Born on August 6, 1939, in Weverton, MD, she was the daughter of Claude R. and Katheryn E. (Nokes) Thompson.She is survived by her granddaughter that she raised from just two weeks old, Danielle Bardell; her son, Robert Deener; granddaughter, Erick Barger; grandson, Preston Deener; great-grandchildren, Blake Bardell, Liberty Wilson, Faith Wilson, Joey Wilson, Aliannah, and Ryan Barger. Her family meant everything to her. Janet loved going shopping and going to flea markets. She loved going outside sitting and gardening. Gardening was always something she looked forward in doing. A celebration of Janet's life journey will take place at on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at Brownsville Church of the Brethren, 1911 Rohrersville Road in Brownsville. Rev. Calvin Park will officiate. Ernest Daniel Printz, Sr., 87, of Frederick, passed from this life on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Citizens Care and Rehabilitation Center with his loving family members by his side. He was the husband of Gertrude "Trudy" Irene Printz. Born on November 9, 1936, in Hyattstown, he was the son of Kirby Ashby Printz and Elizabeth (Dodson) Printz.Ernie farmed in his early life, and later held a supervisory position at the Golden Dipt Baking Company (Formerly G & L Baking Company) for several years. Ernie was a cab driver for City Cab for many years, ending his work career with a position at the Fredericktowne Mall. He enjoyed watching old western movies, country music, collecting older model small scale cars and pitching horseshoes.In addition to his wife, Trudy, he is survived by his children: Ernest Daniel Printz, Jr. (Teresa), Penny Printz, and David Snyder (Sonya), and Jenny Hill (Paul); grandchildren: Ernest Daniel Printz, III, Jeremy Printz, Crystal Printz, Annette Ellison, Lindsey Doerr, Lauren Englehaupt, and Heather Cook (Sean); great-grandchildren: Nathaniel, Thomas, Jeremy Jr., Maria, Damien, Deanna, Camila, Garrett, Emma and Ella. He is also survived by a sister, Rose Early and numerous other extended family members.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Lucy Printz, a son, Earl Lucas; siblings: Lillian, Blanche, Ethel, Maddie, Freda, Thelma, Cletus, Gilbert, Clifton and Leon.Mr. Printz' family would like to thank Frederick Health Hospice for their compassionate care in Ernie's last days.The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 27 from 1 to 2 PM at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. Gloria was a volunteer, proudly did civic work, and was a member of the Waynesboro Fish and Game club. She enjoyed camping, fishing, and sewing. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard (Gene) Wilson of 52 years. Born on March 17, 1941, in Brunswick, she was the daughter of the late Clifford Lee Garrott, Sr. and Mary Frances Fry Garrott.Kay was a longtime member of the New York Hill United Methodist Church and the New Hope United Methodist in Brunswick after they merged. She was most happy when she was surrounded by her family, but most especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Kay had a love for reading and enjoyed watching NASCAR and golf with her husband, Gene. She also enjoyed going to lunch with friends, church functions, and attending sports and school related events with her grandchildren. Kay is survived by her children, Karen Haugh and husband, Carroll, of Brunswick, Robin Thompson and husband, Claggie, of Frederick, Richard Wilson, Jr. and wife, Shirl (Mindy), of Knoxville; grandchildren, Jessica Higgins (Chuck), Ashley Shriver (Ricky), Jason Thompson (Kandice), Brandon Thompson (Kelsey), Nicholas Thompson (Corryn), Zachary Thompson, and Kaylee and Abby Wilson and seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Beverly Hauver, Kristi Hawes (Drew) and Darlene Curbow (Jeff); and sisters-in-law, Rose Garrott and Doris Wilson. Emily was the loving daughter of the late William R. and Mary Jo Smith (nee) Vozzo, who she is now heavenly reunited with. Emily was originally from Glenside where she attended Norwood- Fontbonne Academy, Saint Luke’s School and Abington Junior High before attending Mount Saint Joseph’s Academy as a member of the class of 2003. Emily then attended Drexel University and received her degree in Biomedical Engineering. She continued her love of science and research as a John Hopkins Masters Student, as part of the CCR joint program in drug discovery. Emily continued her work in the Protein Chemistry and Molecular Biology Section of the National Cancer Institute in Frederick MD. Emily was a gifted scientist who was highly respected by her colleagues and friends. When Emily was not working, she enjoyed travel, sporting events, trivia, and trying new experiences. She enjoyed her life in Frederick Maryland and the friends she made during the last seven years. Emily is survived by her dear brother and travel buddy Matthew Smith and her aunts, uncles, and many cousins. Emily also leaves behind her faithful dog Genevieve who was her soul mate. (Stahler) .Sarah graduated from Florida State University and worked as an Associate Principal Analyst at FINRA.Sarah was known for her quick wit and sense of humor as well as her great taste in fashion and spontaneity. She lived life to the fullest and loved spending time with her family and extensive group of lifelong friends. But her greatest joy came from her two children whom she loved immensely. She loved watching Cannon excel in sports and enjoyed Ripley’s singing and dancing performances. "It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Norman Elsworth Elsbree Jr., who peacefully left this world on February 25, 2024, at the age of 84. Norman was born on September 27, 1939, to proud parents Norman Elsworth Elsbree Sr. and Marjorie Eleanor Elsbree nee Mathies. Norman was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, whose kindness and patience touched the hearts of all who knew him. He proudly served his country as a veteran in the U.S. Army, where he received many accolades including a Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and the prestigious Presidential Service Badge and Certificate. Norman is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years, Diane, his children Norman “Rusty” and his wife Melinda, Kim and her husband Andy, along with his beloved grandchildren (Josh and his wife Lisa, Rachel, and Hannah and her fiancé Tyler, and his great granddaughter, Naomi), along with other beloved family members. He was anxiously awaiting the birth of his second great granddaughter in June. He was preceded in death by his son, Brian, his granddaughter Jessica, and his cherished cat, Coco. While in the Army, he was a communications specialist at the White House, serving under the Eisenhower, Kennedy, and Johnson administrations. Other than his pride for his family, this was one of his proudest accomplishments! After leaving the Army and White House, he was employed with the federal government at the Department of Energy, until retiring in 1994. A celebration of Norman\u0027s life, complete with military honors, will be held on April 27, 2024, from 2:00 - 5:00 PM at Thurmont Grange #409 to honor his memory and the impact he had on all those around him. His legacy of love, patriotism, and dedication will forever be remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing him!"

"Elizabeth “Liz” Galope was born on March 31, 1958, in Washington, DC to the late Frank and Arlene Galope. She passed away on Tuesday February 20, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. Liz was only 65 years of age, and her family is deeply saddened by her death. Liz is survived by her loving fiancé Robert Snyder, her children Jessica Carter and Jason Kemp, her three grandchildren Sean Carter, Anna Carter and Joe Kemp, her three sisters Diane Gammon, Christine Turner, Elaine Woodrow and one brother Joe Galope as well as many beloved nieces, nephews and extended family. Liz and Robert originally met in 1978 but their lives took them on different paths until many years later in their 60’s when they reconnected and chose each other as life partners. Liz was a fun spirited soul who loved her friends and family fiercely. She loved watching her grandchildren grow up and made sure to send them cards for every holiday. Some of her favorite things were lighthouses, gardening, spontaneous adventures, Peaks Island, watching her favorite local sports teams the Orioles and the Redskins and having fun with her “Golden Girls”. Liz had a big heart, wonderful sense of humor and a beautiful smile. She also could be strong-willed and stubborn at times but that is what gave her the strength to fight the many challenges that she faced. She was loved dearly and will be forever missed."

She was born on August 20, 1962, to the late James and Eleanor Herrmann. In addition to her parents, Crystal is preceded in death by her brother Jimmy Herrmann. Crystal was a nurturing and supportive mother to her sons Sheldon Warner and Christian Warner. She was a devoted grandmother to her loving grandchildren, Tryniti, Barrett, and Ruger. She had a special place in her heart for her four-legged son, Dinky, who brought her much comfort and companionship. Dinky and Crystal’s bond was like no other, he brought her so much love and happiness, they shared many adventures together, never leaving each other’s side. Her family brought her immense joy, and she was always there to provide guidance, love, and support to them. Crystal\u0027s presence will be deeply missed by her entire family. Almost every Sunday, Crystal, Sheldon, and Christian would go to Pappy’s farm to enjoy a bowl of Cheerios and pancakes. Crystal had a zest for life and enjoyed celebrating every moment. On her birthday, she would delight in savoring a Michelob Light, indulging in a delicious red velvet cake, and relishing the taste of crabs. Professionally, Crystal had a successful career as a manager at Rural King, where she worked diligently and formed lifelong friendships with her colleagues. In her free time, she embraced her creative side, finding joy in crafting handmade gifts, canning, gardening, camping, and bowling. Crystal\u0027s warm and caring nature touched the lives of those around her, and she will always be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love. A visitation will be held on February 23, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home \u0026amp; Crematory Inc, located at 9501B Catoctin Mtn Hwy, Frederick MD 21701. Following the visitation, a memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM at the same location.
