Robert Moore Obituary

Robert "Bob" Moore left our presence on September 2, 2023. He was born in Eugene Oregon on January 3, 1937, to Herschel and Marie (Lemke) Moore. He is preceded in death by his wife, Marcia Wilson Moore (1957-1985) and bonus wife Charlene Penn Moore (1988-2019). His family of 3 children, Debra McCormick, Shawn Moore and Shane Moore, 4 Grandchildren Gregory and Kyle McCormick, Shane Jr. and Jerrod Moore, and his great granddaughter, Katherine Marcia will miss his smile and those twinkling green eyes as he gently teased or told one of his many great stories. Bob grew up in Seattle, graduating from Lincoln High School in 1955, and Edison Technical College in 1958. He was in the naval reserves for many years, spending time at the old Sandpoint base. Bob had many interests over the years; racing cars, motorcycle riding, scuba diving, golfing, building and flying model airplanes, boating and fishing all over the state of Washington in the San Juan Islands, then later at Lake Roosevelt. Bob worked over 40 years for the Boeing company, retiring early to spend time with his grandkids, and immerse himself in his hobbies. He took up golf in his retirement and purchased a winter home Yuma, Arizona to golf and ride his quads in the desert. He was diagnosed with Parkinsons Disease in 2017, and as the disease progressed after Charlene passed, he moved to Mirror Lake Village retirement community, and met many new friends. Bob lived life to the fullest with dignity, grace and humor. At his request there is no memorial service. He will be interred at Bonney Watson Washington Memorial, SeaTac WA.
