Beloved great-grandpa of Dennis. Proud U. S. Navy Veteran. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 12th, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at C. S. Bartholomew & Son, Inc. , 302 S. Bedford Ave. , Bellmore. Funeral service 7:30pm on Tuesday, September 12th at the funeral home. Burial at Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, on Wednesday, September 13th at 11:30am.

Anthony Joseph Armada, age 77, of Merrick, NY passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 15th surrounded by the loving presence of his family. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. His smile and laughter lit up every room and his enduring kindness and compassion was felt by all. A dedicated man of faith, a full mass celebrating Anthony's life will be held at St. Barnabus Church of Bellmore, NY on Wednesday, October 18th at 11:15 am. Visitation will be held at Clair S. Bartholomew & Son, Inc. Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 17th from 2pm to 4pm and from 7pm-9pm. Born the youngest child to Francisco and Christina Armada in Brooklyn, New York on September 24th, 1946, Anthony attended high school at St. John's Preparatory and graduated with a bachelor's degree from Brooklyn College and a master's degree from New York University. He worked as a devoted educator, both as an elementary teacher and an administrator of funded programs for the New York Department of Education for over 40 years. He was a lifelong learner and teacher. He loved learning languages, traveling with his family, and spending time with all of his loved ones. Anthony is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Diana, his son Francisco and wife Marielena and their children Christian, Alex, Sofia, Isabel, and Victoria, his daughter Mercedes, his daughter Diana and her husband Nestor and their daughter Olivia, and his daughter Erica and her husband Kevin and their children Kevin and Elizabeth. He is also survived by his brother Frank, and his sisters Frances and Dolores. Anthony leaves a lifetime of beautiful memories with his family and a legacy of loving children and grandchildren, inspired by his dedication to his faith, love for his family, and kindness.Show more
