Rachel Mae West was born on July 26. 1934 in Wavnesboro, MS, the third child to be born to the Late Lille. M. and Henry West. At an early age she united with the Chapel Hill Baptist Church. She afteded Waynesboro Vocational School and later went to Mary Holmes College. She was a teacher with the Friends of Children of Mississippi, where she retired. She was a Eastern Star - Estella Chapter 171, OE5 She was mother of five children. Two proceeded her in death: Martha Jean Morgan Chambers and Linda Morgan Banks. On Friday morning, November 17, 2023 at Wayne General Hospital, Waynesboro, MS. The Lord called home the spirit of Rachel M. West, away to a land that is free of all sickness, suffering, pain and death. She was the only girl of five children. Four Brothers: three proceeded her in death: Henry Allen West, Nathenial West and John Douglas west. She leaves to morn her death and cherish her memories: One Daughter, Paula Johnson, who was her care giver; Two Sons: Allen Lewis Morgan and Timothy Ray Morgan. She raised Two Grandsons: Ray Banks and Robert Morgan. 18 precious Grand Children and 25 Great Grandchildren, that she loved. One Sister-in-law: Mildred West, Waynesboro, MS. Mary Dorothy (McCarty) Cook was born June 21, 1949, in Shubuta Mississippi. She was the ninth child born to Phera and Alma (Gilmore) McCarty. At age five, Mary's family moved to the Altair Community. She atfended Wayne County School District and graduated non Riverview High School in 1967. Mary briefly attended a business college in Meridian Mississippi before starting her employment with Northern Electric (later Sunbeam) in 1968, and worked there until her retirement. On December 20, 1970, she married James Cagney Cook. From this marriage two sons were born; James Carlos Cook (Kori) and Joe Christopher Cook (Shari). Mary was a dedicated wife and mother who loved her family dearly. She was such a loving, kind, and giving person. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, and watching television. Mary is survived by two sons, James Carlos Cook and Joe Christopher Cook; five grandchildren; Tamia Shydai Cook, Joe Christopher Cook II, James Carlos Cook II, Jake Cameron Cook, and Jayden Cole Cook; three nephews, Jackie McDonald, Kenneth McDonald and Gerald McDonald, and several cousins and friends. He was born in Clarke County, MS on Thursday, July 13, 1939 to John Edgar Roberts and Laura Smith Roberts. He was a member of Victory Grove Church. He was retired from T. K. Stanley Inc. as a Mill Superintendent. Mr. Willie is preceded in death by his father, John Edgar Roberts and mother, Laura Roberts; brother, Roberts Cecil; grandsons, Justin Roberts, A. J. Winstead; and granddaughter, Peyton Palmer. Shanda was born on November 13, 1971, in Detroit, Michigan to Mable Goree-Combs and Fredrick Combs Sr. She attended Longfellow Middle School, graduated from Murray Wright High School, and studied business at Davenport University. Shanda's life story was truly extraordinary. From a young age, her remarkable talent and unwavering determination led her to achieve remarkable milestones, including obtaining her cosmetology license. She excelled as an award-winning nail artist, showcasing her passion for beauty through meticulous artistry. This early success became a defining element of her identity. As the vears passed, Shanda's boundless enthusiasm and curiosity led her to embrace holistic living. She delved into the intricate nuances of holistic well-being, exploring the harmonious relationship between mind, body, and spirit. Her commitment to this holistic approach was unwavering, and she generously shared her wealth of knowledge with her loved ones. Shanda's family and friends benefited not only from her wisdom but also from her warm and nurturing spirit. In the later stages of her life, Shanda embarked on a spiritual journey that would forever transform her perspective. She also leaves behind cherished cousins Angela and Daimonae, God sisters Candace, Kira, and Janae; and close friends Shanice, Rhonda, Shana, and Cynthia. Shanda took on the role of Godmother to Gerald and had numerous other family members and friends who held her dear. Sadly, she was preceded in death by her parents Mable and Fredrick, as well as her younger cousin Dean. Shanda's absence leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew her, and she wil be greatly missed, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth. Melinda (MeMe) Kay Gray was born to Robert William Gray and Sadie Pearl (Nobles) Gray on 21 February 1971, in Waynesboro, MS and her earthly journey climaxed 9 November 2023, in Meridian, MS. Early in life, she joined the Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, later confessed Christ, and served as an usher. Melinda is a 1989 graduate of Waynesboro Central High School. She received an Associate of Arts Degree in Accounting from Jones County Junior College May 2011, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business / Accounting from William Carey May 2015, and her Master of Business Administration / Finance Degree from Columbia Southern University October 2018. She also received her Indoor Cycling Instructor Certification in April 2019. She worked as a Loan Specialist with the United States Small Business Administration. Though she had many interests, baking was her passion which lead to her starting the business "Heavenly Treats". She enjoyed teaching cycling classes during her time in Irving, TX. MeLinda also enjoyed spending time with family and friends and meeting new people and helping people. She was undoubtedly the favorite aunt and absolutely adored all her nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her father, and a sister (Alice R. McDougle). MeLinda leaves to cherish her special and loving memories, her mother Sadie P. Earl "Mitch" McBeath was born March 26, 1937 to Milton and Jessie McBeath in Carthage, Mississippi. He has lived in the Moss point Community for over 50 years. Earl was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was employed with Ingalls shipbuilding for over 32 years as a Shipfitter and retired in 1998. Earl attended Jackson State University where he was member of the basketball Team. Earl loved fishing and was a member of the Moss Point Bass Club. He was also a big fan of football and basketball sticking by the same teams for many years; The Boston Celtics and Dallas Cowboys. Earl was an active member of the Masonic Order Pride of Pascagoula for over 40 ears. He loved church! He never missed a Sunday morning when he was able to physically attend and recently ensured his family tuned into YouTube to hear "Hawkins" as he affectionally called his Pastor. Earl was a faithful and dedicated member of Union Baptist Church until his health began to fail. He was preceded in death by his lovely wife Betty McBeath, his parents Milton and Jessie McBeath, mother and father-in-law Jessie and Ezell Luckett, Brothers; Ollie Ray and Ollie Jay McBeath, sister, Betty Ruth Ferrell, sister-in laws, Cora Earnest, Gloria Daniels and Hattie McBeath Brother in laws, Hershel "Pete" Earnest Sr. , and Jerome Keeton.
