Richard Levenberg Obituary

HillsboroughRichard G. Levenberg68, died April 23, 2023. Richard was born and raised in Elizabeth, then lived in Avenel and Plainfield before moving to Hillsborough in 1988. He graduated from the University of Vermont with a BA degree in Psychology. Richard was employed as a human resources director for several companies. He was a member of Temple Beth El in Hillsborough. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking, reading, listening to music, Jane Austin, and especially spending time with his grandchildren. He was an avid sports fan for the NY Giants, NY Rangers and NY Yankees. Richard will be sadly missed by all. Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Deborah Levenberg, daughter Jessica Keim (Joseph), a son Zachary Levenberg, brother Joel Levenberg (Rachel), two grandchildren Asher and Brayden, mother-in-law Sandra, and sister in laws Judy and Mimi (Greg). Funeral services are 12pm Tuesday at Temple Beth El, Hillsborough. Interment will be held at Temple Sholom Cemetery, Bridgewater. Arrangements by Bruce C. VanArsdale Funeral Home, Somerville.
