Obituary of Richard Bates Richard B. Bates, age 96, of Royal Palm Beach, Florida passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2019. Mr. Bates was born in Camden, New Jersey on February 15, 1922. He was predeceased by his wife, Hazel L. Stamo and son, Steven Allen Bates. Mr. Bates is survived by sons, Richard Arthur (Terry) Bates, Elliott J. (Theresa) Bates and Michael S. Bates; six grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; 2 great great grandchildren; sisters, Norma Strickbine and Thelma Louise (Robert) Jenkins; nieces, Norma Bradford, Marie Torelli and Cynthia Torelli; nephew, Trey Jenkins. A funeral service will take place on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home, 388 Broadway, Monticello, NY 12701. A time will be announced.
