Robert Ayre Obituary

Robert Ayre passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 7, following a long illness. He was born in 1940 in Larne, County Antrim, Northern Ireland. After finishing school, Robert joined the British Merchant Navy and spent most of his young adult years traveling the world, seeing exotic places and having experiences most could only dream of. After getting married, he settled down for a number of years in Larne, but ended up emigrating to Canada with his wife, Maisie, and son, Trevor. Most of his life in Canada was spent living in Cambridge, Ontario, a place he grew to love. Robert lost his only sister (Patricia) in recent years and is survived by his wife (Maisie), son (Trevor), daughter in-law (Tamera), and loving granddaughter (Quinn). In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place.
