Richard "The Arc" Arcand passed away at home after a long illness on Feb 28, 2024. Richard was born Dec 11, 1949 in Lawrence, MA and was the son of the late, Edmond and Mary (Robichaud) Arcand. He was the 9th child of four brothers and six sisters. He was raised and educated in Lawrence. He attended St. Patrick's Grammar School, Lawrence High School, and attended Berkley School of music. Richard was an accomplished guitarist and played in the local band "Here They Are". They were the winners of "The battle of The Bands "at the Frost Arena in 1966. He later went on to play in the band "Hombre", which was the house band at the Frolics in Salisbury Beach as well as The Five O'Clock Club. He was one of five musically talented brothers and six sisters. Richard enjoyed writing music as well as playing and collecting Guitars. He also loved fishing, going to Florida, as well as cars and antiques. Richard was predeceased by his mother and father as well as his sisters Lillian Levesque and Nancy Terrio. He is survived by sisters Juliana Zalanskas of Londonderry, NH, Mae and Bill Kalil of Murrells Inlet, S.C., Rosanna and Gerry Jardin of Dracut, MA., Celia Monty of Lawrence, MA. His brothers, Edmund and Deborah of Wakefield, NH, Billy and Susan of Palm Bay, FL., Peter and Sharon and Tom and Rhoda of Methuen, MA. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and beloved friends, and Musicians also survive him. Calling hours are Wednesday, March 6, 2024 from 12 – 2 PM at Dewhirst Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home at 2:00 PM. Mary M. McGrath, 93, of Methuen, MA, peacefully passed away on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at High Pointe House, surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 19, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Mary (Catalano) Jannetti. Born in Cambridge, MA, Mary moved to the Merrimack Valley area at a young age. After high school she began her career as a seamstress at William Barrys, and later in life working at Paul Sullivan Sportswear and Busy Bee Tailoring. She was very talented and enjoyed many different arts and crafts. Mary loved to draw, paint, crochet, and used her skills to hem her children’s clothing. She enjoyed bingo and cherished spending time with her family. Mary is pre-deceased by two of her husbands, Joseph Malley and Alfred McGrath. She is also pre-deceased by her beloved daughter, Theresa A. Randall; her special companion, Frank Keyes; and her siblings, Carl Jannetti and Ann Palermo. Mary will be dearly missed and is survived by her loving children, William Malley and his wife Jill Potter, Mary Ellen Beeley and her husband William, Carleen Fleming and her husband Jeffrey; step-children, Mary Clarke and her husband Patrick, and Frank Keyes. She is also survived by her beloved sister, Ann Shirley Jannetti,; her special niece, Mary Ann Maranto and her husband James; as well as her 11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, March 7, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street, Methuen. A funeral mass will take place on Friday, March 8, 2024, at 11:00 AM at St. Lucy Parish, 254 Merrimack Street, Methuen. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.

It is with great sadness that the family of Claire J. Fraser (McCullough), of Methuen, announced her peaceful passing on February 21, 2024, at the age of 88.She was surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 2, 1935, in Chelsea, Massachusetts, Claire was the daughter of George and Josephine McCullough. She was a loving sister to Mary Prenney and the late James McCullough. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all. Claire’s life was a testament to her love of family. She shared 53 years married to the love her life, Dickie. Mother of the late Donna Gail DeSousa, George and his wife Beth of Burlington, Linda Stehm and her husband Dan of Methuen, and Cheryl Fraser and partner Stephen Trainito of Manchester. Claire’s family continued to grow, with her grandchildren - Daniel and Michelle Stehm, Michael, George and Megan Fraser, and Ed and Kristine DeSousa, along with 13 great- grandchildren. Claire also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, and great friends. She loved her family and friends unconditionally, and had no favorites. There are no calling hours. Muriel H. Kuehn – Methuen, MA Muriel H. Kuehn (98) of Methuen passed away peacefully on February 26, 2024. Muriel was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts on October 30, 1925, the daughter of the late Charles J. Goller and Hattie I. (Bushold) Goller. Muriel lived in Methuen, MA the past 67 years but grew up in Lawrence, MA where she was a Girl Scout in Troop 35 and a member of the gymnastic team at the Lawrence Turn Verein. She graduated from Lawrence High School in 1943 and went to McIntosh School, graduated, and worked as a bookkeeper in the comptroller’s office at the Lawrence General Hospital. After her marriage in1951, she was a homemaker and stay-at-home mom. Muriel was a member of both the former Christ Presbyterian Church and then The United Presbyterian Church until their closures. She then attended The Christian Fellowship Church of the Merrimack Valley in Methuen. She was an avid reader, card player and a big fan of the Brady Era New England Patriots. Muriel’s happiest times were those spent with her family and spending every summer since 1926 at “camp” on Little Island Pond in Pelham, NH. Ever a true matriarch, Muriel loved and worried about her family and always put their concerns before hers. She will be deeply missed. Muriel was predeceased by her husband, Frederick R. Kuehn, who referred to her as “the love of my life.” She leaves a daughter, Krista Bajor and her husband, Peter; a son Jeffrey Kuehn and his fiancée, Phuong Tran; three grandchildren: Sarah Oldfield and her husband, Brad; Eric Bajor and his wife, Brittany; and Jeffrey Bajor and his girlfriend, Courtney Cole. She also leaves a great grandson, Benjamin Bajor. Muriel is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Dorothy L. Ramm and a brother, Charles M. Goller. Muriel’s wish was not to have calling hours. She wanted her family and friends to remember her as they knew her. Services and burial will be private. "Sheila (O’Leary) Kennedy passed away on February 18, 2024. The daughter of Julia (Milmore) and William O’Leary, she graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Lawrence and went on to receive her bachelor\u0027s degree in education from University of Lowell. She also earned a master’s degree and completed additional studies at Salem State. After teaching middle school students in Connecticut and California, she ventured abroad to teach in Frankfurt, Germany, and Caracas, Venezuela. She then returned to Massachusetts to teach in Andover and North Andover. Sheila had a fierce, independent spirit and loved adventure of all sorts. She loved to travel and always stayed physically active. Anyone who knew her also knows how much she loved to read. Whether at the beach or curled up on the couch, you could bet she had her nose in a book. Sheila is predeceased by her husband, William F. Kennedy, and sister, Marilyn (O’Leary) Kenney. She is survived by her son, William J. Kennedy, and his wife, Shelley Phelps; her daughter, Kathleen Kennedy, and her husband, David Goodman; grandchildren Tyler Goodman and Zoe Goodman; her sister, Claire (O’Leary) Graham; and many nieces and nephews. She worked many years, and various roles in the manufacturing industry until her retirement in 2002. She was a member of the St. Lucy Parish in Methuen. Marcia loved shopping, watching TV, reading, and spending time with her family. "June M. (Rancourt) Godin, 96, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 10th, at Henry C. Nevins Home in Methuen. Born on August 28th, 1927, in Woburn, Massachusetts, June was the beloved daughter of the late Arthur and Leah (LaRochelle) Rancourt. She moved to Methuen as a young girl and made it her cherished home throughout her life. June was preceded in death by her devoted husband Robert G. Godin, and her eldest son, Robert H. Godin. June and Bob would’ve celebrated their 76th anniversary this upcoming April. She is survived by her loving children: Diane M. Macy and her husband, Phillip of North Andover, Carol E. Fiorante and her husband, Joseph of Methuen, and David M. Godin of Hawaii. She leaves a legacy of love and devotion to her grandchildren: Joseph Fiorante and his wife, Briana of Methuen, Stephanie Fiorante of Methuen, Lowell Godin of Hawaii, and Matthew Macy and his partner, Meghan Beckett of Medford. Her grandchildren will forever cherish the memories of staying over at Mimi\u0027s and enjoying her homemade crepes. June is also survived by her three great-grandsons, Joseph, Michael, and Gennaro. June was an active member of the St. Claire League, Nevins Memorial Library Book Club, and the Senior Center of Methuen. She found joy in spending time with her family, watching sports, enjoying her lobster rolls at the Clam Box, playing the piano, beating everyone at 45\u0027s, and immersing herself in her books.
