LIFE REFLECTIONS OFMR. RANDY STEWART Randy attended the public school systems in the Madison and Venice School Districts and some public education in California. After graduation, he enlisted in the Marines where he achieved E4 Corporal status and Battalion Guide Leader before earning an honorable discharge. After the Marines, Randy attended two years of college before enlisting in the Army where he achieved E5 Sergeant status during 6 years of additional Armed Services. In civilian life, Randy worked for 15 years with Midwestern Drum Company achieving Lead Supervisor before the business closed. He later moved to Mound City and worked several years for Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois as a Maintenance Supervisor before returning to the area to become a devoted caregiver to an ailing family member. Randy loved his family and many friends along with cooking and watching news and sports. He was a Golden State Warriors fan, had a heart of gold and would help anyone in need if he could. "Cat Daddy" was the life of the party and always kept his family and friends laughing. Randy Stewart departed this life Tuesday, June 14, 2022 after a brief illness. To cherish his memory, he leaves: a daughter and a host of special siblings, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and close friends.
