He was welcomed and dearly loved by George and Deloris. He was also welcomed by his older brother, George, and older sister, Kellonye, and he was later joined by his younger sister April. As a child, Curtis was very fun-loving. Some of his favorite things to do were, playing with his friends, spending time with and wrestling his brother, and at times terrorizing his sisters by having his army of GI Joes and Transformers go into battle with their Barbies. Curtis was so much fun, there was never a dull moment. Growing up, Curtis loved and spent a lot of time with his father and brother. He spent much time learning from them how to do things. At times they were inseparable. Curtis also loved and enjoyed spending time with his mother. He was always so loving and protective of his mother and sisters. He had an impressive working career with AT\u0026amp;T and Bellsouth for 23 years where he grew in his career and developed lifelong friendships. He studied from youth and was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. He served at the Kingdom Hall in Newnan, GA as a Watchtower reader. He served on the Regional Building Committee helping to repair damaged Kingdom Halls for many years. This served as Curtis' spiritual foundation and also where he developed many of his lifelong friendships. He always helped his parents when in need, doing repairs to their home, vehicle and taking care of their yard, always making it a priority to help. One of Curtis' greatest joys was becoming a father. When he became a father, his world lit up. He made it his point to always strive to be the best father he could be. He fell in love with and married Marie in July of 2022. It was important for him to be the best father and husband to his family. He was very hardworking, always doing good for others. Curtis passed away on November 26th, 2023, at the age of 45. "Linda Lounette Moore, age 64, mother to David Butdorf and Lauren Freeman, passed away on November 18, 2023 after valiantly battling Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. Linda was born in Wooster, OH, lived in Lawrenceville, GA, and her final hours were spent sharing memories and laughing while prayerfully surrounded by family. Known for her quick-witted sarcasm and pride for her children and grandchildren, Linda will be dearly missed. She was a good and faithful servant to Jesus, cared deeply for her students, and had an uncanny ability to spark laughter in any room she entered. She was a proud member of LV First and loved attending church services and events, taking classes, and volunteering. Throughout her children's lives, Linda enjoyed many years spent at band recitals and performances with her son David. Later, she loved spending her evenings and weekends coaching and watching her daughter Lauren at the softball fields. Linda cherished every "Camp Grandma" with Callie, who affectionately and playfully called her "Grandma Smith", where they'd play school and charades, make crafts together, and go to parks and the library for story time. She loved to feed Levi sherbet, have morning snuggles when he slept over, and let him listen to as much Baby Shark as he wanted. Callie and Levi knew they were loved, cherished, and that "grandma always put more chocolate in their chocolate milk than mom did". She is survived in death by her father, James Patterson; her children David Butdorf (Melanie) and Lauren Freeman (Chris); her grandchildren and loves of her life Callie Butdorf and Levi Freeman; sister Leesa Miller (Greg) and Eric Patterson (Kim); nieces and nephews Ryan Miller (Tonya), Angie Miller, Brent Miller (Lisa); Jessica Weaver (John), and Brianna Ackerman (Daniel); and her dearest friend, Laura Cronic. Preceding her in death and waiting to greet her at Heaven's Gates were her mother Janice Patterson and Glenn Moore. A memorial service will be held at Lawrenceville First United Methodist Church (LV First) in Lawrenceville at 3:00pm on November 26, 2023. Lauren and Laura invite family and friends to drop-in at Linda's home following the service for fellowship and friendship. Before Linda's diagnosis, Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis was not a term of which she and many in the family were familiar. Treatments and therapies are limited, and much is unknown. In lieu of flowers, all are encouraged to learn more about IPF and consider a donation to the Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation (IPFF) or any IPF Foundation of your choosing.
