Richard Allen Cribbett of Urbana, Illinois passed away at home on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, late in the evening He was 71 years old He was born on August 10, 1952 to the proud parents of Irene Grace (Mathias) Cribbett, and George Edward Cribbett He was the 4th of 5 boys He graduated from Rantoul Township High School in 1970 He is preceded in death by his parents, his 3 older brothers Thomas, Raymond, and Dennis And his younger daughter Cristy He is survived by his wife Cynthia (Voss) Cribbett of Urbana His older daughter Teressa Cribbett of Champaign His younger brother Randy Cribbett of Forrest His 2 granddaughters Lexie Cribbett of Champaign and Mari Cribbett at home Along with lots of nieces and nephews He was an avid sports fan He enjoyed watching Illini basketball and Illinois football He enjoyed watching his favorite NFL team Green Bay Packers He enjoyed watching NASCAR and Golf He also enjoyed watching the Hallmark channel and HGTV His favorite travel spot was in Jamaica with his wife Cindy Cribbett The visitation will be held at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S Philo Rd , Urbana, IL, from 3-5PM, Friday, October 13, 2023 To to the family or in memory of Richard Allen Cribbett, please

Charles Dwight Moore Jr, 91, passed away on December 4, 2023 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, Illinois. Charles' greatest legacy was his family. He never missed an opportunity to be with his family and extended family. He never missed a softball game, baseball game, or soccer game of his children or grandchildren. He loved his family fiercely and was as comfortable playing with GI Joes or Barbie with the grandchildren,He was born on July 15, 1932 in Benton, Illinois the son of Charles & Bonnie (Shaw) Moore Sr. He married Patsy Parkhill on February 8, 1954 in Benton, IL. Charles is survived by his wife, Patsy; daughters- Katherine Johnston (Kim) of Tamms, IL, Karen Edwards of Champaign, IL; three grandchildren, Amelia K. (Michael) Rinehart, Tyler W. Johnston and Aaron C. EdwardsHe is preceded by his parents, Charles D. Moore Sr. and Bonnie (Shaw) Moore, son Kerry Alan Moore, brothers- Robert Z. Moore, Frank W. Moore & Jesse R Moore; sisters- Juanita M. Scrutchfield & Francis Rose Marie Schockley. Charles was a Yeoman Second Class in the Navy where he received the Good Conduct medal, Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal & National Defense Service Medal. He attended Southern Illinois University with a bachelor's degree in history. Charles worked over 30 years in law enforcement for both the University of Illinois and state of Illinois. He was a member of Webber Street Church of Christ & American Legion Post. Visitation will be held from 11:00 PM to 12:00 PM on Friday, December 8, 2023, at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 Philo Road, Urbana, IL 61802. A second visitation & service will be held at 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Pate Funeral Home & Crematory, 301 S. Main Street, Benton, IL 62812. Kenneth Eugene Martinie, 72, of Urbana, IL passed away on Thursday, November 30th at Bement Health Care Center, Bement, IL, and will be lovingly missed by his family and friends. Kenny was born on July 26, 1951, in Champaign, Illinois to Carol E. and Karmen J. Trick Martinie. He was the oldest of four siblings, Kevin Martinie of Antioch, IL, Debra Tiedemann of Monticello, IL, and Jane Cook of Urbana, IL, whom survive him. Also surviving are brothers Richard (Bobbie) Martinie of Boise, ID, and Tim (Cathy) Martinie of Fulton, MO; nephews Trent (Aubrey) Bowman of Decatur, IL, Glenn Martinie and Jeff (Megan) Martinie, of Kenosha, WI, niece Traci Bowman (Ryan Stenger) of Mont Belvieu, TX; great-nephews Carson Stenger of Mont Belvieu, TX, Neil, Asher, and Jaxon Martinie all of Kenosha, WI, great-niece Addisyn Bowman of Decatur, IL, and bonus great-nephews Dawson and Erick Keeling of Decatur, IL. Kenny graduated from Urbana High School, where he earned the nickname "Duck" by his good friend Rex Apperson, followed by two years of service in the U. S. Army. He went on to work as an auto mechanic in the Champaign-Urbana area, followed by several years in the drag racing circuit with various drivers, most notably Jeb Allen. He finished his career as a University of Illinois Transportation Driver, retiring in 2009 after 25+ years. He loved watching drag racing, solving Word Search puzzles, and took great pride in the garden shed he meticulously constructed in his backyard. A memorial service will be held to honor Kenny on Monday, December 11, 2023, at 11:00 a. m. at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 Philo Road, Urbana, IL. Joyce Ann Ross Elliott, 83 of Urbana, IL passed away Monday December 4, 2023 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. Joyce was born January 13, 1940 in Ft. Henry, Tennessee, the daughter of Henry and Maude (Kennerley) Ross. Joyce graduated from Lone Oak High School in 1958 and went on to attend Droans Business School in Paducah, KY. She worked for various Law offices in Paducah, KY and Champaign, IL until she went to work for The University of Illinois, College of Law. She retired after 33 years in 1998 as Director of Career Services. She came out of retirement to sell real estate in Champaign-Urbana for another 5 years. She married Larry J. Elliott on December 26, 1959 in Brookport, IL. They lived in Tacoma, WA before settling into Urbana in 1962. Joyce is survived by her husband, Larry of Urbana and children Phillip (Sharon) of Savoy, Jill Harvey (Bob) of Gold Canyon, AZ and Julie Roberts (Rod) of Omaha, NE. Grandchildren: Tyler Roberts (Tori Riggs) Milliken, CO, Ben Roberts (Hannah) Naples, FL, Andrew Roberts Omaha, NE, Taylor Harvey (George Aguayo) Fredericksburg, VA, Ross Harvey (Sarah Teglasi) Granbury, TX, Drake Elliott Savoy, IL, Brock Elliott Savoy, IL and Annie Roberts Knoxville, Tn/Omaha, NE. She was a member of Philo Road Church of Christ (formerly known as Lincoln Avenue Church of Christ), Urbana since 1962. Spent time as a volunteer for CASA. Rebecca Ziska 99, of Urbana, IL. went to be with the Lord on November 29, 2023. She was born on July 27, 1924 in Lancaster, South Carolina, the daughter of Ralph and Nannie Beckham. Becky attended Woman's College of the University of North Carolina and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill earning a master's degree in botany. During this period, she met her husband, Bill. Together they moved to Champaign to further his education at the University of Illinois. Her love of animals and nature led Becky to financially support conservation causes. She also volunteered for many years working with David Monk for prairie restoration, something she had a great passion for. She enjoyed spending time with her family and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Becky is survived by her daughters; Veronica (Champ) Walker, Bonita (Tim) Millikan, son; W. Byron Ziska, grandchildren; Christopher (Annie) Walker, Eric Walker, Stephanie (Mike) Slade, Jacob Ziska, great grandchildren; Ruthie Walker and Elijah Slade. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister; Hazel Kimrey, husband; G. William Ziska Jr. , and children; W. Anthony Ziska and Michelle Ziska.
