In the early morning hours of November 25, 2023 at UPMC Montefiore Hospital a beautiful soul traded this world for her eternal paradise. Mattie Lou (Rawley) Snow Stevenson affectionately known as Mat Lou, Shoe, Gumby, or Granny took the hand of Our Heavenly Father to hear the words, "well done thy good and faithful servant. " Mattie was the 5th of 9 children born to James and Jessie (King) Rawley on January 28, 1929 in Mt. Airy (Mayberry) NC. She was educated in Surry County at J. J. Jones Schools. Olive Baptist Church of Coraopolis. She loved her church family and was known for her warm, welcoming smiles, encouraging words, and her delicious Pound Cakes. Unfortunately, in more recent years, her health became an issue so she was not able to attend as much. But when she did, everyone wanted to say hello, get a hug or kiss, take pictures, or just to sit and visit with Mother Stevenson.
