"Richard ("Dick") Daniel Albrecht, 89, of Rogers, AR passed away on April 13, 2023. Dick was born to Ruth and Ernest Albrecht on September 17, 1933 in New York City. He was raised with his brother Al, and sister Jean in the city. Dick joined the Army and served one tour of duty in Japan after the Korean War. After his honorable discharge, Dick moved to Ohio where he graduated from Ohio State University on the GI Bill with a degree in Petroleum Engineering. While at Ohio State, he met his future bride, Pauline Welling. Dick and Pauline were married in 1962 In Columbus, Ohio. After graduating from Ohio State, Dick went to work for Chevron in 1961, where he spent his entire career. His and Pauline's first home was Taft, California. While in Taft, they had two sons: Robert (Bob) born in 1963 and John born in 1967. Dick was an adventurer and when asked to move his young family to Indonesia to work, they packed up and moved across the world. After 4 years, Dick was asked to move again, so off to Saudi Arabia the family went. After 4 years there, he moved the family stateside to Houston, TX. From Houston, Dick and Pauline moved to New Orleans, then to Denver where they ultimately retired. 4 years ago, Dick moved for the last time to Rogers, AR to live near his son Bob's family. Dick was an accomplished fly fisherman, he loved to play golf, and enjoyed traveling the world with his family. He enjoyed watching any kind of sports and especially loved watching his Ohio State Buckeyes. Dick is survived by his wife, Pauline Albrecht of Rogers, AR, Robert ('Bob') Albrecht, his wife Kristi (of Rogers, AR) and their sons, Foster, and Campbell, both of Rogers, AR, John Albrecht and his wife Jennifer (of Sheridan, WY). There will be graveside service with honor guard at Fayetteville National Cemetery on April 27 at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, we encourage to you donate to ReelRecovery. org. in Dick's honor. "
