She was preceded in death by her father, Stanley A. Sadowski, Jr. Sherree is survived by her loving husband of 18 years, Randy Schneider, Sr., whom she married on July 9, 2005; her mother, Shirle D., nee Payton, Sadowski; a sister, Susan (Timothy) Hoogerwerf; a nephew and niece, Khristopher Hoogerwerf and Kari Hoogerwerf; a great-niece, Shay Hoogerwerf; four step-children; seven step-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. A beautiful life that came to an end, she died as she lived, everyone’s friend. In our hearts a memory will always be kept, of one we loved and will never forget. She belonged to the Spiritual Growth and Ladies & Mens Fellowship at Trinity and was a Life member of V.F.W.-Aux. 1739 in Millstadt, IL. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois. A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, February 29th, 2024 at 11:00 am, at Mt. Evergreen Cemetery in Millstadt, IL.

She was born on July 24, 1943 in Bluffs, IL to Leroy Alvin Six and Lorena Ellen Neese. Donna worked at Calvin Johnson Nursing home for 37 years. She enjoyed camping, traveling and spending time with her family. Donna was a strong, loving woman and always made sure her family was taken care of. Her beautiful spirit and loving heart will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in her death by her father, Leroy Alvin Six; mother, Lorena Ellen Neese of Bluffs IL; husband, Edwin Renth; sisters, Ruth Shelton, Barbara Lashbrook & Ellen Sweeten of Jacksonville IL; brothers Billy, Donnie & Larry Six of Jacksonville IL; daughter, Janet M Cox; son, Richard L Boring; granddaughter, Niki Boring and grandson, Eddie Renth Jr. Surviving to cherish her memory include her Daughters, Teresa Jacks, Sandra (Michael) Flake of New Athens, IL, Laura Tyson (William Delich) of Fairview Heights, IL, and Kathy (Gary) Bujnak; Son, Eddie Renth; 23 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren; brother, Ronald (Vicky) Six of Jacksonville, IL; brother-in-law, Charles Lashbrook; daughter-in-law, Paula Boring; along with numerous dear nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family. Shirley Jean Nye, 87, of Keokuk, passed away at 8:10 AM, Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at her daughter's home in Belleville, Illinois. Shirley was born March 27, 1936, the daughter of James and Bessie (Canada) Stephenson in Keokuk. She was united in marriage to Arvest “Rocky” Nye February 23, 1961, in Kahoka, Missouri. He preceded her in death November 12, 1997. After attaining her associate degree, she worked as a supervisor at BTR in Keokuk for twenty-six years. Shirley’s favorite hobby was quilting. Shirley is survived by her children, Cheryl Higbee of Keokuk, Tina (Wayne) Warning of Fowler, Illinois, Tony (Denni) Nye of Parsons, Kansas, Susan “Sam” (John) Lawson of Belleville, Illinois, Abby (Lennie) Etter of Keokuk and Doris “Vanessa” (Donnie) Leimer of Rancho Palos Verde, California; forty-four grandchildren; and a multitude of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Bessie; husband, Arvest; a son, Steve Nye; a daughter, Audrey Shaffer; and siblings, Charles, Jimmie and Margie. Graveside service will be held at the Keokuk National Cemetery Friday March 1, 2024, at 1:00 pm. Larry Lorenzo Thurman

Mr. Larry Lorenzo Thurman was born June 25, 1975, in Centreville, IL to the union of Larry and Helen Thurman. He attended school in Belleville, IL, graduating from Belleville Township High School June 3, 1994. He attended Sanford Brown College. Larry accepted Christ in his teenage years in Belleville and participated in teen ministry as well. He joined New Life in Christ Church under Bishop Geoffrey V. Dudley, Sr. in August 2022. He loved his church, and he was proud to be a LifeChanger. He faithfully served on the Projects Team until his passing. He wrote several devotionals in the monthly newsletter, “The LifeChanger” as was his heart to encourage others with the word. Larry worked in customer service for over 20 years. He also enjoyed working on cars. Auto mechanics and car detailing were a passion of his. He also enjoyed graphic design and music production. Gone too soon, he was loved by family and friends. He was compassionate, loving and kind. He was always thoughtful and willing to help where needed. His creativity and humor made him a joy to be around. Larry literally saved two lives using his CPR training. He was recognized for his life saving efforts by the Belleville Police Association. Larry passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at home in Belleville, IL. He was preceded in death by his father Larry Thurman, his grandparents James and Rosa Thurman and Fred, Sr and Ira B. Harris, and his cousin Cheryl A. Warren. Larry leaves behind to cherish his memories: his mother Helen Thurman of Belleville, IL; sisters Carolyn Thurman, Angela Thurman and Teresa Hunter each of Atlanta, GA; his aunts Dorothy Duke and Maxine Smith of St. Louis, MO, and Linda Griffin of Belleville, IL; his uncles, Paul Thurman of Belleville, IL, and Matthew Poe of Augusta, GA; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, LifeChangers, and friends who will miss him dearly.

Ben was a United States Air Force Major and Vietnam veteran retiring in 1975 after 20 years of service. He later worked for the State Chemical Manufacturing Company and retired in 1998. He was a lifetime member of the 355 Fighter Group Association and the Belleville Holzschnitzer’s Wood Carvers. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy D., nee Crane, Shuppert, whom he married on December 26, 1959, and who died April 28, 1989; his parents, St. Clair and Dottie Clarice, nee Cover, Shuppert; and his sister, Norma Lee McGovern. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Linda Suarez-Shuppert, whom he married on July 13, 1994; his son, Larry Bruce (Nancy) Lipscomb; his daughter, Lisa Kay (Dennis) Flach; three grandchildren, Christian D. (Jill) Lipscomb, Stephen Flach and Emily, nee Lipscomb, Turnbull; several great and great-great-grandchildren; other dear family members; and a long list of friends. Vincent E. Manges, 18, of Belleville, IL, born on October 25, 2005, to Victor and Kathleen Manges in Ft. Walton Beach, FL, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024.Vincent distinguished himself in academics, athletics, and extracurricular activities. He maintained a GPA of 3.8 despite tackling some of the toughest of classes ranging from Calculus to Physics to Advanced Placement French. He participated four years in Cross Country and Swimming, finishing this season as a Swim Team Captain. He also ran track for three years.Vincent participated in Junior ROTC for three years, twice serving as a Flight Commander, and recognized for scoring in the top of the cadet corps for fitness. As a Boy Scout of Troop 40, he attained Eagle Scout rank and a Gold Palm, as well as serving as Troop Senior Patrol Leader.Vincent was selected as one of 250 boys statewide to attend IL Premier Boys State where he served as one of three Battalion Commanders directing drills and ceremonies. He also was selected and attended a Society of American Military Engineers camp at Scott Air Force Base. (Daughters of the American Revolution) and 10 year member of the Sierra Club. She devoted herself to DAR serving as past chapter regent and holding many offices. She was also active with C.A.R (Children of the American Revolution) for many years. Josephine was a talented drummer since her days at Signal Hill School and marched playing the drum in many local parades throughout her life. She enjoyed reading, researching family genealogy, and travel. She was able to visit numerous countries in her world travels including France, Turkey, Ireland, Romania and Vietnam to name a few. Memorials may be made to the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) – Belleville Chapter or C.A.R. (Children of the American Revolution) Six Mile Prairie Chapter. A Celebration of Josephine’s Life will be planned at a later date.
