Rickey Round Obituary

Rickey Dee Round, passed away on April 28, 2023, at Boone Hospital, surrounded by his loved ones. Rick was born in Leadville, Colorado on September 27, 1955, to Romaine Dean Round and Phyllis Corine (Lloyd) Seward. He married Kathryn White on January 18, 1975, in Kirksville, Missouri. To that union was born 3 children. Rick graduated from Kirksville High School and went on to receive his bachelor's degree in Religious Education - Religious Studies from Southwest Baptist College in May of 1981. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, creating with stones, and writing short stories. He played the guitar and loved to sing. Rick is survived by his wife Kathey of Columbia, Missouri; daughter Sara Round of Liberty, Missouri; son Aaron Round of Columbia; his father R. D. Round (Sharon) of Grand Junction, Colorado; and Mother Phyllis Seward of Kirksville; sister Terry Jo Round of Kirksville, Missouri; and a brother Kevin Round (Donita) of Texas; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter Jo Anne Elizabeth Round; a sister, Rayla Anna Goss; his grandparents, Ivan and Crystal (Robison) Lloyd; James Noal Round, and Pauline (Vance) Round McKim Vincent.
