Robert Gray Obituary

On Wednesday, October 4th 2023, Robert Harley Gray passed away at his home in Raleigh, North Carolina at the age of 80 years old His wife of 62 years, Norma Wichman Gray, was by his side Robert "RH" was born in Chattanooga Tennessee on October 17, 1942 He was the youngest child of Homer L Gray and Jenny Wilson Gray He graduated from Chattanooga Central High School in 1960 Then he studied at University of Tennessee for two years majoring in Industrial Engineering and Drafting He was a successful businessman having worked in management for the corrugated box industry for his entire career of 48 years He was involved in civic organizations for several years, serving as President of Brainerd Jaycees for two years He was a man of great integrity and faith who worked hard to provide for his family with love Robert was preceded in death by his parents: Homer L Gray and Jenny Wilson Gray He is survived by his wife, Norma Wichman Gray; his four children: Mitch Gray (Lisa) of Orlando FL, Julie Gray of Lynchburg VA, Mark S Gray (Shanna) of Lillington NC, and Brandy Gray of Appomattox VA; his sister, Dorlis Gray Johnson (Bob) of Arizona; his brother, Homer "Bud" Gray (Joan Rice Gray) of Ooltewah TN; several nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as ten grandchildren, and four great grandchildren He will be cremated and at a later date there will be a memorial service Thank you to all the friends and family who have sent their love and condolences "Love never faileth" (1 Corinthians 13:8) "Your memory is my keepsake With which we'll never part God has you in his keeping, I have you in my heart" -author unknown To to the family, please
