Ricky Trammell Obituary

Ricky Coleman Trammell, 64, of Amarillo, passed away on Friday, April 21, 2023. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, April 27, 2023 at Pinnacle Church, 7305 Coulter St. with Pastor Justin Roberts and Pastor John Shelton officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 PM Wednesday at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. Ricky was born June 19, 1958 in Amarillo, Texas to Virgil and Ruth Trammell. He graduated from Caprock High School. He married his wife, Tammy on May 12, 1986 in Amarillo. Ricky was a dedicated employee at J. Lee Milligan, where he has worked as a truck driver for 38 years. In his spare time, Ricky enjoyed swimming, cooking out, riding his Harley and spending time with family. He loved going to Friday night high school football games; it didn't matter what teams were playing. Ricky was a kind-hearted man who never met a stranger. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Carroll Shelton and William Shelton; and a sister, Ann Massicotte. Survivors include his wife, Tammy Trammell; three sons, Calvin Trammell and wife Lacy, Brandon Trammell and wife Trista, and Bradley Trammell and wife Macy all of Amarillo; and eight grandchildren, Levi, Londyn, Lincoln, Tavi, Jayden, Brycen, Haylee and Brody.
