Reva Bell Obituary

"Reva Joyce Bell, 83, of Bedford passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 11, 1939, in Harrodsburg, Indiana, to Lone "Dick" and Della (Crum) Elkins. Reva attended Smithville High School. On August 29, 1959, she married Dale Bell. Their love story began after a football game when she and her best friend, Judy (Laughmiller) Berry, were up on the square in Bloomington, and Dale drove by in his 1958 Chevy Impala. Reva was deeply loved by her husband, Dale, five children, eight grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Reva cherished being surrounded by her family for lunch every Sunday after church at Harrodsburg Church of Christ, where she was a member. Faith and family were the most important things to Reva. She is survived by her devoted husband, Dale; daughter, Jill Lowry and her sons, Kirk (Jessica, Kaylin, Hadley), and Chance (Andee, Dax, Bodie); daughter, Tamara Knapp (Rob) and her sons, Tyler (Chelsea), and Austin; daughter, Lisa Woods (Troy); son, Brad Bell (Lisa) and his daughter, MacKenzie, and son, Dawson; daughter, Holly Ginter (Jamie) and her son, Nolan, and daughter, Presley. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first daughter, Dalene; brother Hollis (Leora) Elkins; and brother-in-law, Don (Cosette) Bell. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 28, 2023, at 2 PM at the Harrodsburg Church of Christ with her brother in Christ, Walter Hunter, officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 10 AM - 2 PM prior to the service. Burial will follow at Clover Hill Cemetery in Harrodsburg.
