Mary Virginia Dishman passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 25 th, one month shy of her 90 th Birthday. Her daughter was at her side. Mary, affectionately known as (Mooey) was born in Bloomington Springs, TN. She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Dishman, Hendersonville, TN. , Brother, Ben Skimmiehorn, Bloomington Springs, TN, and Brother-in-law Letcher Dishman (Brenda)and many nieces and nephews. On January 11, 1948, she was buried with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in baptism at the Baxter Church of Christ. Mary married Roy Estes Dishman on September 20, 1950. In 1954 they welcomed their daughter, Pamela Regina Dishman. It was devastating for Mary and Pam when Roy passed away unexpectedly on November 20, 1996. Mary's career included working for Washington Manufacturing and Opryland Hotel. She was the first female promoted to supervise the Cutting Room Department at Washington Manufacturing. When Washington Manufacturing closed, Mary applied for a position at Opryland Hotel. Within months she was promoted into a supervisory position. For many years, Mary was an avid gardener. She grew tomatoes, okra, squash and flowers. Many weekends involved canning and freezing for the winter. Mary had a tender heart for others. She was creative behind the scenes when helping others yet remained anonymous and never revealed her identity. After retiring, Mary was introduced to a new world. Having no exposure to Disney World, she was fascinated by the sight of this magical place. Watching her turn into a child, as she rode the "Dumbo" ride with her Great Goddaughter was so touching and a memory that her daughter will never forget. Mary was blessed with kind and supportive people in her life. The family would like to acknowledge the following individuals. Jean S. Collette was born January 21st 1944, and passed away November 28th 2023. She was a native of Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin and resided in Antioch, Tennessee. She retired from Checkprinters Corporation. Jean is preceded in death by her husband Sam Donald Collette; parents George Schepp and Lucille Staley; brothers Richard Schepp, Robert Schepp, Allan Schepp, Lawrence Schepp; and a grandson, Joseph Collette Jr. She is survived by sister Joan Beard of Wisconsin; daughter, Donna Collete-Mabry and son-in-law Billy Mabry of Nashville; son, Joseph Collette and daughter-in-law Mistye Collette of Woodbury, Tennessee. She is also survived by grandchildren, Dillan Collette, Damon Collette, Jeffrey Wheeler II, Hayden Mabry, Devin Mabry, Travis Mabry, and Kermit Peebles; Great Grandchildren, Sophia Wheeler, Jeffrey Wheeler III, Drinix Peebles, Drayden Peebles, Briette Peebles, Norah Collette, Larissa Collette, Brantley Abel Mabry, Emma Mabry, and Tommy Collette; as well as many nieces and nephews. Jean Collette loved the Holidays with family the most. She enjoyed listening to music by Elvis Presley and Gospel Music by Jimmy Fortune. She was raised Catholic but enjoyed any denomination that loved and preached the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Her favorite scriptures were the 23rd Psalm and our Lord's Prayer from Matthew's Gospel. She loved her children, grandchildren, and her great grandchildren dearly. She loved the pets she had in the home but especially "Batman", the cat. She loved working puzzles on her computer. She loved good BBQ, Cheese Curds from Wisconsin, and ANY chocolate she could get her hands on. She loved to travel. She loved the Golden Girls and The Andy Griffith Show.
