Rita Alley Obituary

Mrs. Rita "Diann" Burris Alley, 69 of Fries, VA passed away Sunday, May 7, 2023 after fighting a long battle with lung cancer. She was born in Sparta, NC on December 20, 1953 to the late Carroll and Hylda Osborne Burris. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Alley. She is survived by her son, Darrin (Christy) Alley of Galax, VA; daughter, Karen (Jim) Smith of Fries, VA; sister and brother in law, Teresa and Buddy Moore; three granddaughters, Katy Smith, Emily Smith and Carleigh Alley; one special nephew, Cody Moore; special dog and best friend, Te Rex.
