Therese Wilson
Age - 92
November 29, 2023
Therese Ann Wilson, 92, a proud Irish woman, went to be with The Lord and her mom, that she missed terribly, on November 27, 2023. Preceded in death by her parents, Catherine "Cassie" and Eugene Keane, husband, William Wilson, her brothers, John and Tom Keane, her sisters, Mary Keane and Elizabeth Huff, and her granddaughter, Tara. She was surrounded and cared for by her children and their spouses: her sons, Jerry "Dale" Wilson (Carol), Harry "Gene" Wilson (Nancy), and daughter, Catherine "Cassie" Campa (Tony). She is survived by her grandchildren, Crystal, Bryan, Patrick and Mason and great-grandchildren, Logan, Darrin, Nevada and Sevin, two great-great-grandchildren and tons of nieces and nephews that she loved. She is also survived by her best friend of fifty years, Lorraine McElroy, to whom we are eternally grateful for the love and friendship she shared with our mom. She is also survived by her faithful, four-legged companion, Billy. We know he is higher on the list than her kids, but we wanted to be listed first. Her childhood wasn't easy. Her mom was very sick and she lost her dad at a very young age. After her father's death, her mom brought them all out to Tucson to start over and she lived here for eighty years. She was a proud cashier in a grocer store for twenty-five years. She would tell you that she made many real estate deals at that register and even "bought a kid" at her check stand. Prior to that, she was a waitress and at one point, even owned her own restaurant. She was even-tempered, level-headed and smart. She had a knack for real estate, buying stocks and staying in tune to anything political. Her life was filled with challenges, but she didn't complain and faced them all head on. She never made excuses for anything and just found a way to get through it, whatever it was. She was sweet, kind and a proper lady. She practiced her faith always and never missed an opportunity to help someone, even when no one was watching. We believe our mom is the strongest woman we have ever known. She was always loving, gave sound advice and was always available when we needed her. She never let any of us down, ever. Special thank you to Msgr Tom Cahalane, who mom felt so much love for and just the sight of him always gave her comfort. Visitation will be Monday, December 4, 2023, from 5:00-6:00 pm, with a rosary from 6:00-7:00 pm, at Bring's Broadway Chapel, 6910 E Broadway Boulevard. Funeral mass will be at 11:00 am at Our Mother of Sorrows Church, at 1800 S Kolb Road. Immediately after the mass will be interment at Our Lady of the Desert Cemetery, at 2151 S Avenida Los Reyes, then a small reception at her son Harry's house, where everyone is welcome. We will serve coffee and sweets, because even when she was "full", she never turned down a sweet.Show more
