Reubelou Meyrick Obituary

"Mrs. Reubelou Caldwell Gear Meyrick, age 95, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2023, in Allen, Texas. She was born to Mr. Reuben W. Caldwell and Mrs. Ita Lou Caldwell on December 3, 1927, in Dallas, Texas. She retired from Dallas ISD in 1997 after having worked as the librarian at W. H. Gaston Jr. High. She enjoyed quilting circles at the First United Methodist Church in Joshua, Texas. She also enjoyed playing the piano and doing jigsaw puzzles. She loved to travel and had traveled to all fifty states, Europe, Canada, and Mexico. She was married to Gerald W. Gear for 45 years until his death. Years later, she married James Meyrick. That marriage lasted for 10 years until his death. She is survived by her three children, Elizabeth Gear, Dallas, Texas; Charles Steven Gear, Dallas, Texas; and Patricia Gear, McKinney, Texas. She had one sister, Carrie Beth Caldwell Gray, who preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her infant son, Wayne Gear. Her funeral service will be on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at 2:00 p. m. at the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home in Richardson, Texas, with the graveside service to follow at 3:00 p. m"
