Dorothy Helen Anderson passed away at age 97 on February 22, 2024, in Belvidere, IL, after a brief illness. She was born on November 6, 1926, in Chicago, Illinois, to Franklin and Bertha (Harris) Frazier. She graduated from MacMurray College in Jacksonville, IL, in 1948. On September 29, 1956, she married Robert Anderson, the love of her life, with whom she shared three sons and 46 years of marriage until his passing in 2002. They lived in Delafield, WI; Belvidere, IL; Rio Rancho, NM; then returned to Belvidere where they lived until their respective passing. Dorothy was an avid reader who enjoyed travel, music, and hosting family gatherings, and whose hobbies included gardening, baking, crochet, needlepoint, crossword puzzles, and Scrabble. She was a long time member of the First Presbyterian Church of Belvidere. Dorothy is survived by her sons Clifford Anderson, David (Michaela) Anderson, and Christopher (Crystal) Anderson; her grandson, Brian (Nicole) Anderson; her nieces, Linda (Jim) Doane and Patricia Cowan; her nephews, Finley (Chris) Young and Fred Frazier, and numerous grandnieces and grandnephews. She always put her family first, and will be deeply missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, and their respective spouses: brother, Donald (Doris) Frazier; sisters, Frances (John) Young and Margaret “Peggy” (Ken) Cowan; niece, Paula Cowan; and nephew, Robert Young. Dorothy’s memorial service will be at the First Presbyterian Church, 221 N. Main St., Belvidere, IL 61008. The service date is yet to be determined.

Eldon was born in lowa. December 1,1943. He will be remembered by many. Eldon was a father, grandfather, husband, brother, son and friend. Eldon enjoyed his dogs (Levi, Payton, Harley), making his yard as green as possible, and being outdoors. Eldon was an avid Bears fan and watched Nascar. He was a proud Navy veteran during the Vietnam War. Eldon also worked at Chrysler for 43 years in skill trades. Eldon liked fishing (when he had time), Jeep jamborees with his grandkids and gardening. Eldon will be missed by his wife Brenda, his children Kristine (Jason)and Kevin (Mayumi) his step children, Jennifer (Shawn)Lee, Jay Burke, and Jeremy (Sarah) Meyers. His grandkids Lukas, Kyle, Kristen, Maddie, Joey, Sara, Steven, Tyler, Sammantha, Rebbeca, Sophie and Alex. His sister, Gayle Schlitz, other family members and many great friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Nicholas and Goldie, and many siblings. Give special thanks to the Swedish American CCU team, Dr. Einhorn, and the staff of Swedish American Cancer Center. A celebration of Eldon's life will be on March 2, 2024 at the American Legion in Belvidere, lI at 1pm beginning with Military Honors in the parking lot. There will be food. Theodore Herman Grenberg

Theodore Herman Grenberg of Belvidere passed into eternal life to reunite with his wife Audrey, the love of his life for 68 years. "Ted" was born on August 12, 1926 to Herman Grenberg and Katherine Meyer in Rockford Illinois. After graduating from East High School in Rockford he enlisted in the army and fought in the south Pacific in World War Two. Upon returning from the war he graduated from Rockford Business College and became an accountant with Sundstrand Corporation from which he retired after 38 years as Vice President and General Manager of Sundstrand Hydraulic Division. Ted traveled extensively for work in Europe and Japan, and also greatly enjoyed family vacation trips to Florida and Hawaii. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Belvidere where he and Audrey served in various capacities for many years. Ted was also a very avid golfer and reader. Ted is pre-deceased by his loving wife Audrey, Herman Grenberg (father), Katherine Grenberg (mother), Ruth Nelson (sister), Ron Grenberg (brother). Ted is survived by his two children David (Carolyn) Grenberg, and Cheryl (Karl) Hamilton. Ted has three grandchildren Hilary Dietmeyer, Leanne (Brad) Toole, and Josh (Candace) Hamilton, and is also blessed with great grandchildren River, Bruce, Navy, and August. Ted's family would like to express their thanks to Dr. Malaker and his staff for their many years of excellent care that they provided to him. We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to the loving staff, and extended family at Bickford of Rockford, and to Northern Illinois Hospice for their caring attentiveness. In accordance with Ted's wishes the family will celebrate his life with a private ceremony. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Immanuel Lutheran Church of Belvidere, Northern Illinois Hospice, and the American Heart Association.

The Day You Left With tears we saw you suffer, As we watched you fade away, Our hearts were almost broken, As you fought so hard to stay, We know you had to leave us, But you never went alone, For part of us went with you, The day you left your home. Judith June Nation was born on April 25, 1944, and was the daughter of the late Gloria and Herbert McNamer. She answered the Lord’s call to her heavenly home on February 25, 2024, at her home in Belvidere, Il. Judy was united in holy matrimony to the love of her life, Gerald “Jerry” Nation on February 10, 1962, in Winona Minnesota. To this union they had three children, Michelle, Brian and Pamela. Judy was a loving wife and mother, a great homemaker and was known for her wonderful desserts and Dumpling Soup. During her life, she enjoyed baking, reading/playing games on her Kindle and playing with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her mother and father and her brother Dale McNamer. She leaves behind to cherish her legacy: her loving husband: Jerry, three children: Michelle "Shelly" (Kevin) Greenhow of Eau Claire, WI, Brian (Cheryl) Nation of Jacksonville, FL, Pamela "Pam" (Rick) Kitsemble of Belvidere, IL, nine grandchildren: Brandon and Jeremy Greenhow, John and Michael Nation, Trea Turner, Rylee and Paige Kitsemble, Ryan Kennedy and Kyle Guagenti; nine great-grandchildren: Scarlette, Zephyr, Aro, Nova, Grayson, Damon, Jaxon, Jade and Axel; two brothers, Jim McNamer of Money Creek, Minnesota and Stanly McNamer of New Port Richy, FL. To our loved ones, family and friends: The Nation family greatly appreciates the outpour of love, phone calls, emails and visits during this time. Thank you.
