It is with great sadness that we announce that Rick Thomas True passed away peacefully near his home in Aurora on August 20th, 2023, at the age of 79. Born to Myrl He is survived by his daughter (Kathy True), son (Jerry True), four grandchildren (Payten, Devin, Paloma and Jax), and fiance (Vicki Metz). Although he is no longer physically here, his spirit will live on in our hearts forever. A funeral service will be held at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary and Cemetery (7777 W. 29th Ave. , Wheat Ridge, CO) on Thursday Sept 14, 2023, at 10:00 in the Chapel of Peace. Committal Service will follow at 11:30 am (Ft. Logan National Cemetery - Shelter C), where Rick will receive Marine Corp Honors, All Veterans Honor Guard and the Honor Bell, ahead of being laid to rest. Barbara Neele Mulkins entered the Kingdom of heaven on November 25th after an unexpected decline in her health. Barbara was born in Denver, Colorado on November 13th, 1945. Barbara met the love of her life, Gary Mulkins, in 1958 when they were in seventh grade at Lake Middle School. The two knew their love was made to last and were married on May 20, 1966. Eager to start their lives together, they welcomed their daughter, Tamara (Tammy) and their son, Michael (Mike). Barbara adored her children and was a proud champion of their many successes in life. Barbara was a beautiful, compassionate, fun, thoughtful, and strong woman who took pride in her role at Apex Die & Box, skillfully operating the challenging stripping machine. Her dedication and hard work were evident to her employer and coworkers. The company lost a very dedicated employee when she chose to leave, prioritizing her commitment to raising her family. Barbara devoted her life to family, raising two wonderful kids, caring for six grandchildren, and even watching her five great-grandchildren up until her last days. Her husband, Gary, adored her and together they instilled in their family the values of love, faith, kindness, and strength. Barbara always had a kind word or caring message to share with her family members. She was also a very patient and loving dog-mom. She loved many dogs throughout her adult life, and the family takes comfort in knowing that Mitzi, Poco, Molly, Shania, and Shila greeted her in heaven with their tails wagging. Barbara dedicated herself wholeheartedly to others, yet her true priority always centered around her family. She delighted in imparting her wisdom and enthusiasm, whether it was sharing an inspirational quote, a newly learned health tip, gardening, or the joys of cooking. Her inherent curiosity drove her constant pursuit of knowledge and she was a voracious reader. Anyone who knew her could see her deep admiration for God's creation and her tender affection for family, friends, young children, and animals. While her sudden departure undoubtedly left a void, she had diligently prepared and taught us at every opportunity. Barbara's authenticity, uniqueness, and wisdom were evident, and she lived her faith with sincerity. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Bobby. She is survived by her husband Gary, her sister Pam, her daughter Tammy, her son Mike, her son-in-law Brian, and her daughter-in-law Heather. She is also survived by her wonderful grandchildren Ashley, Kinzie, Kaylyn, Austin, Jesse, and Matia, and her great grandchildren Landon, Sophia, Emmy, Elliot, and Brody. We will forever miss and cherish her strength, motherly advice, fierce spirituality, determination, and caring nature. She will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know her. A public celebration of life will be held at the Crown Hill Chapel in Wheat Ridge on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at 10 a. m. David Lawrence Madson January 11, 1947 - November 27, 2023 David Lawrence Madson, Dave, to most, passed away in Wheat Ridge, Colorado at the age of 76 on November 27, 2023 from complications resulting from Covid. Dave was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin, the first child of Lawrence and Ruby Madson. He spent his early years growing up with his sister Cindy (DeLong) in the neighborhood of Custerdale in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, a WW II community for families of shipbuilders. The humidity and cold winters were a challenge for Dave's asthma, so the young family moved to Arvada, Colorado for the drier climate. It was here, his youngest sister, Gini (Krattenmaker) was born. Dave was diagnosed with cerebral palsy as a young boy but didn't let it get the best of him. He spent many active hours fishing and riding bikes. Music gave Dave great pleasure; he loved and knew all the surfer bands - especially The Beach Boys. He would take his 45 (rpm) records down to the Ralston Recreation Center skating rink and spend hours with the "DJ" playing songs for the skaters over the loudspeakers. He was also a regular at Arvada Billiards - even had his own billiards cue. Dave became a driver during the muscle car era sporting a Chevelle Super Sport of which he was mighty proud. His cousins and uncle in Illinois trick-painted it for him one summer and he and his two sisters had the time of their lives driving it back to Colorado in the heat and humidity of Iowa and Nebraska blasting "The Best of Cream" on the 8-track the entire while! Officer Ed McCarthy was a big influence on Dave, as he was for so many young people in Arvada. He introduced Dave to the Arvada Optimist Club early on in Dave's adulthood; Dave remained an active member for most of his adult years. Dave was always a hard worker. As a youngster, he delivered The Denver Post on his "paperboy special" bicycle - having the largest paper route in the city of Arvada. After high school graduation Dave joined the workforce, saving his money to buy a great little brick house in Arvada with a large yard which he kept beautifully manicured. Eventually, cerebral palsy got the best of Dave, and he had no choice but to take an early retirement, moving into an assisted living facility and finally a nursing home. Through it all, he remained a loyal Cheesehead, rooting for the Packers in good years and bad. He never forgot a birthday or anniversary - phoning folks as best he could right up until the end. Kathryn (Kathy) E. Roerig Moore was born in Fort Collins, Colorado on July 24, 1935, and died on November 25, 2023, in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. As her father was a Captain in the U. S. Army, Kathy spent time in Washington, Alabama, Oklahoma, and Kansas before returning to North Denver prior to World War II. After graduating from North High School, Kathy attended the University of Colorado at Boulder, where she met her husband, Thomas. As they were both teachers, they lived in Sugar City, Colorado teaching school. After the arrival of their first child, they relocated to Arvada where they raised four children. A stay-at-home mom until the youngest was in Jr. High School, Kathy was very involved with the children's education and served on the PTA, volunteering as a crossing guard before and after school. Returning to the workforce, she worked several temporary jobs until landing at the Bureau of Reclamation. Kathy would work for the Bureau for 35 years, retiring at the age of 80. Kathy was a dedicated, lifelong member of Highlands United Methodist Church, attending church as a child with her grandmother, Mother and sister. Tom and Kathy would raise their children at HUMC. Kathy served in a multitude of ways at the church teaching Vacation Bible School, a member of United Methodist Women, a Communion Steward, member of the choir and serving on Board of Trustees, Finance and Staff Parish Relations committees. Kathy is preceded in death by her husband Tom, mother, father and sister Ann Roerig Livingston. Kathy is survived by her son Thomas (Tammie) and daughters Allison, Elizabeth and Denise. Kathy is also survived by three grandchildren David (Ashley), Stephanie, Thomas (Livia) and seven great-grandchildren Sullivan, David, Bradley, Elizabeth, Owen, Gabriel and Cadence. Gene Knutson

Age - 92

Gene was born on January 18th 1931 to Sidney L. Knutson and Tillie L. (Christopherson) Knutson in Yankton, South Dakota. His older sister Delores had been born in February of 1929. She had passed away at a young age. Not a lot is known about her. His younger sister Beverly was born in December of 1934. She passed away in July of 2008 of cancer. Sidney and his family lived in South Dakota until February of 1937 and in St Jo Missouri until 1942 before finding the place that he and his family would eventually call home; Denver, Colorado. As a young child living in St. Jo Missouri, Gene would travel by bus to visit his Grandpa Louis and Grandma Carrie in Yankton during the summers. The whole Christopherson family lived there working their farms and ranches. He learned many lessons from his grandparents Louis and Carrie Christopherson and all of his hard working Uncles and Aunts. He had very fond memories and has told many stories about this time in his life. He had idolized his grandfather from an early age and contributed his work ethic to the things he had learned on the farm growing up. The family had followed the Lutheran denomination with multiple members of the family involving themselves within the church. Gene was an altar boy at a young age for several years at the Lutheran Church they attended until his teens. He was asked by the Pastor to consider attending the seminary. After much deliberation, Gene respectfully turned down his offer. Somewhere along the line, Gene developed a burning passion and a love for everything aviation. He had pursued this interest until he was a young man, eventually being able to purchase and pilot his own plane. He had been in the Army Reserves and the Navy Reserves for four years each. We asked, why the Navy, he said because they have planes! Throughout his life he owned several airplanes and kept upgrading while perfecting his flying skills. He joined a flying club called the 10 Hi Fyers. He recalled many trips to Yankton, South Dakota where he would fly in just for the day just to visit his Grandpa and Grandma. These memories were very important to him and he enjoyed sharing all of his stories with his family. Gene attended Manual High School where he graduated in 1950. He had many friends due to his outgoing and jovial personality. Throughout his young adulthood and even as a juvenile, he had held numerous jobs. Gene was always working hard and trying to make a dollar. This work ethic was instilled in him from an early age and he took pride in that. Some of his jobs at an early age included delivering papers, and worked with the printers for the Denver Post and the Rocky Mountain News. Around the time that he was about ready to graduate, he had decided to take some time off and enjoy the hard earned money that he had accumulated. A call from his Dad requesting him to come work for Alcoves where his dad worked changed those plans. Shortly after that phone call Gene was working for Alcoves, as a carpet mechanic originally located in the WheatRidge area. Gene worked his way up to installing carpet because of the fact that he wasn't afraid to work hard and get his hands dirty. During High School he had met the girl that was to become the love of his life, Dorothy Joanne Goodrich. She adored him so much! Joanne was still in high school, she was a couple years younger than him. They had met at a school function, and from then on they were absolutely inseparable. She was involed in many different school clubs including ROTC. Gene and Joanne were married after she graduated high school. They soon had their first child, Larry Gene. He was born on 8/15/1951, they were living at 4994 Unitilla at the time. This was their first house together. Gene tells the story the first time he took Larry in his airplane. Larry was about 18 months old, boy did his Mother-In-Law Ivie have something to say about that. Gene respected his In-Laws, Ivie and Perry Goodrich and adhered to their wishes of not taking Larry for rides in his airplane. Gene always got along well with the Goodrich family, they always had love and respect for one another. Then along came Debra Lynn, she was born 2/25/53, she was the middle child. Then came Sherri Kay, she was born on 12/14/56. Sometime after that, they moved to Larsh Drive and lived there for several years. In 1966 the family decided to have a home built at 3673 Simms, WheatRidge. The family lived in Applewood during the time the house was being built. At that time, Gene and Joanne purchased a restaurant and lounge called the Sheri-Dale but renamed it to the Madrid in Arvada. They both worked at their new restaurant. Joanne worked during the day and Gene worked his normal job during the day and worked at the restaurant at night. They moved into their new house in 1968. This is where Gene lived until 2022, Joanne passed away in 1S992. Gene lived in that house for thirty plus years by himself. All their children were married and had children of their own. There are many success stories, and all have done well with the paths that they have chosen. All in all the, these are only some of the things that can be remember best about Gene - Dad always did it his way He was always very encouraging to his family and friends He was a great husband, father and friend He had a true love for flying He was very funny and liked to make people laugh He idolized his mother, father, and his Grandpa and Grandma Christoferson. Thomas Neumeyer

Brother, son, uncle, friend, traveler, chemist, chef, Tommy Neumeyer was born in El Paso, Texas and grew up in Denver, Colorado. His love for the Pacific Northwest took him to Seattle, Washington, where he resided for several years. He was a dual citizen of the United States and Mexico. While he lived in the states for the entirety of his life, his travels took him all over the world with frequent visits to Spain, Germany, Honduras, Mexico, Canada, and more. His heart ultimately rests in Spain. Tommy graduated from Regis Jesuit High School and Cum Laude from Creighton University with a major in chemistry and a minor in physics. Tommy had an accomplished career in the biotech industry as a chemist and certified quality engineer. Tommy was widely known for his world travels, intellect, worldly knowledge, passion for current events and social justice, and of course, his expertise in the kitchen. Tommy is survived by his mother, Patricia Kurita, father, Thomas Neumeyer Sr. , stepmother, Nelly Neumeyer, sisters, Carla Gonzalez, Dana Buonanducci and Michelle Brayton, nephew, Felix Brayton, nieces, Emmy and Nelly Marie Buonanducci, extended family around the country, and his beloved cat, Schatzi. In Loving Memory Tim J. Frank 1959-2023 Tim (Timmy) Frank entered his heavenly home on Nov. 20, 2023. He is survived by his sister Jodene Monroe (Dan), two nieces: Regina Eslick (Travis), Allison Boyd (Chris); three great-nieces, Akeelah, Rylanah and Rachel and two great-nephews, Garrett and David. In addition, Tim leaves behind his Aunt Froncie (Ann) (the last of his 5 aunts and 4 uncles) and many loving cousins. Born in August 1959 to Joseph Frank, Tim split his growing up years between Sterling and Westminster, CO. He graduated from Sterling High School in 1977 and received his associate degree in architectural drafting from the Denver Institute of Technology in 1991. For a while, Tim worked using his degree before discovering he was not thriving. In 2006 he had an opportunity to join the custodial team for Westminster Public Schools; he grabbed that brass ring and never looked back. He KNEW this was the perfect fit for him, and he for them. Tim finally got to do what he loved the most -- help others! As described by his co-workers "His compassion for all of his coworkers is unmatched - Anything you needed at any time - he was your guy" and "Tim was a cherished member of our team and his presence brought joy and warmth to us all. He will be remembered for his positive qualities, hard work ethics and friendships he built with many over the years. " Tim amused and touched us over the years with his quick wit and his invented phrases --- and if you ever heard either of these quotes from "Forest Tim" - "Those must be comfortable shoes, I bet you could walk all day in shoes like that and not feel a thing. I bet if I think about it real hard I can remember my first pair of shoes. "Lieutenant Daan" and "That's all I have to say about that. . . . " you were as special to him as Jen - ay was to Forest Gump. When Tim wasn't taking care of others, he loved the scenery of his bike rides up and around Echo Lake - the fresh outdoor air energized his warm loving heart.
