Robert "Bob" Gene Crain, 77, of Pittsburg was born May 5, 1946, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, to Edward Robertson Crain and Mary Virginia Farley Crain He passed away on October 5, 2023 Mr Crain graduated high school and then furthered his education by attending Machinery Repairman School and Railroad Engineering School in Shreveport, Louisiana He also served his country in the United States Navy He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pittsburg and a very active member of the Gideons in Mt Pleasant and Camp County Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, but above all, spending time with his family and those he loved He is survived by his wife, Janice Knight Crain of Pittsburg; daughter and son-in-law, Julie Crain Jordan and David Jordan; grandchildren, Dillon Scott Jordan and his wife Randal of Whitehouse and David Ty Jordan and his wife Lani of Pittsburg; great grandchildren, Evie Mae Jordan and Margot Jordan; sister, Betty Crain of Pittsburg; sister-in-law, Lisa Crain of Pittsburg; his constant companion, Toro; and many nieces and nephews He is preceded in death by his parents, son, Robert Scott Crain, and brother, Charles "Charlie" Edward Crain Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a m Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Pittsburg The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service Bro Joel Davis and Harold Kennington will officiate the service Pallbearers will be George French, Tommy Fink, Larry Copeland, Jim Waggoner, Cary John Efurd, Johnny French, Joey French, and Billy Taylor The family requests that memorial donations be made to The Gideons International, P O Box 97251 Washington, DC 20090-7251 and the First Baptist Church in Pittsburg

Mrs. Jean Thomas Dehmlow, was born March 4, 1935 to W. E. and Doris Miller Thomas in Daingerfield. She departed this world for her heavenly home to be in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November, 26, 2023. Jean graduated from Daingerfield High School in 1952, and attended Nursing School at Scott and White hospital in Temple, Texas. She later went back to college and received her Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist License. She worked in several East Texas Hospitals but primarily for what is known now as UT Health East Texas Pittsburg until she retired. She was an active member of First Baptist Church in Pittsburg. She was proficient in American Sign Language and enjoyed interpreting the services for the hearing impaired. She loved her kids, and grandkids, and left them with wonderful memories. Memaw will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband, Don Dehmlow; her son and daughter, Wes Kirkham of Texarkana, Texas; and Tonia Stuard and husband Ronnie of Pittsburg, Texas; her siblings, Venita Smith of Pittsburg, Texas, W. E. Thomas Jr. of Spring, Texas, and Kathy Bruney of Kilgore, Texas; three grandchildren, Brittany Stuard, Jessica Kirby and husband Aaron, Chris Stuard and wife Amanda; and twelve great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Lauren, Trenton, Josiah, Ava, Lukas, Peyton, Cameron, Mason, Chapel, Micah, and Blakely. She is preceded in death by her parents. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A. M. Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at the First Baptist Church in Pittsburg with Bro. Joel Davis, Bro. Randy Stuard, and Bro. Chris Stuard officiating with burial to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Trenton Board, Aaron Kirby, Tim Truitt, Terry Waldrep, Doug Dehmlow, and Reavis Reynolds. There will be a visitation held before the service beginning at 9:00 A. Funeral services for Wilburn Wayne Sims, 86, of Pittsburg, TX will be 2:00 p. m. , Friday, November 17, 2023, at Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Alvin Sims officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Erman Smith Funeral Home. Mr. Sims passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, surrounded by loved ones. Wilburn (Papa) Sims was born December 28, 1936, in Dallas to Jessie Cleveland and Iva Lee Grimes Sims. He was a retired Dallas Firefighter and a member of the Methodist faith. Wilburn was a man of many talents. He enjoyed the outdoors and working in his shop. He took pride in his yardwork, winning Yard of the Month multiple times in Quitman, TX. He adored his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed attending A&M tailgates in College Station with his grandsons and spoiling his granddaughters. He was proud of his seven great-grandchildren and loved watching them run around and play. His smile was contagious. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife of 68 years Sarah Walker Sims of Pittsburg; son, Jessie Sims, and wife, Twyla of Longview; daughter, Pam Scheu, and husband, Mark of Cason; grandchildren Brandi and husband, Matt of Longview, Bryan and wife, Hannah, from Cason, Brittany and husband, Jake, of Longview, and Brandon and wife, Cheyenne, of Winnsboro; great-grandchildren, Levi, Carson, Quinn, Judson, Colton, River, and Jameson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Wilburn was preceded in death by his parents, Jess and Iva Sims; sister, Faye Stephens; and brother, Charles Sims. Interment will be in the Matinburg Cemetery in Camp County. Arrangements are under the direction of Erman Smith Funeral Home. Mrs. Insall passed away Saturday, October 21, 2023, at her residence while surrounded by family. Mrs. Insall was born July 26, 1938, in Upshur County to Ezro and Eva Kelsey Hicks. She retired from being a local grocery clerk for many years and an administrator for Newsome Community Center. She was also a member of Newsome Baptist Church. She is survived by her sons, Terry Insall and wife, Joann and Phillip Insall; grandchildren, Jennifer Duckworth, Sarah Dotter, Shaun Insall, and Ty Insall; great-grandchildren, Sebastian Dickinson, Kaleb Dickinson, William Duckworth, Keagen Dotter, Kade Dotter, Karson Dotter, Zane Insall, Gracy Hignight, Aubry Hignight, Kaylana Insall, and Lynnox Insall; great-great-grandchild, Lucyanna Dotter; brothers, Robert Hicks and David Hicks; and sister, Elise Coker.
