Regina Corbell Obituary

'I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race. I have kept the faith. ' Regina Claire Tooley Corbell went to heaven on October 20, 2022 following a lengthy illness. She was residing at a residential care facility in Plano, Texas. Regina was joyfully received by her parents Helen and Mike Tooley, her sister and brother-in-law, Rita and Zeke Riffe, and her devoted husband, Wayman Corbell. Regina was born in Elmira, New York on November 6, 1927. She lived her younger years in her beloved upstate New York before attending Syracuse University in 1945. Upon her leaving New York, Regina went to live with her sister, Rita, in Florida. It was there that she fell in love with a handsome Officer in the United States Air Force and they were married a short time later on November 14, 1953. Regina and Wayman began their adventure in Lovington, New Mexico where their first child, Scott, was born in 1957. They then moved to Midland, Texas and welcomed two more children, Robin and Allison. They were proud members of St. Ann's Catholic Church, where the kids attended school. Wayman's job took them to Electra, Texas and then back to west Texas to Odessa. They retired in Midland and enjoyed over 20 years together. Regina was an active member of St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Midland. Regina is survived by one son, Scott Corbell, and a daughter, Allison Corbell. She is also survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Jim Compton, her grandson, Christopher Compton, his wife, Kendall, and children Lillian and Ford. Regina will be remembered as an incredible Mother, a loving wife, a precious sister, a wonderfully sweet Grandmother and a loyal friend. She always prayed for those she loved! May Regina's memory be a blessing to all who loved her. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on October 10, 2023 at Resthaven Cemetery in Midland TX.
