TributeRaymond Marion Weeks of Montgomery, IL passed away peacefully with his family at his bedside on June 19, 2022. He was born August 28, 1932 in Aurora, IL to Marion Raymond and Gwendolyn (Galloway) Weeks. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Thelma (Ohrt) Weeks; daughters, Gwen (Gene) Carlson and Carrie (Tim) Collins; grandchildren, Gregory (Sarah) Young, Matthew Carlson, Joshua (Mindy) Chrestman, and Kelsey(Jeff) Ziemnik ;great-grandchildren Alexis, Dylan, Brody and Jace Young, Macey and Tucker Chrestmen, Kyla and Connor Ziemnik; siblings, Sally M. Steward, Darlene (Ray) Harvey and Brian(Julie) Weeks. He was preceded in death by daughter, Wanda K. ; his parents; siblings Donald F. , Robert F. , Gilbert A. , Ronald, William, and Gregory A. He proudly served his country in the US Army stationed in Korea. He has been a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Montgomery, IL for 60 plus years, where he lovingly served his Lord by holding many different offices and many different roles within the church. Ray was a Certified Public Accountant, he had his own business in his home where he prepared income tax returns for hundreds in the area. He was highly praised in both of these roles. He enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends and was an avid bowler winning multiple trophies. Ray will truly be missed. Family will be receiving guests on Sunday, June 26, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave. Montgomery, IL 60538. Funeral Services will be on Monday, June 27, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 63 Fernwood Rd. Montgomery, IL 60538. Burial will follow at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Montgomery, IL.
