brother Kevin Julius of London UK, step-sister Shelly Newton of Marshalltown IA and step-niece April Essam of Beatrice NE, sister-in-law Jeni Brenneman and brother-in-law Rex Brenneman along with her nieces and nephew Aspen Rettig, Chelsea Brenneman, and Cody Brenneman of Napoleon OH, Aunt Donna Holst and Uncle Richard Holst of Clare IA, Aunt Karen Shoemaker of Glenwood Springs CO, Uncle Craig Lindley and Aunt Heather Hubbard of Colorado Springs CO, Uncle Fred Goure and Eliza Goure of Lakewood CA, Aunt Karen Harmon and Uncle Allen Harmon of Long Beach CA, Aunt Lynda Armstrong and Uncle Barry Armstrong of Phoenix AZ, along with many cousins, a great niece and great nephew, extended family, and many friends that were as close as family to Kristen. Elizabeth Kochenbach

Elizabeth Kochenbach

Age - 93

December 2, 2023

Elizabeth "Liz" J. Kochenbach passed away peacefully at 93 years young on November 15, 2023, near her home just outside of Seattle. Daughter of Joseph and Ada (Rutkosky) Riemer of Pittsburgh, Liz grew up on a small farm with her sister and two brothers. After college, she met and married a Navy man John Kochenbach (d. 2015) and they moved to Philadelphia to start a family. She went on to live many lives during her time on this earth, first as awesome Mom to her six children, Mark, Kimberly, Karen, Douglas, Matthew, and Christopher; next as working woman to help support the household; then as talented amateur artist and photographer; later as loving Nana to her six grandchildren, Elijah (Karen), Joshua (Matt), Claire, Andrew, Grace, and Charles (Chris); but most of all as a free spirit willing to let the road take her wherever it may. While raising her kids, Liz doubled as co-owner for Promotion/Motivation Associates, a successful incentive program firm in the tri-state area. After her youngest child finished high school, she was newly single and ready to kick off the next chapter in her life. Mom hopped in the car and headed to the great northwest since a couple of the older kids were out that way by this point. She ended up falling in love with the area and decided to make it her new home, and ultimately her final one. Her time out west included multiple road trips to Portland and Fairbanks to visit family, to Missoula and countless other small towns, north to Vancouver (yes they let back into the country!), and of course Seattle. Let's just say she never met a Motel 6 she didn't like! Along with the move came a resurrection of her love for art and photography, where she became quite accomplished. She always loved to travel and to meet and make new friends. Don't worry, Mom never forgot her east coast roots and made several cross-country trips too as the children grew up, were married, and had kids of their own. Fiercely independent and stubborn, these traits helped shape her into a strong, brave woman who raised a large, successful family but also made sure she gave her time to others she met along the way. And who should be surprised that she lived so long after such a fun and fulfilling life! Liz is survived by her brother John "Jack," all of her children and grandchildren, daughter-in-law Diane (Matt), daughter-in-law Margaret "Peggy" (Chris), and sister-in-law Rosalie Kochenbach. She was predeceased by her brother Joseph and sister Margaret Jene. Mom, go in peace with the Lord now, and let Him show you the way to eternal light. Somewhere in Heaven, there is a place waiting for you. We love you! Services will be private.Show more

David K Morton July 21, 1957 - November 17, 2023 A beloved friend, community member, and fierce lover of animals was released into God's mighty keeping November 17, 2023. David Keith Morton was born to Blanche Williamson Morton and Edgar Heilman Morton in Flemington, New Jersey on July 21, 1957. David is survived by his best friend and partner, Danny (Sheridan Cody Beauman), a number of dear friends, brother Alan Morton and sister Kathy Yarbrough, and his cherished community at Columbia City Church of Hope. Preceding him in death are two feline companions, Paulo and Seymour, both of whom he loved immensely. The arts and cooking were David's other loves. An opera airing on Classical King FM was the usual soundtrack to his meticulous meal preparation. Scrupulous with his knife work and balanced with his seasoning, David carved out the time necessary to create his favorite comfort foods which included lemon chicken, spaghetti, and jalapeno cornbread. David led a life of compassion and gave generously to causes that support children, animals, and the environment. Buoyed by his faith and love for God, he worked to make space in the church for others who are lesbian, bi, gay, transgender, nonbinary, and questioning. He reflected the radical love and kindness of Jesus with his warm smile, infectious laugh, and whole heart. David's gentle spirit remains with those who knew him. May we reflect that kind of love to the rest of the world. A memorial service will be held in the community room at Kin On Healthcare Center on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at 1:00 pm. (4416 S.
