Robert Golden Jr Obituary

"Robert Golden, Jr. a proud veteran of the U. S. Army, passed away April 18, 2023. Robert grew up in Syracuse, NY. He was born March 28, 1957 to the late Willie Golden and Betty Tanner and attended CBA High School. In 1978 Robert enlisted in the U. S Army. He valued this service highly and attained the rank of Sergeant First Class. As part of this service, he toured Iraq and served during Desert Storm. Robert worked at the VA for 21 years and part-time at Loretto for 8 years in the housekeeping department. He loved music, and enjoyed playing the keyboard and guitar. He leaves to cherish his memories: his devoted companion, Anita Kirk of Syracuse, NY; daughter, Nicole Golden(Lamonte) McKinnon of Atlanta, GA; son, Lance Golden of Syracuse, NY; sister, Sherry Golden of Liverpool, NY; brothers, Michael (Tamara) Golden of N. Carolina and Arthur Golden of Syracuse, NY; bonus mother, Elizabeth Stewart of Syracuse, NY; bonus daughter, Latoya(Byron) Griffin of Syracuse, NY; step-sisters, Felicia Stewart, Tina Stewart, Sherry Rice, and Demetria Golden, all of Syracuse, NY; six grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and close friends. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 27th, from 11 a. m. to 1 p. m. at FARONE \u0026amp; SON Inc Funeral Home, 1500 Park Street. A service honoring Robert's life will follow at 1 p. m. "
