Richard W. "Rick" Erickson, 72, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, on March 26, 1951. Rick attended and graduated from Tinley Park High School. He spent many years working at different telecommunication companies, most recently working 20 years at AT&T. Beyond his dedication to his career and family, he was a music enthusiast and avid reader. Rick is survived by his wife, Catherine (Cwiak) Erickson; and son, Matthew Erickson. He was preceded in passing by his parents, Richard Harold and Ruth Selena (Stirrat) Erickson. A memorial service will be 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 15, 2023 at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 6750 Covington Road, Fort Wayne with visitation one hour prior. Nadejda "Natka" Eshcoff, passed from this life on December 6, 2023 (the feast of St. Nicholas) at the age of 97. Natka was born on July 8, 1926 in Detroit, MI. She was the daughter of Nicola Panoff and Dana Simbowa, who immigrated to the United States from Breznista, Macedonia. Natka was the oldest of three children who were born to Nick and Dana. Natka met her husband, Robert "Bobby" Eshcoff at a Macedonia Patriotic Organization (MPO) youth tournament. Both of Bobby's parents had also immigrated from Macedonia. Bobby and Natka were married on May 7,1950 at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Fort Wayne. Like many young Macedonian couples, Bobby and Naka lived with his parents during the first year of marriage. Natka gave birth to her daughter, Nancy, in 1951 and her son, Steven in 1952. For the next 20 years she worked at home caring for Bobby, Nancy, and Steve. Following the 1971 city election family friend, Dick Holmes, literally drug her downtown to work in the City Clerk's office for Charles Westerman. In 1977, she was appointed Deputy City Clerk. Natka served as Deputy City Clerk until her retirement on September 28, 2012 at the age of 86. Natka's primary role in the City Clerk's Office was assisting the Fort Wayne City Council. Her duties included attending City Council meetings on Tuesday evenings. Natka attended countless long and boring council meetings during her 40 years in the City Clerk's office. Natka was an excellent cook. You could count on her chicken with rice, and sweet potatoes along with eggplant casserole for the holidays. Patrons of Lambros Restaurant enjoyed her pita and baklava. The focus of Natka's life was her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild. They were a source of great pride and joy to her. Natka's love for them was immeasurable and she had a tremendous impact on their lives. Natka's only regrets in life were not learning how to drive and not having a middle name. She is survived by daughter, Nancy (Tom) Boyer; grandchildren, Ann (Kevin) Meyer, Dave Boyer, Emily Eshcoff, and Tim Eshcoff; great-granddaughter, Teresa Meyer; and daughter-in-law, Karen Eshcoff. Natka was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Eshcoff; son, Steven Eshcoff; brother, Thomas Panoff; and sister, Anna Zakarian. Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at St. Nicholas Cathedral, 3535 Crescent Ave. , with entry prayers beginning at 10:00 am, and calling until the service. Calling will also be from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at FairHaven Funeral and Cremation Services, 6557 N Clinton St. , with Trisagion Prayers at 7:00pm. Larry Allen Hullinger, 85, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away Thursday, December 7, 2023, at his residence. He was born on December 18, 1937, in Monroeville, Indiana to the late Wilson "Bubb" and Mary Louise "Billy" (Williams) Hullinger. Larry was united in marriage to Judith Ruble on October 6, 1958 in Coldwater, Michigan and she survives. He was employed at Norfolk and Southern Railroad for 37 years. . . and never retired. Larry was a constant hard worker. He was very humble and never thought of himself. . . he loved helping family inwhatever was needed. He was a wonderful papa, dad, and husband. He had a very special place in his life foranimals and especially his dogs. In his "spare time", he liked watching sports (IU BASKETBALL and Bobby Knight!). Larry and Judy enjoyed traveling the world together and shared many fond memories of the trips they took both together and with their family. He is survived by his wife, Judy Hullinger of Fort Wayne, Indiana; son, Toby (Bev) Hullinger of Monroeville, Indiana; daughter, Bambi Cummings Huntertown, Indiana; three grandchildren, April Hullinger, Candace (Shobi Pratap) Cummings, and Trent (Cathy) Hullinger; five great-grandchildren, Dane, Angelina, Jade, Catarina, and Tristan; sister, Nancy Maines of West Palm Beach, Florida. Larry was preceded in death by a grandson, Dane Hullinger; brother, Robert Hullinger; sister, Sandra Arnos-Inman. Donna was born in Kendallville, Indiana on October 18, 1966 to Douglas McArthur Ritchie and Evelyn (Shepherd) Ritchie Long. She graduated from Garrett High School and Ivy Tech, Fort Wayne with a nursing degree. Donna was a registered nurse and employed by Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne for more than 30 years. She married Johnny Wayne Thompson on July 19, 1992 in Kendallville. She loved her boys and her family. She was an active member of Harbor of Love Baptist Church near Kendallville where she taught Sunday school and junior church. She also loved craft making. Donna was loved by her family and many friends, and she will be greatly missed. Husband, Johnny Thompson of Avilla. Son, Gabriel Thompson of Avilla. Son, Jonathan and Kiersten Thompson of Albion. (Miller) Sprunger. She was a 1990 graduate of Eastside High School in Buter. She married Sam Vance on April 29, 1996 in Butler and he resides in Auburn. Sheryl had worked for Jackson Hewitt Tax Service in Auburn for several years preparing taxes, which she enjoyed. She also enjoyed going to church where she was a member at the Life Changing Church in Edgerton, Ohio. Sheryl was a very social and active person who enjoyed being on the go. She like going on lunch dates with friends and driving around at during the Halloween and Christmas seasons looking at the lights and house decorations. She was a wonderful and caring wife, mother, daughter and sister and spending time with her family was important to her. Survivors include: Her husband of 27 years; Sam Vance of Auburn. William H. Eagan Jr. , 88, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Saturday, December, 2, 2023 at Stillwater Hospice Home in Fort Wayne. Bill was born April 16, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois. He was a United States Army veteran. Bill was the Vice President of sales at Irving Ready Mix, Inc. for 23years and had served as President of the Indiana Ready-Mix Concrete Association and Chairman of Indiana Concrete Council. He was a member of Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Bill enjoyed traveling, reading, golfing, going to casinos and spending time with his family. He is survived by his two daughters, Patricia Beller of Raleigh, NC and Beth Anne (Scott) Gmitter of Maumee, OH; son, Todd (Elaine) Eagan of Auburn, IN; grandchildren, Kate Beller, Kevin Beller, Grant Gmitter, Gretchen Gmitter, Samantha Eagan, Olivia Eagan and Reid Eagan; great grandson, James Card; sisters-in-law, Mari Craft of Jackson, MI and Janet Kenny of Grand Rapids, MI; plus, many nieces and nephews.
