Richard Lynn Oakley, resident of Williston, Florida passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2023. He was 66 years old. Mr. Oakley will have military honors performed at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at 11AM. Shirley Ann Gary, 73, of Williston, Florida, was born to the late Herbert Gary and Aretha B. Lee on May 29th, 1950. Shirley accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age under the pastorage of Elder David Frison and the late Elder Willie Foster. Shirley came to be a Mother at Our Father In Heaven House of Prayer under the pastorage of Curtis L. Harris later in her fellowship. Shirley worked in the Aerospace Department at General Electric where she made batteries for NASA for 37 years. She also worked at Exactech where she retired after 10 years making prosthetics. Shirley's hobbies included, singing, baking, shopping, but most importantly spending time with her beloved family. Shirley attended Williston Vocational School where she graduated in 1968 as Ms. Williston Vocational. After graduation Shirley moved to the big city of Miami, Florida, where she worked in the Garment District for Mr. Dino's, and also met friends that turned into family. After her brief stay in Miami, Shirley moved back home to Williston in late 1972. Shirley was deeply rooted in her community as she served on the MLK committee as well as the Senior Citizens committee. Wayne Earl Sapp was born on September 4,1950 in Williston, Florida and entered through the gates of Heaven on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at 2:50pm surrounded by his loving wife of 56 years and his Children and grandchildren. Wayne was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed camping with his family as well as hunting and fishing as long as his health allowed. Wayne also participated in rodeos and played the guitar and drums. Wayne enjoyed woodworking and specialized in custom cypress rocking chairs. Wayne was a member of the Williston First Baptist Church until moving from the area in 1985. He then became a member of Calvary Baptist Church in St. Augustine Fl. serving a deacon. Mr. Sapp worked 42 years in the Timber Industry & Paper Company. He made many close friends before retiring in 2010. Wayne was preceded in death by his mother, Essie Mae Mauldin Corbin, his father, John Sherrod Sapp, and his Stepfather, Berry Corbin, his infant son Gregory Wayne Sapp and nephew James Raymond Sapp, Jr. , sister Doris Sapp Stanley and older brother James Raymond Sapp Sr. Wayne is survived by his Wife Deborah Micheletti Sapp, their children, Tracey Sapp Smith(Anthony), Bryan Kent Sapp (Nikki), Jason Lee Sapp( Katie), Thomas Wesley Sapp (Tracey), Patricia Sapp Martin(Todd). Eight Grandchildren: Grandchildren Cody Smith(Crystal), Jacob Smith (Lacey), Cole Smith( Natalie),Katie Wells-Barbour(Tyler),Lexie, Regan, Cade and Emily Sapp. Seven Great-grandchildren: Jackson, Saylor, Chloe, Raelynn, Oakley, Fynn and Greyson Smith. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at Knauff Funeral Home of Williston at 2:00PM. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. Reverend Diane Reeves will officiate. Burial will take place privately at a later date. Knauff Funeral Home of Williston is honored to serve the Sapp family during this time.Show more
