"Gary Steven McKearney, 76, born on December 3, 1946, in Attleboro, Massachusetts, has peacefully left us on November 25, 2023. Gary was a dedicated and generous man, always ready to lend a hand to those in need. He was a devoted husband, father, and friend, whose utmost joy was spending time with his family. Gary was raised in Rehoboth, where he made a warm, welcoming home with his beloved wife, Kimberly. Gary was a proud graduate of Attleboro High School, Class of 1965. A man of many skills and talents, he worked at Texas Instruments, served as a Police Officer for the Town of Rehoboth, and was the owner and operator of GJM Manufacturing. Gary had a passion for fishing, boating, gardening, restoring antique cars and trucks, riding on his tractors, and woodworking. His dedication extended to the Mason\u0027s Club, where he was an active member contributing to the community. Gary leaves behind his cherished wife Kimberly A. (Wetzel) McKearney of Rehoboth; his daughter Christine J. McKearney-Marcotte of Rehoboth; two sons Gary S. McKearney Jr. and his wife Kristen of Wolfforth, TX and Ryan J. McKearney and his wife Emily of Dighton; his step-son Kris Carrier and his wife Kristina of Attleboro; his many grandchildren, Brittney N. D\u0027Agostino of West Warwick, RI, Gianna G. Priesing and her husband Curtis of Mansfield, CT; Noelle A. McKearney of Fall River, Patrick D. McKearney of Seekonk, Miranda L. McKearney of Johnston, RI, Sarah J. Blais of Germany, Jayde J. D\u0027Agostino of Johnston, RI, Emma N. McKearney of Wolfforth, TX, Tristan M. Marcotte of Rehoboth, Emery E. Carrier of Attleboro and Mackenzie A. Carrier of Attleboro; also survived by two great granddaughters, his brother-in-law Edward Dyer, sister-in-law Elizabeth McKearney and 21 nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, James \u0026quot;Leo\u0026quot; and Gladys M. (Johnson) McKearney and his siblings, James L. McKearney Jr. and his wife Betty Lou, Gladys M. Benoit and her husband Robert, Ronald E. McKearney and his wife Helen, Richard A. McKearney and his wife Betty, Janet A. Dyer and Raymond C. McKearney. The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at AdviniaCare Southpointe for their wonderful, loving care to Gary. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gary's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association directly at https://www. alz. org/ Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation from 1-4pm on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 4, 2023, at 10am at the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Oak Knoll Cemetery, 310 Tremont Street, Rehoboth.
