Funeral services for Richard Puckett, 84, of Calhoun, will be held at 2:00 P. M. , Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at First Baptist Church in Calhoun, Louisiana. Brother Neil Everett and Brother Werner Aswell will officiate. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes in West Monroe. M. , Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at First Baptist Church in Calhoun, Louisiana. Brother Neil Everett and Brother Werner Aswell will officiate. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes in West Monroe. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00 P. M. until 2:00 P. M. at the church. Richard was born on April 30, 1938 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to the late, Tilley and Thelma Hughes Puckett and went home to his heavenly home on April 21, 2023 in Calhoun, Louisiana. He was an ordained deacon of First Baptist Church in Calhoun. Richard was a veteran of the United States Army. He was Constable of Ward 6 for 30+years. Richard loved the Lord, his family, community and church, but most of all his grandchildren were the apple of his eye. Richard is survived by his wife, Mary Joyce Walters Puckett; children, Kevin Puckett of Calhoun, LA, Benay Knowles (Kirk) of Calhoun, LA; grandchildren, Kalisha Puckett Hilton (Brett), Kelsey Puckett of Hattiesburg, MS, Krystian Puckett of D'Ibberville, MS, Devin Knowles of Calhoun, LA, Courtney Knowles Thigpen (Josh) of Calhoun, LA; great-grandchildren, Ethan Hilton, Fox Simon, Myer Brillon, Leonora Puckett, Adalynn Knowles, Zeplynn Knowles, Piper Thigpen, J T Thigpen, Noah Thigpen; and many other cherished family and friends. Pallbearers will be Kirk Knowles, Devin Knowles, Krystian Puckett, Brett Hilton, Josh Thigpen, and Bart Hogan. Honorary pallbearers will be Donnie Burton, Bobby Gilbert, Joe Gauthier, Ronnie Fretwell, and Roy Turner.
