Ricky Lee Hellyer, 52, of Huntsville, went to be with his Lord and Savior Monday, September 11, 2023 at Mercy Hospital in Rogers. He was born July 26, 1971 to the late Clinton and Mary (Bartlett) Hellyer in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He attended the House of Prayer in Huntsville. He loved motorcycles and music. His two favorite things were hearing his children sing and getting together with family and friends. He is survived by the love of his life for 22 years, April Hellyer; his second loves, Ablaiza Hellyer of Waldron and Riley and Aliza Hellyer of the home; his sister, Cynthia Johnson and Robert of St. Paul; his brother, Gary Hellyer of Summers; many nieces and nephews, many local kids who called him "Dad", and most importantly, his dogs Roxy and Cricket. All who knew and loved Ricky are welcome to attend a celebration of Ricky's life on Saturday, September 16, 2023 and 11AM at the House of Prayer in Huntsville with Pastor Lavina Tyson officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Madison County Funeral Service to help toward funeral expenses. Funeral services are under the direction of Madison County Funeral Service of Huntsville.

Sheila Marie Pitts, 59 of Joplin, Missouri, was given the ultimate birthday present on October 8, 2023 She was given her wings to fly home, away from the pain of this world, after suffering from several health issues As many friends have said, "No one could clean like Sheila " She always felt she had nothing to give but the things she could physically do for others Sheila gave away things that she needed herself but thought someone else needed more She loved her dog Scotty, who passed during one of her many hospital stays Sheila spent countless hours with Lillian, one of the grandchildren, playing dolls, watching her do her "tricks", and just watching her play outside as they both loved being in the sun They were best buddies She received her GED, finishing with the highest grade in the group, and attended beauty school in Springdale, Arkansas She attended Risen Ranch Cowboy Church in Carthage, Missouri too Sheila was a great cook, known for her cornbread dressing at Thanksgiving and Christmas, the nutritious snacks she insisted the children were given, and the many meals she prepared while living with Jan and Bub before dementia began to take her memory As the diabetes began to take its toll on her body, her end stage renal failure led the family to put her in hospice But yet again, as she always did, doing things in her own way and in her own time, she went home on her birthday before anything could be finalized She was a free spirit, and her antics will be missed by her family Sheila was born in Huntsville, Arkansas on October 8, 1964, to Rudolph Taylor and Martha Lee (McKinney) Pitts She was raised with her sisters DeeAnn (Patrick) Landry of Terrell, Texas, Janice (Bub) Woods of Joplin, Missouri, Teresa Ritchie of Huntsville, Arkansas, and her brother, Robert Pitts of Fayetteville, Arkansas Sheila was preceded in death by her parents and a sister-in-law, Judy Pitts She is survived by her siblings; 2 sons, Wade and Weston; 5 grandchildren, 7 nephews, 3 nieces, plus numerous friends from Minnesota to Texas including her special friend, Pam Easley A celebration of life will be held at the Clifty Church on October 14, 2023, at 11:00 A M with Gary Martin officiating Memorials can be made to Paws and Claws Pet Shelter in Huntsville, Arkansas Funeral services are under the direction of Madison County Funeral Service of Huntsville To to the family or in memory of Sheila Marie Pitts, pleaseShow more

Jack Scott, 81, of Elkins, AR passed away Sunday, August 6, 2023 at his home. He was born August 30, 1941 in Springdale, AR to Winfred Leon and Helen Mae Long Scott. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Carrol Dean Scott. Jack retired from Arkhola Sand and Gravel after 35 years of service as a mechanic in the maintenance department. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and gardening. After retiring, he took on a new role, The "Papa Taxi". He made sure the grandkids made it to where they needed or wanted to go. Jack loved his grandchildren. In later years, Emilee and Caden returned the favor, and became the "Papa Taxi". He is survived by his wife, Lee Marlin Scott of the home; daughter, Jackie Terry and husband Eric of Elkins; grandchildren, Emilee Camp and her husband Ethan and Caden Terry; a sister, Lonita Graham of Springdale; along with a beloved host of family and friends. Robert Ward Wilder, 79 of Huntsville, went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, September 8, 2023 at Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks in Fayetteville. He was born June 25, 1944 to the late Jacob C Wilder and Frances G Gregory in Lebanon, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Dawn Michelle Wilder and a brother, Tony Tubb. He is survived by the love of his life for 14 years, Barbara Ashby; his daughter, Delana Fisher and son, Dana Wilder both of Springfield, Oregon; a stepdaughter, Danielle Rudolph of Huntsville; a sister, Mary Evelyn Allen of Tennessee; seven grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. "James A. Thomas, of Elkins, Arkansas, passed away on Monday, August 28, 2023, at his home at the age of 79 years young. Jim was born on March 3, 1944, in Drakestown, Arkansas, to George Sherman and Eda Edna (Rogers) Thomas. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Janie Thomas, and brother Lynn Thomas. Jim moved to Omak, Washington when he was 8 years old, and lived there until he was 18, when he returned back to Fayetteville and graduated from Fayetteville High School. After graduation, Jim joined the United States Navy, where he served on the aircraft carrier USS Ranger from 1962 to 1964. He was an avid fisherman, an excellent friend, and a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. William "Larry" Omohundro, 75, of Elkins, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 6, 2023 at The Blossoms at Rogers Health & Nursing Center. He was born February 21, 1948 in Fayetteville, Arkansas to William Roscoe and Virginia Louise (Cox) Omohundro. He worked for Fayetteville Public Schools for 48 years. He was a member of Round Mountain Community Church for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and get togethers with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Heather Marie Omohundro. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Dianne (Counts) Omohundro of Elkins; son, Dwayne Omohundro and wife Jessica of Elkins; sister, Carol Allen of Farmington as well as many other family members and friends. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 14, 2023 from 5-7 P. M. at Round Mountain Community Church. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at 2P.
