Northbridge- Adam R. Morrissette, 40, of Lovelace Ln. passed away suddenly at home on Monday November 27, 2023 He is survived by his two children Calvin J. Wormley of Putnam, CT and Adam R. Morrissette Jr. of Uxbridge; his mother Bernice (LeBlanc) Morrissette of Northbridge; two sisters Vanessa and her husband Nicholas Gniadek of Northbridge and Angela and her husband Michael Conway of Oxford; a brother Charles DeGennaro and his wife Robyn of Millbury; nieces Amber and Lyla; a nephew Ryder; aunts, uncles, and cousins. Born in Worcester, MA on April 5, 1983 he was son of the late Robert A. Morrissette and lived all of his life in Northbridge. Adam was self-employed as a painter and general contractor. A jack of all trades, he could skillfully plan, build, and fix anything he set his mind to. Previously, he worked for College Pro Painting, where he was a nationally recognized top performer. Educated in Northbridge Schools, he graduated from Blackstone Valley Tech and earned his Bachelor's Degree in political science from UMass Amherst with top honors. Talented and bright, he loved American History, tinkering, and all types of projects, including yard work. Adam was athletic, catching for several baseball teams including the Valley Tech Beavers. He also liked fishing, working out and to ride his bicycle. He loved to hike and always found peace being in the woods. A generous and caring person, he was close to and loved his family. He always visited his grandparents and was especially close to his mom. His funeral home service will be held on Mon. South Grafton--Diamantina (Chong-Bernal) Sleeper, age 98, died Friday, November 24, 2023, while surrounded by her loving family. One of 10 children born to Jose Chong and Maria Bernal-Loren, she was born July 7, 1925, in Limon de Colon, Panama. Diamantina leaves a son David Ross Bahrs and his wife Lorraine, of Camden, NY; two daughters: Ruth Forman and her husband Lance, of South Grafton; and Susan Bristol and her husband David, of Parish, NY: five grandchildren: Edward Bristol, Jenifer Lewis, Jaqueline Bristol, Davita Forman-Salazar, and Jared Forman; and six great grandchildren: Jason, Justin, Jada, Appolonia, Amelia, and Miles. She was predeceased by her husband Donald M. Sleeper in 1999 and her first husband David L. Bahrs, in 2018. Diamantina lived a long and full life in many places. While living in California for a time she attended Modesto Jr. College and later finished a degree in Social Work at Elizabeth City College. Later, living in upstate New York where she raised her family with her first husband, they worked for many years on the family pig farm. While married to Donald, they lived together in Marlboro for 12 years. After he died, she returned to New York state, living part of the year with her daughter Susan and the other part with Ruth. At the age of 80, she purchased a home in Panama and began living there for half the year and spending the other half with her daughters. A quiet, humble woman, Diamantina was known by her friends to be extremely funny. She loved cosmetology, receiving her degree from Elizabeth Grady in Boston. She was always "made up" and well dressed. She loved travel, horticulture and being outside. She was a hard worker. Diamantina became one of Jehovah's Witnesses at the age of 92. She loved to preach and attend Bible studies. A Memorial Talk will be held Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 1PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 120 Plain St. , Hopedale, MA. Whitinsville-Ernest (Ernie) Joseph Racicot, 91, of Heritage Dr. , passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 23, 2023 at Blackstone Valley Health and Rehab after a period of declining health. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Cecilia J. (St. Martin) Racicot. He also leaves 3 children, Mary Legg and her husband James of The Villages, FL, Deborah Boyd of Dudley, and Laurie McGonigle and her husband Sean of Milford; 5 grandchildren, Heather West, Jonathan Dawe, Shelby Fortin, Kaitlyn Legg, and Andrew Legg; 5 great-grandchildren, Avery, Ayden, Chloe, Noah, and Thomas, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was brother of the late Donald, Earl, and Florence Racicot. Born in Whitinsville on October 16, 1932, he was the son of Joel A. and Mabel F. (Skeary) Racicot and was a lifelong resident of Whitinsville. Educated in the Northbridge public schools, Ernest went on to serve in the U. S Army during the Korean War era, and was honorably discharged as a Corporal. Ernie worked nearly forty years for the former Whitin Machine Works and retired in 1987. Ernie was a true gentle man and loved his family wholeheartedly. He enjoyed family vacations, walks with his wife, the ocean, cruising, the New England Patriots, and playing Flight Simulator. Douglas- Beatrice L. "Bea" (Hayford) Tremblay, 89, formerly of Monroe St. , passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2023 after a period of declining health. She was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Leon G. Tremblay in 2006. She is survived by her daughter Ann Tremblay of Worcester; her son, Leon Tremblay Jr. and his wife Patricia of Worcester; her granddaughter and caretaker for many years, Jacklyn Cohen and her husband Nathan also of Worcester; her grandson, Robert Tremblay and his wife Melissa of Southbridge; 4 great-grandchildren, Michael, Janelle, Arthur, and Matthew, and her 2 great-great-grandchildren Justin, and Jacoby. Born on February 25, 1934 in the Manchaug section of Sutton she was daughter of the late Raymond T. and Aurore (Rinfrette) Hayford. Primarily a homemaker, she enjoyed taking care of her home, husband, and was very involved in the raising of her grandchildren. Previously she had worked for Manchaug Corp. , and the Steven Welden Corp. in Worcester. Beatrice enjoyed gardening, taking trips with her husband and grandkids, RV camping, and spending holidays with her family. She enjoyed her weekly shopping trips and ending them with a stop at Burger King. A woman of great faith, Beatrice also enjoyed reading her bible and was a former parishioner of St. Denis Church. Her family would also like to extend a very special thank you to the staff of the VNA Hospice & Palliative Care for their outstanding care and support shown to not only Bea but also her family. Douglas- Robert J. Cline, 70, passed away suddenly after being stricken ill at home. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Margaret M. "Maggie" (Uttero) Cline. He is also survived by 2 children, Robert J. Cline II and his wife Kim of Hudson, Vanessa Cline and her husband Thomas Spicer of Donegul, Ireland; a granddaughter, Alora Mae Cline of New Jersey; a nephew Josh, a niece Jenn, and many good friends. He was predeceased by his sister Debbie Elgart. Born in San Antonio, TX on October 8, 1953 he was the son of the late Robert F. and Alice (Piper) Cline and grew up in Framingham. He was a graduate of Framingham High School, and furthered his education attending the Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston where he obtained an engineering degree. Bob worked for over 30 years for the Dennis Group out of Springfield as an Engineer designing food processing plants. He was a resident of Douglas since 1985. Bob was a Car enthusiast who drove a 1973 Corvette and enjoyed bringing it to car shows. He was an amazing man, husband, and father and he will be sorely missed. Uxbridge - Jean B. "Jack" Turcotte, 74, of Julia Drive passed away on Weds. , Nov. 1, 2023, unexpectedly but peacefully at home. Jack was predeceased by his husband of 12 years, Mark Porter, who passed in 2018. Jack is survived by his three sons, David A. Turcotte and his fiance Michelle Perkins of NH, Jean B. Turcotte II and his wife Briana of Uxbridge, Ma, and Joshua A. Turcotte of Attleboro, MA; 8 grandchildren, Rylee, Madison, Abby, Ava, Elicia, Amanda, Alex, and Emily; 5 siblings, Adrien Turcotte, Vivianne Couturier, Suzie Holewka, Danny Turcotte, and Rene Turcotte, as well as many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a brother, Raymond Turcotte. Born on Dec. 15, 1948 and raised in Fall River, Jack was the son of Edward and Doris (Bernier) Turcotte. He had lived in Uxbridge since 2018. Previously he lived in Auburn. Mr. Turcotte had many talents and interests. He worked as a courier for the U. S Postal service in Portsmouth, RI. Previously he worked for K&R Auto Salvage in N. Providence and several years as an assistant to his husband in his real estate business. He attended high school in Fall River and then furthered his education graduating from UMass Dartmouth. He was a proud U. S Army Vietnam veteran who belonged to the American Legion of Millville. Jack was very knowledgeable about and dedicated to the needs of veterans. Jack 'Pepe' was a joyful, witty and caring grandfather. He loved and admired his grandchildren very much. He was so proud of them and his children and always focused on their positive qualities and various aspects of their lives. Jack had a special bond with his granddaughter, Rylee, with whom he often shared early breakfasts, afterschool snacks and fun adventures. Jack 'Pepe' felt special delight when watching Rylee and her Dad, Jean, do daily chores together, as they cared for the rescued animals on their little "farm". He found comfort after hours, when all was quiet, sitting with his son, Jean, on the front porch, reminiscing and enjoying these moments together. Jack also loved coffee, cigarettes, weed, and wine, and spending time with friends. He could banter with the best of them at the Pot Belly Pub in Millville. Jack took special pleasure in traveling near and far as well as staying home, offering adviceand making kale soup for his family. Meticulous and organized, he was caring, giving, funny and fun. Jeanne A. (Robbins) Gould died Monday, November 6, 2023, at Blackstone Valley Health and Rehab after a brief illness. In 2020, her husband of more than 55 years, Harold D. Gould, Jr. predeceased her. A daughter of Earl E. and Madeline (Dorrington) Robbins, Sr. , Jeanne was born December 31, 1934, in Blackstone, where she lived until moving to Whitinsville in 1971. Jeanne was a graduate of Blackstone High School and Worcester State College, where she earned a bachelor's degree in education. Jeanne was very proud of the fact that she was the first Kindergarten teacher for the town of Blackstone where she taught for 11 years. She later became a member of various local school building committees as an auditor, most notably for the Blackstone-Millville Regional and Nipmuc school systems. Jeanne was a member of the Blackstone Valley Art Association and the Northbridge Arts Council. As a very talented artist, she won numerous ribbons for her oil, acrylic and watercolor artwork. In addition, she won awards for her knitting and crocheting of afghans. She was an organist and choir director at the former St. Paul Church in Blackstone for many years and trustee of the Whitinsville Social Library. She was an active and dedicated member of the Whitinsville Womens Club, having served as president of the local chapter and past president at the state level. She was chosen as the Unsung Heroine of 2012 by the Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women. Jeanne was dedicated to her large extended family and was considered to be the "family caregiver". Jeanne loved watching the Patriots with her brother, Joe, and his wife, Bette. She also loved playing board games, hosting parties, and traveling to Florida and Bermuda. Jeanne is survived by her brothers Francis Joseph Robbins and his wife Bette, of Douglas and William Robbins and his wife Paula, of Alabama; her brother-in-law Norman Girard; 11 nephews, 13 nieces, 15 grandnephews, 15 grandnieces, 2 great grandnephews and 7 great grandnieces. She is predeceased by her brothers, Earl Robbins and his wife Claire, and James Robbins and his wife Marjorie; and her sisters: Marie Girard, Barbara Gautreau and her husband Oscar, and Beatrice Robbins. Uxbridge- Sandra J. (Oliver) Robbins, 80, of Garden St. , passed away on Mon. Oct. 31, 2023 at Mass General Hospital in Boston after a period of declining health. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Dwain Robbins; her 3 children, Mary C. Robbins of Slatersville, RI, Christopher C. Robbins of Uxbridge, and Matthew S. Robbins of Worcester; 3 grandchildren, Jonah A. Robbins, Ethan M. Robbins, and Lucas S. Robbins; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Born and raised in Lowell, MA she was the daughter of Charles V. and Grace M. (Lanseigne) Oliver and lived in Uxbridge 57 years. She was educated at Keith Hall Academy in Lowell, and Rivier College in Nashua. She received her Master's degree in Education at Worcester State College. Sandy taught 6th grade for over 35 years for Our Lady of the Valley Regional School in Uxbridge. Previously she taught in Newport, NH and for the Northbridge Public School system. She retired in 2019. A faithful member of St. Mary's Church, she also served as a lector. Before returning to the classroom, she was an active volunteer with OLV's bingo and PTA. In her later years she mentored cancer patients at Dana Farber in Milford. Family was the most important thing to her. She loved being in the stands or in the audience for her kids and grandchildren. Nothing made her happier than Sunday dinner with her family around her beautiful table. Sandra's Funeral Mass will be held on Tues. , Nov. 7th at 11 AM in St. Mary's Church, 77 Mendon St. , Uxbridge.
