Raquel Figeroa Hernandez, 83 of Bensenville, IL passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on October 7, 2023. Raquel was born in Michoacan, Mexico on November 13, 1939, daughter to the late Antonio and Petra Figueroa. She was the warrior of the family. Raquel was very family oriented and cared for her family deeply. Her strength and love were admirable. She was an amazing mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Raquel will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her. Raquel is survived by her dearest children: Maria (Raul) Sanchez, Leticia (Jesus) Medina, Jose Luis (Norma Ocampo) Sanchez, Antonio (Carmen) Sanchez, Raquel (Pablo) Sanchez, Guadalupe (Hermino Perez) Sanchez, Sandra (Doro) Nunez and Alberto (Sylvia Solado) Sanchez; Loving grandchildren: Mariana Diaz, Erica (Alberto) Hernandez, Sara (Dan) Galfi, Jesus Medina, Gus (Vanessa) Medina, Gabriella (Ramon) Munoz, Lidia Mercardo, Karla (David), Mercardo, Jennifer Sanchez, Jerry (Rachel) Sanchez, Alma Sanchez, Diana Sanchez, Eduardo Sanchez, Raquel Gomez, Sergio Israel Gomez, Julio Cesar (Maria) Gomez, Rodolfo Torres, Kevin Perez, Michael Perez, Anthony Carrion, Eric Carrion, Tiara Sanchez and America Sanchez; Adored great grandchildren: Ramon Munoz, Ivan Diaz, Julie Perez, Elijah Zucker, Emily Hernandez, Giuiviny Hernandez, Ben Galfi, Alex Galfi, Sophia Galfi, Angel Medina, Julian Medina, Victoria Medina, Jeremiah Sanchez, Bella Sanchez, Vida Sophia Gomez, Christian Sanchez, Tiffany Sanchez and Alexander Sanchez. Alog with many other loving family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Jesus Sanchez. A Memorial Visitation and service will be held at a later date. Edward Frank Dobry, 86, of Bensenville, Illinois passed away on November 28, 2023. He was born on July 28, 1937 to his late parents George Albert Dobry and Rose Castanzo in Chicago, Illinois. Edward, a proud Army Veteran, was a man of many occupations, having spent the majority of his life as an electrician. Edward was retired from Sloan Valve, but kept himself active by working until his passing. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jennie Dobry (nee Sandoval) of 33 years. HIs loving children: James Solorio and Kathleen Dobry Knighton. Along with his many cherished grandchildren and many dear great-grandchildren. Edward will be remembered as a wonderful uncle to his many nieces and nephews. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Edward is preceded in death by his parents: George Albert Dobry and Rose Castanzo, his stepfather, John Lund, his dear son: Mark Solorio. His beloved siblings: Rosemary Vanderbausch, Betty McDermott, and George Albert Dobry. Marjorie Groover

Marjorie L. Groover, 78, of Lake in the Hills, formerly of Ocala, Florida and Bensenville, Illinois, died peacefully on November 11, 2023. Marjorie was born in Atlanta, Georgia on August 3, 1945, to parents Marion and Carolyn (nee Howe) Groover. She reconnected with high school friend Bill Sheridan, and the couple was together for over twenty years until his death in 2014. She spent many years in Bensenville, Illinois where she raised her two boys, before moving with Bill to Florida. She loved the warm weather, and she and her friends traveled all over the world together. She was free spirit who loved to socialize with her friends, as well as curl up with a good book and a crossword puzzle. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her. Marjorie is survived by her sons, Todd (Janice) Colton and Judd (Colleen) Colton, her grandchildren, Tyler, Zach, Carlene, and Gage, and her sister, Sue (Ken) Patt. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill Sheridan. Cremation was private at DeFiore Funeral Home.Show more

Stanislaw Morzy passed away on November 4th, 2023, in Elmhurst Illinois. He is survived by his wife Danuta and their adult children Robert and Waldemar Morzy. Born on August 8th, 1929, native to Poland. He has since then become a long-time resident of 58 years to Wood Dale Illinois. A visitation will be held at Geils Funeral Home of Wood Dale on November 10th, 2023, from 4pm-8pm with a prayer service being held ay 5:30pm that evening. A final viewing will be held the following morning Saturday 11/11/2023 at 9:30am. The funeral mass will follow and be held at Holy Ghost church in Wood Dale at 11:00am. Dionysios Papafotopoulos, 91, of Bensenville, IL, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on October 27, 2023. He was born to the late Antonios and late Lemonia (nee Hatzis) Papafotopoulos on February 6, 1932 in Makrissia, Greece. Dionysios had a strong devotion to his church, serving as a choir member as well as a chanter. He was happily married for 57 years to his beloved wife Sophia (nee Botes). Upon his retirement from Western Electric/AT&T, Dionysios transitioned into an amazing Papou to his four grandchildren, enjoying every moment he was able to spend with them as they blossomed from infants into young adults. He was an avid gardener and loved his flowers and vegetables. When the opportunity came up, one could find him on the dance floor, showing off his authentic Greek dance moves, the Tsamiko being his favorite. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Dionysios is survived by his devoted wife: Sophia Papafotopoulos; loving children: Eileen (John) Szubert, Nick (Tiffany) Papafotopoulos; adored grandchildren Madeline (Zachary) Roth, Sophia Szubert, Dennis Papafotopoulos and Matina Papafotopoulos. Along with many nieces, nephews, family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his siblings: Fotios Papafotopoulos and Haralambia Mihalopoulos and parents: Antonios and Lemonia Papafotopoulos. Joanne's love of family, faith and her beautiful smile are the gifts that she shared with us that will live onin all that knew her.
