Robert L. Grove, Jr. , 68 of Connellsville died Wednesday September 6, 2023 in Ocean City, Maryland. He was born February 28, 1955 in Uniontown a son of the late Robert L. , Sr. and Frances Jean Elliott Grove. He was a Graduate of Connellsville High School. Bob was formerly employed at Westinghouse and he retired from West Penn Power, Co. He was a member of the Slovak Club and the Kings Mountain Golf Club. He was an avid golfer and avid Penn State and Steelers Fan and he loved his yearly trips to Ocean City. He is survived by his wife, Judith Taylor Grove; two sons, Christopher R. Grove and Mandi Davis of Smock and Patrick A. Grove of Connellsville; two sisters, his twin sister, Jan L. Krupa and her husband Timothy of Smithfield and Jill J. Nicoletti and her husband Thomas of Hagerstown, MD; brothers and sisters -in- law, Barbara Taylor of Connellsville, Susan Potkul and her husband Ronald of Deland, Fl, Robert Taylor and his wife Cindy of S. Connellsville, Cynthia Friend and her husband David of Greensburg, William Taylor and his wife Tammy of Greensburg, Lori Lambie and her husband David of Dunbar and Meredith Rose and her husband Chip of Connellsville. In addition to his late parents he was predeceased by his father and mother-in-law, John and Mary Lee Taylor and a brother-in-law, Jack Taylor. Ocean City, MD - Donald Charles "Don" Rohrer, 86, of Ocean City, MD passed away on Wednesday October 18, 2023, at Coastal Hospice Stansell House in Ocean Pines, MD. He was born on September 28, 1937, in Boonsboro, MD to the late Charles Lee and Mary Etta (Eakle) Rohrer. He is survived by his wife, Merry Rohrer whom he married on December 6, 1959. Don was employed by Stoy, Malone & Company in Bethesda, MD as a Certified Public Accountant for 46 years until his retirement. He was a member of Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church in Boonsboro, MD. After his retirement, Don was employed by American Door Company in Beltsville, MD. He was a member of the Lions Club for over 25 years and served as president a few times during his membership. Don loved boating, fishing, and spending time with his family and grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son Mark Rohrer and his wife Annamarie of West Ocean City, MD, son Craig Rohrer and his wife Kris of Pompano Beach, FL, and daughter Kim Rohrer of Cambridge, MD; grandchildren Breanna, Mark, Nicole, Megan, Brandon, Taylor, and Conner; numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Wilmer Rohrer. Funeral services will be held at the Osborne Funeral Home, P. A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Wednesday October 25, 2023, at 2:00 pm with Pastor Kenny Brown officiating. SCHENECTADY- Michael E. Savignano, 72, of Rotterdam passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 14, 2023 while on a golf outing in Ocean City, Maryland. Mike or Mick to most, was born May 21, 1950 in Schenectady to the late Michael and Shirley Savignano. Mick spent his childhood and school-aged years in Colonie and Rotterdam. He graduated from Mohonasen High School in 1969, then attending Hudson Valley Community College, where he obtained his drafting degree and worked for General Electric Co. He then joined the Plumbers & Steam Fitters Union. He worked at the Electric Boat in West Milton, NY. and later became a self-employed General Contractor. Mick enjoyed being outdoors, hiking, fishing, golfing, shooting pool as well as gardening and cooking. He was a life-member of the Rotterdam Elks and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed spending time at the Sportsman Paradise, the family camp in the Adirondacks. He is survived by his brothers Steven (Trisha) Savignano and James (Monica) Savignano. He said his greatest joy in life was being an uncle to Jeanna, Gregg, Stevee Kaye, James "JC", Nick, Matt and his several great-nieces and great-nephews. Mick leaves a huge hole in the hearts of his family and friends, who were always entertained by his stories and hilarious sense of humor. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Friday, May 19th at 11:30 am at St. Madeline Sophie Church, 3500 Carman Rd. , Schenectady. Georgette Palcic Metro has passed away on December 17, 2022, at the age of 79 in Ocean City, Maryland 36 year business owner of "Sign-Craft" on the boardwalk. Georgette was married to Joseph Matthew Metro Jr. of Greenfield, PA who proceeded with her death on March 8th, 2019. Her memorial will be on March 18th at Kanai Funeral Home from 8:30 to 9:30, following will be the funeral at St. Rosalia Church, Greenfield Ave, Pittsburg, PA at 10:00 AM. She will then be taken to Deer Creek Cemetery, Cheswick, PA where she will be put to rest with her husband. Georgette was born on 01/11/1943 in Pittsburgh, PA, to parents Bethel May Krenn Crider and George P. Palcic (married in Greensburg, PA). They are survived by their three children: Joseph M. Metro III (Mary), two children: Brook and Joseph M. IV; Valarie/Scott Montgomery, three children: Sean Obiecunas, Emily Montgomery, Sarah/Joshua Montgomery (great-grandchildren: Gianna and Damien); Debbie/Kyle Hayes three children: Tiffany/Andrew Evans, Kyle/Kimberly (great-grandchildren: Kaylee and Sawyer), Andrew/Teanna (great grandchildren-Syler, Kenna, Leah). Wayne Wesley Edwards, 79 years, of Ocean City, MD, passed away to God's hands on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 with his wife at his side. Born January 11, 1944 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Edwin Lee and Elsie Laura Evans Edwards. Following graduation from Aberdeen High School in 1962, he went to work for the General Motors Corporation. Wayne married Carol Anne Spence November 27, 1963 and went on to have three children; Kimberly, Stephanie and Matthew. After many years of working, he finally retired and went on to enjoy his leisure at his beach home with his wife. Wayne enjoyed spending time with his family and walking on the beach. He also enjoyed working on cars, going thrifting, beachcombing for treasures and was an avid cruiser. In his lifetime, Wayne was a lumberjack, trucker, farmer and auto mechanic. Wayne was a fiercely faithful servant and loved the Lord. Wayne is survived by his wife, Carol Anne Edwards of Ocean City, MD; daughters, Kimberly Anne Groleau of Aberdeen, MD, and Stephanie Carol Helsel of North East, MD; son, Matthew Wayne Edwards of Lincolnton, NC; grandchildren, Brandon Timothy Martin, Justin Wayne Groleau, Ryan Scott Groleau, Ellery Lauren Edwards, Mallie-Kate Edwards, Kaylee Miller, Austin McMullen and Destiny Trefethen; five great grandchildren; brother, Charlie Lee Edwards of North Carolina; and sister, Louise Farmer also of North Carolina.
