Lee Blair, age 66 of Lake City, IA, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2023, at UnityPoint Health- Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge, IA. Lee Edward Blair was born on March 14, 1957, to parents Estelle and Arlene (Burley) Blair. He grew up in Lake City where he attended grade school and graduated from Lake City High School. On June 3, 1977, Lee was united in marriage to Joanne Blair at Woodlawn Christian Church in Lake City. Together they were blessed with three children: Jayme, Evan, and Jordanne. They raised their children in Lake City where Lee was a woodworker, creating custom cabinetry. Lee was known for a few special things: butchering chickens, making apple cider, grilling, and smoking meat, and. . . EATING CHICKEN! In his earlier years, he enjoyed hunting, fishing at Spirit Lake, woodworking, gardening, and. . . eating chicken. He loved his chicken! Most of all, Lee cherished and loved his title of grandpa. His grandkids called him "mint grandpa" because he always brought them mints. You could find him at every event or activity they had. His short life was lived to the fullest and he will be greatly missed. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 46 years Joanne Blair of Lake City, IA; children: Jayme (Nate) Kuehl, Evan Blair, and Jordanne (Curtis) Fry; grandchildren: Nash and Blair Kuehl, Ella, and Eli Blair, Avery, Brayton, and Carter Fry; siblings: Shanda Blair Graham of AK, Trent (Dee) Blair of Lake City, IA; sister-in-law: Michelle Blair of Rockwell City, IA, several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many friends.
