Rob Lee Barker Rob L. Barker of Albion, Pa. took the Lord’s hand and went home on Monday, July 24, 2023 at his home. Rob was born in Erie, Pa. on April 20, 1956, the son of the late Eugene C. and Beth A. (Gibbs) Barker. He retired in 2020 from Penn Union in Edinboro, Pa where he worked in the foundry for over 45 years. Rob was a devout Christian. He enjoyed reading his Bible everyday and he valued the importance of having faith in God and Jesus, and believing in the words of the Bible. He enjoyed creating bronze statues and ornaments of just about anything. He loved cutting his grass, camping, bicycle riding, and traveling with his late best friend, Zane Currier, and he loved all his neighbors. Besides his parents, Rob was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne; a sister, Gail Kelly; four aunts, Mabel, Betty, Ida, and Frances; and two uncles, Daniel and David Gibbs. Rob is survived by two sons: Leland (Jeff) Barker of Erie, Pa. , Jason R. (Heather) Barker of Ashtabula, OH; two brothers, Tim (Cindy) Barker of Springfield, OH, and Russ (April) Barker of Platea, PA; and two Grandchildren, Ethan and Seth and a Great-Grandson, Charlie. He is also survived by several relatives and family in Michigan, Gary & Pat Burmeister, Dale & Janise Burmeister, Deb Burmeister and Sharon Burmeister. He also leaves behind his best friends, Pammy, Jamie and Matt. Rob’s wishes were to not have any services. Memorials may be made In Memory of Rob Barker to his son Jason.

Richard D. Hayes Richard D. Hayes, age 82 of Albion, Pa. , passed away Sunday, August 6, 2023 at home. He was born January 5, 1941 in Franklin Twp. , the son of the late Robert L. and Thelma B. (Lawrence) Hayes. Richard attended the Rice Avenue Union High School. His first real job was pushing that mower up Whiteman Hill and the Model Works. He and his best friend joined the Army in 1961-1964 and were sent to Fort Knox and then shipped off to Korea. When he came back to the USA, his mother led him straight off to the Federated Church were he met up with his wife, Dottie Weyneth. They were married 57 years with remarriage at 25 and 50th anniversary dates. So, believe it or not, Richard was wed to the same woman three times. Living in the small town idealic life, he became the proud father of two sons. Brian and Shawn. Grandfather to Ashley and Great-Grandfather to Madi, Ellie and Bryson. Being a grandfather was his crowning glory with the cherry on top of life. Although his Great-grandchildren all called him "Grumpy Papa", he had a heart of gold to share with them all. Through it all, Richard loved to travel; especially Tennessee. He pedaled his (***) all over Albion and participated at the Albion Fair with his Fairbank Morse Hit and Miss Engines. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, making maple syrup, trick and treating, and cruising in his pride and joy, 1955 Chevy Truck to car shows. Richard enjoyed life and having a lot of fun. On a serious note, he did work from time to time. He worked at General Electric, the old Texaco Station in Girard and retired after 36 years from PHB. His true character shines through living up to his nickname, "Gabby Hayes. " His favorite saying was "when you stop talkin, they’ll shut the lid on you. " Richard is survived by his wife, Dottie (Weyeneth); son, Shawn (Tom Landfried), Granddaughter, Ashley (Zack Switzer) and Great Grandchildren, Madi, Ellie and Bryson. He was preceded in death by his son, Brian Hayes on April 2, 2023; a sister, Janet Raffensberger and a nephew, Jack Raffensberger and his parents, Robert and Thelma Hayes. Clara "Tootie" Moore Clara F. Moore, age 83 of Albion, Pa. , was reunited with her husband in Heaven on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at her home with her family by her side. Clara was born on August 31, 1939 in Fairview, Pa. , the daughter of the late Raymond Ellsworth and Elizabeth Childs (Exley) Petri, Sr. Many of Clara’s friends knew her as "Tootie. " She was a member of the Fairview High School Class of 1957. She worked for many years at Marx Toys in Girard, the Ervite Corp. , and also cooked for Bingo at the Lake Shore Fire Dept. Tootie served as an EMT and Lieutenant with Lake Shore Fire Dept. as well as Treasurer for several years. She was also a member of the Springfield Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary during the 70’s and 80’s. Tootie also cooked at the Albion Sportsman’s Club for many of their different club functions for many years. She enjoyed knitting, gardening, sewing, crochet and working puzzles. She had a remarkable talent for her beautiful gardens. She enjoyed spending time with her dog, Lyla and attending family and school events. She was a caretaker at heart and spent many years of her life as such. She was often the first person to whom family and friends would call in times of celebration and times of need or to simply talk about life in general. She was always there for others and was known by many and loved by all. Besides her parents, Clara was preceded in death by her husband, James F. Moore in 2019, two sisters; Nancy Shaffer and Rebecca Perkowski, and one brother, John Petri. She is survived by two children: Peggy (Pat) Lawrence of Albion, Pa. , and John (Annette) Moore of Girard, Pa. Also, one brother, Raymond (Sally) Petri of Fairview. She will be missed by many grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call at the Jean Evans Thompson Funeral Home at 11883 Main Street, East Springfield, Pa on Friday, August 25th from 2 to 4 followed by a Celebration of Life Service. Mary Jane Huston, 84, of Albion, PA, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday morning, August 22, 2023. She was born July 30, 1939, the daughter of Rodney and Helen (Lasher) Henretty, Sr. Mary Jane was a long-time member of Grace United Methodist Church. She had a deep love for children and it was expressed through her teaching Sunday school for the toddlers and preschoolers with her good friend Barb Forinash. She enjoyed sewing and knitting, especially slippers, Afghan's, and making dresses for her family. And as her family observed she could sew just about anything probably with her eyes closed. She loved a good family get-together, especially Christmas. When her little house would be bursting at the seams with children. She was a member of Cherry Hill Grange and enjoyed going to parades. Mary Jane loved her children. She had a huge mother's heart, taking in foster children along with raising eight children she loved so much. She enjoyed hosting family dinners on Sundays after church and holiday gatherings for her family. Survivors include her daughters Sheila (Scott) Williams of Mentor, OH, Sharon (Scott) Beery of Albion, Dawn (Shannon) Huston-Rider of Albion, sons Randy (Christina) Huston of Albion, Matthew Huston, of Albion, and David (Chris) Huston of W. Springfield; 27 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and her brother Rodney Henretty of South Carolina. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Royce (Buck) Huston, Sr. ; sons Darryl in infancy, Duane at birth, Michael, and Royce "Bucky" Huston, Jr. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 26, 2023 at Grace United Methodist Church, 49 Franklin St. , Albion, PA 16401, with Rev. Obituary of Caroline Simon Caroline Simon, 80, of Conneaut passed away Wednesday December 22, 2021, at UH-Conneaut Medical Center. She was born August 19, 1941, in Albion, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Homer and Blanche (Ross) Kinney. Carol graduated from Northwestern High School. She married the love of her life Kenneth Simon on December 11, 1965. Over the year, Carol and her husband Ken opened their home and their heart to many children. They served the Lord through the foster system for over 25 years. Mrs. Simon was a member of the former Lakeview United Methodist Church, now New LEAF, where she taught Bible school and sang in the choir. Carol enjoyed taking rides to the lake and picking strawberries. She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers Fan. Most of all she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will deeply be missed by her daughter, Millie (Max Wheston) Simon; son, David (Grace) Simon; grandchildren, Zach Simon, Karter Kaczoroski, Marriea Simon, Alex Simon, Faith Simon, Jason Bowers, Nathan Bowers, Jennifer Tredway, Markie McElroy, her faithful K-9 granddog, Frisky; brother and sister-in-law, John and Kathy Simon; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. Carol was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Ken on December 24, 2020; sisters, Jeanette (Charles) Bowers, Winnifred (Robert) Guy; brothers, Vernard and Glenn Kinney; and her parents. John R. Graves, Sr. John R. Graves, Sr., of Albion, Pa went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 4, 2021 at St. Vincent Health Center, Erie, Pa. John was born on April 26, 1921, in Albion, PA, the son of the late Andrew M. and Grace P. (Mead) Graves. John Graduated from the Albion High School and became a truck driver for many years. He was a member of the Keepville Methodist Church and in his earlier years, he raised hogs on the farm and enjoyed gardening. Besides his parents, John was preceded in death by a sister, Ida Strait, and a brother, Andrew M. Graves, Jr. He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy Jane (Crooks) Graves; two sons,John R. Graves, Jr. (Bobbie) of Albion, James A. Graves (S.J.) of Taylor, SC; and three daughters, Judy A. Hornstrom of Erie, Barbara L. Barron (Kent) of Lake City, and Dorothy J. Obituary Patricia Ann "Patty" Grebiner, 56, of Albion, PA was called home to be with the Lord and loved ones who passed before her on Saturday, March 27, 2021. Patty leaves behind the love of her life, Kerry Nassef and her beloved stepchildren Brittany Betit (Brett) and Lucas Nassef. She is reunited in eternal life with her beloved parents, Ardell and Rosemary (Coyne) McCune, Uncle Gary McCune, and Aunts, Blanche McCune and Hazel Flak. Patty will be greatly missed by many family members and friends. Growing up in Pittsburgh, Patty was a lifelong Steelers fan. Her passions were crafting, hosting parties, and playing bingo. She enjoyed baking and loved to share her crafts and treats with friends and family. To know Patty was to love her. She was a source of light and love to all who knew her, and her infectious laughter and smile could brighten any room. With a kind and generous heart, she made an impact on everyone she met and was dearly loved. Obituary John R. Prindle, age 72 of Albion, Pa. died peacefully at UPMC Hamot in Erie on Sunday afternoon, January 24, 2021. John was born in Erie, Pa. on May 4, 1948, the son of the late John R. and Virginia Baugher Prindle, Sr. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and worked for many years as a Mast Builder for Tartan Yachts (Novis) in Conneaut, OH. Prevoiusly, he worked for Loger Co. in Girard, Pa. He had attended the Federated Church and was a member of the VFW Post #740 in McKane/Edinboro and was a member of the Abates Motorcycle Club. He was also a member of the Albion Moose Club. He enjoyed reading the Bible especially Max Lucado books and devotionals and he enjoyed playing on his Kindle looking at Facebook. In his earlier years, John enjoyed camping and fishing. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle with his wife, Irene sitting right behind him. They traveled to a lot of places by motorcycle - the two of them. Besides his wife, Irene A. (Grzemski) Prindle, John is survived by two daughters; Paula and Heidi Prindle; a step-daughter, Megan Deluca; and three step-sons, Mark (Jennifer) Deluca, Mathew (Marie) Deluca, and Michael Deluca. He is also survived by a sister, Cindy Prindle, and two step-sisters, Terrie (Don) Goodenow and Lisa Prindle and two step-brothers, Michael (Michelle) Prindle and Peter (Sharon) Prindle along with seven grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Klemm, age 78 of Albion, Pa. went home to be with her Lord, Jesus Christ on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at RollingFields Elder Care Community in Conneautville, Pa. where she had been recently residing. Judy was born on Cherry Hill Road on February 4, 1942, the daughter of the late John William and Isabelle (Wykoff) Walker). She graduated from the Northwestern High School and was a member of both the Kidder Corner's Community Church and the Church of the Nazarene. Judy was not only a good Christian woman, but also a hard worker all of her life and worked at AVI as a Supervisor. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, John Lewis Walker and Silas Walker. Judy is survived by a daughter, Brenda Case (Gary) of Girard; two sons, Jeff Klemm (Cathy Fehr) of Albion, and Larry Klemm (Stacie Gourley) of Cambridge Springs and two sisters, Bessie Olmstead of Girard, and Shirley Kelley of Albion and two brothers, George G. Walker of Albion and Ed Joslin of Springboro. Judy is also survived by seven wonderful grandchildren: John and Amanda Case, Jared, Tracey, and Jess Klemm, and Madison and Aubrey Klemm.
