DUFFIELD, VA. OCTOBER 5, 2023 Robert Brian Hamilton, 55, was called home on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 peacefully at his home. Rob spend his early years in Norton, VA and attended Pound High School. He spent 23 years serving his country in both the Air Force and Army (6 years and 17 years respectively) in multiple capacities on multiple continents. Rob was an avid outdoorsman who loved communing with nature while spending time hunting, fishing, and camping. Rob also enjoyed playing airsoft and was a highly respected, valued member of Theta airsoft team where he enjoyed mentoring, coaching and generally harassing other players in good fun. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bruce and Rita Hamilton and a son-in-law, Anthony Robinette Jr. Rob is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Roxanne Hamilton; children, Tiffany Hamilton, Brandy Hamilton, April Hamilton, Kimberly Robinette, Bryan Hamilton and Cody Hamilton; step-children, Michael Jones and Paige Jones; ten grandchildren and a host of other friends, relatives and family members. Rob's passing will leave a deep void in all those who loved him, however his life will continue to glow in the memories of him we all have. Visitation for Robert Hamilton will be held from 2:00 P. George David Maloney, 67, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 2, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. George was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He was so dedicated to Mom that he only waited 41 days to be reunited in Heaven with her. He loved hunting and fishing, telling stories to anyone who would listen, telling jokes and laughing. There was never a dull moment around him. He was the ultimate provider for his family. We watched our dear, sweet father decline in health for three long years. He was brave and strong and was trying to comfort and protect us until his last breath. While his mind and body began to fade; his love never did. He was a proud employee of A&G Coal for 37 years and a veteran of the U. S. Army. George is preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Rose; his parents, Lewis Maloney and Elaine Cox Powers and two sisters, Donna Snyder and Emma Hubbard. She sold Tupperware for many years and was known as "The Tupperware Lady" and with this employment she made many friends throughout the region. Betty June Branham, age 71, passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at Wise Heritage Hall, in Wise, Virginia. Betty was born on June 22, 1952, in the Lick Fork community to Albert and Hazel Mullins. Betty worked while attending high school and was employed at the 5 and 10 cent store from 1971 through 1975. Betty worked as a CNA at Woodmont Nursing Home, worked several years for Appalachian Agency for Senior Citizens, and several restaurants. Betty married Jimmy Nelson Branham on April 18, 1975. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy; her parents, Albert and Hazel Mullins; two infant sisters; her brothers, Sterling, Vernon, Charles, Dan, and Clyde Mullins. Survivors include her daughters, Amy Jo Branham and James, of McClure and Loretta Mills and Jeff, of Clinchco; grandsons Dalton Strouth and Amelia, and Dakota Mills; great-granddaughter Natalie Key Strouth; her brothers, Verlon Mullins of Alabama, Lester Mullins and Shirlene of Clintwood; her sisters, JoAnn McPeek and David of Clintwood, Faye Sykes and Gary of Clintwood, Mollie May Mullins of Clinchco, Evelyn Snyder and Rocky of Wise; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Rosella (Rose) Diane Maloney, 63, went home to the lord on Sunday, October 22, 2023. Rose was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, hummingbirds and taking pictures of everyone and everything around her. She found beauty in nature and her family alike. Rose was the greatest cook, and her recipes will be treasured by her daughter and her son. She was a homemaker for 47 years who tended to everyone's needs before her own. She created a warm and loving home full of laughter and memories. She had no greater joy in life than her children and grandchildren. She loved her family so fiercely. She was a devoted Christian and loved the Lord. The only solace her family can find is knowing that her body is healed. She fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith. Good and upright is the LORD; therefor will He teach sinners in the way. The meek will He guide in judgement, and the meek will He teach His way. All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth, unto them that keep His covenant and His testimonies. With heavy hearts we mourn the death and celebrate the life of Danny Ruphard Baker, 76, who passed away peacefully from his earthly home on Sunday, October 15, 2023. Danny was born on Birchfield Road in Pound, Virginia, to the late Pastor Lester and Genola Baker. He is survived by his wife and love of his life, Anne; children, Chesney (Wes), Andy (Roberta) and Engle (Jim); granddaughter, Sierra (Trey) Hall and her brothers, Diego Jamerson and Michael (Rebecca) Gilliam; sister, McKinley (Robert) Smith; great-granddaughter, Eden Hall; beloved sister, Betty Baker Jessee; nephew, Mike (Sandy) Jessee; niece, Candy (David) Dietz and many great and great-great nieces and nephews. Danny married his high school sweetheart, Anne, in 1965, and they were married for 58 years. In October 2022, they welcomed their first great grandchild, Eden Hall. One of Danny's greatest joys was time spent with his granddaughter, Sierra and great granddaughter, Eden. "Papaw Luvs" was his favorite expression, followed by "Papaw is your best friend. " Danny was called to preach in the 1970s and served as the pastor of Birchfield Church, built by his great grandfather, Samuel Jackson Baker and previously led by his father, Pastor Lester Baker. Danny knew how to touch hearts and was known for his conviction, honesty, and fortitude. He placed the highest value on the loyalty of lifelong friends, Rocky (Anita) Cantrell, and the late Ray Holmes. Danny was devoted to Birchfield Church, where he faithfully served with humility and gratitude. His beloved brothers and sisters at the church include, Lynn and Jeff Burns, Carol Massey, Rocky and Anita Cantrell, Carlyle Taylor, Kenneth Collins, Van Buren Boggs, Jeff Adams and Carol and Harold Greer. Danny also loved to spend time and discuss scripture with his nephew, David Dietz. Funeral services for Danny Baker will be held at 7:00 P.
