Robert Tyler Johnston, age 72, of Pevely, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at his home. He was born September 19, 1951 in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of the late Margaret (nee Kneisel) and Oliver Henry Johnston. He is survived by his children Christina Johnston-Daniel of Pevely, Zane Hymore of San Diego, California, Kristen (Jared) Lograsso of Bel Nor, Missouri and Justin Johnston of Pevely; siblings Terry Johnston of Pevely, Joan (David) Huerta of El Paso, Texas and Barbara Johnston of California; grandchildren Colton Daniel, Logan Daniel, Dalton Daniel and Ameal Lemons III. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Arthur Johnston and great-grandson Rhett Michael Lemons. Visitation will be Saturday, October 7, 2023 from 11:00 am until the time of funeral service at 1:00 pm at Vinyard Funeral Home Hillcrest in Pevely. Interment will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Pevely.

Shirley Marie Summers, age 90, of Festus, Missouri, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2023 in Pevely, Missouri. She was born August 20, 1933 in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of the late Marie (nee Lorenz) and Paul Kluge. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Eugene Chester Summers, Sr. , and her brother Paul (the late Marion) Kluge. She is survived by daughters Pamela (the late Jeffrey) Spooner of Rolla, Missouri and Tracy (Mark) Sullivan of Pevely, sons Eugene Chester (Heidi) Summers, Jr. of Forest Hill, Maryland and Thomas Summers of Festus; grandchildren Kate (Pawel) Zurkowski, Emily (Dan) Wassilak, Ellen (Trevor) Dinsdale, Jason (Jennifer) Winters, Nicholas (Lauren) Winters, Holly Winters, Zachary Summers, Jacob (Erica) Sullivan, Clarissa (fiance Jacob Conrad) Sullivan, Mackenzie (Zachary) Noerper and Madison Summers; and great-grandchildren Tadek, Tomek, Baylor, Collier, Emma, Macy, Nathan, Sydney, Joey, Barrett, Wyatt, Colton, Brinley, Weston, Adalynn and baby boy Scotty on the way. She retired from Watlow Electric in St. Louis and had been a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed bowling, ceramics, collecting dolls and Mickey Mouse memorabilia. She enjoyed spending time with her wonderful family. She will forever be missed by all who knew and loved her and her beloved dog Lexi. Memorial visitation will be Sunday October 29, 2023 from 2 pm until the time of memorial service at 5 pm at Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus, officiated by Rev. Justin Mativa. Interment will be Monday October 30, 2023 at 10:45 am at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri.Show more

She was born July 5, 1939, in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of the late Madeline (nee Stockamp) and John Hiatt. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings Bernice (the late Paul) Day, John (the late Carmen) Hiatt, Jr, and Charles (surviving Pat of Owensville) Hiatt. (nee Reagan) and Frederick Bextermiller. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years George A. Dunn; and sisters Alice (the late Cecil) Cook, and Anna Bextermiller. She is survived by her children Ronald J. (Rita) Dunn of St. Louis County, Missouri, David E. (Sheldon Ross) Dunn of Hillsboro, Missouri, Dennis M. (Elizabeth) Dunn of Marion, Illinois, Jeannette L. (Robert) Hanewinkel of Festus, Missouri, Dean W. (Mary) Dunn of Festus, Steven E. (Kay) Dunn of Hillsboro, Irene (Robert) Laiben of Bloomsdale, Missouri, Dale J. (Monika Linderer) Dunn of Pevely, and Denise M. (Scott) Dix of Festus; brother Charles (Joan) Bextermiller of Wentzville; 27 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren.
