Randy Mcallister Obituary

Randy J. McAllister, 65-year-old resident of Choctaw, Oklahoma, passed away on September 7, 2023, at Oklahoma Children's Hospital Heart Center. He was born on February 5, 1958, on Wheelus Air Force Base in Tripoli, Libya; he was the son of Robert Erwin and Betty Lou Gruenke McAllister. Mr. McAllister had been a resident of Choctaw, Oklahoma since 1983 and was a former resident of Midwest City, Oklahoma where he graduated from Carl Albert High School. He was a member of the Church of Christ and raised a faithful family. He retired as a CNC Machinist from Chromalloy Oklahoma after 37 years. He cherished his family and enjoyed fishing with his children and grandchildren, birdwatching, picking wild black berries, and gardening. Randy was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Robert McAllister, his grandparents Clyde and Della Wright. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Kathy McAllister; his children, Brad and wife Emily McAllister of Choctaw, Oklahoma, Joey and wife Lacey McAllister of Newkirk, Oklahoma, Andy and wife Kristi McAllister of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Kaitlin and husband Brett Thomas of Caldwell, Kansas; 8 grandchildren; his sisters, Carolyn Young of Swansea, Illinois, Linda and husband David Meadows of Moore, Oklahoma, and Kathryn McAllister of Bellingham, Washington. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a. m. on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at the Choctaw Church of Christ with David Brassfield officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Choctaw, Oklahoma. In leu of flowers, donations can be made out to the American Heart Association.
