Mary Ann Hall - loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, faithful friend, and impassioned educator taught her final lesson in life on February 29, 2024 at the age of 74. Mary lost her battle with cancer on her terms with her two greatest loves, Lorrie and Rob,at her side. Mary was an extraordinary woman and those who knew her, knew her greatness. She would never see herself as exceptional, but her family, friends, and a multitude of students can attest that she was. She genuinely sought to bring out the best in all she touched. She never took pride in her success but was always prideful of seeing her students and family succeed. She truly was a beautiful soul. Mary was born an educator. She taught in the Catholic community for over 50 years with her longest term held with Trinity High school. If she wasn’t at home with family or watching her Fox News, you could find her at Trinity. Her main calling in life was to help those with learning differences succeed and countless did with her magic touch. Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Margaret (Kahafer) and Reese Hall, and her siblings Vickie and John Hall. She is survived by her daughter Lorrie (Joe) Salcedo, son Robert (Michelle) Staley, grandchildren Brittany (Ray) Stovall, Brandon (Taylor) Clark, Medley and Jasper Staley, Gabe and Julius Salcedo, and great-granddaughter River Clark, her sisters Sandy (Gary) Ramey and Jennifer (Mike) McCleve, brother Reese (Theresa) Hall, her Trinity family, and a host of nieces and nephews. A visitation for Mary will be held Tuesday, March 5, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Arch L. Heady and Son Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 7410 Westport Road, Louisville, KY 40222. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, March 6, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Arch L. Heady and Son Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

Herbert Bradley Stockdale, age 68, of Milton, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Born September 19, 1955 in Madison, Indiana, he was the son of Herbert R. Stockdale and Mary E. (Ward) Griffin.Mr. Stockdale served in the United States Army during the Viet Nam Conflict and worked in maintenance for a heavy equipment company. He was known to be a hard worker, enjoyed making people laugh, was considered very intelligent, and a very loving and supportive husband, and thought family came first.His surviving family includes his wife of forty-two years, the former Diana L. Justice; one daughter and son-in-law, Samantha and Billy Rowe of Campbellsburg, Kentucky; one brother, Rodney Stockdale of Florida; his “second mother” and aunt, Leverne Evans of Campbellsburg; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers: Michael and Todd Stockdale.All services will be private.

Born in Louisville, KY, to the late Richard and Catherine Greene, Charlotte was a graduate of Mercy Academy, worked for many years at Glenmore Distillery, and retired from Brown-Forman Corporation. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, John and George Greene. Charlotte is survived by her children, Lee Decker, Tony Decker (Christy), Paul Decker, and Linda Smith (A.J.); her sister, Martha Soja (Walter); her brothers, Rick (Ann), Joe (Anne), David (Kathy), and Mike (Bernice) Greene; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Her memorial visitation will begin at 3 pm with a memorial service at 6:30 pm on Monday, March 4, 2024 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd., Louisville. She was a Methodist by faith. Preceded in death by her parents, loving husband Charles William Wilson, son Kevin S. Wilson, brothers Donald, Hansel and Tony Carman, sister Marion Carman. Survived by her children Gary Wilson (Donna), Danny Wilson, Richard Wilson (Teresa), Jeffrey Wilson (Patricia), Lisa VanHaverbeke (John); 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, sister Rebecca Thomas, extended family and friends. The family would like acknowledge the staff at Sam Swope Care Center for the exceptional care they took of their mother. Funeral services will be Friday March 8, 2024 at 11:00am Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial to follow in Custer Cemetery, Custer Ky. Brian Keith Paulley, 48, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 16, 2024, at his home in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born on August 18, 1975 to Franklin and Joan Paulley. Brian was a brilliant painter who was fascinating to watch work. He was quiet, and laid back but had a great sense of humor. Brian was very observant, and had a way with words. He loved his family deeply, and they were always his main inspiration. In his spare time, Brian loved to cook, cheer on his beloved Chicago Bears, travel to LA, and listen to all his favorite music. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Brian is preceded in death by his father, Franklin Lee Paulley; and his daughter, Molly Isabella Shelton. Left to cherish his memory, Brian is survived by his fiancée, Pamela Worner; mother, Joan Turner Lovelace (David Hayes); 2 sons, Brandon, and Blake; 6 siblings, Michelle Buckley, Michael Buckley, Jennifer Priddy, Alicia & Samantha Stalkup, and Ronnie Buckley; 2 nephews, Devon Rayhuff, and Darren Lee Buckley; uncle, James Turner; aunt, Anna Mae Elliott; and a host of extended family and close friends. He was born on June 17, 1935, in Sparksville, KY to the late George and Sophia Petty Janes. Mr. Janes was a member of the Egypt Christian Church, a veteran of the U. S. Army, and he and his wife were the owners and operators of the Green River Bait Shop. He enjoyed taking care of his two horses and spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his wife Lois Feese Janes of Columbia, KY; four children David Curry, Lee Ann Wall (Garry), Randy Curry (Amy Monroe), and Terry Curry (Donna Hatcher) all of Columbia, KY; four grandchildren Dustin Brockman (Erin), Shelby Curry, Austin Curry (Caitlin Bronson), and Russell Curry; a great granddaughter Skye Brockman and several other friends and relatives. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Kenneth Wesley Janes and several brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Sunday, March 3, 2024, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the Haven Hill Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by VFW 6097. Mrs. Marcella Sue Parker Brooks, age 75 of Hanover, Indiana, entered this life on April 7, 1948 in Brooksburg, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of the late Theodore Roosevelt and Dora Ellen Smith Parker. She was a lifetime resident of Jefferson County and was schooled there. She was united in marriage to William Dwight Brooks on September 5, 1962 in Brooksburg. This happy union of nearly 59 years was blessed with three daughters, Melissa, Lisa Kay and Beth. She worked at U.S. Shoe Corporation for 29 years and at Wal-Mart for 15 years. She was a member of the Brooksburg United Methodist Church and enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Marcella died on Friday, February 23, 2024, at 12:10 a.m. at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He was also the owner of Larmee’s Nursery, in Crestwood Kentucky for many years. He enjoyed gardening and driving Sunday drives. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Eugene and Velma Jean (Boyer) Larmee, his wife of 56 years, Patricia Joanne (Geralds) Larmee, and his brother, Charles Henry Larmee. He is survived by his wife of 4 years, Ann McGehee Larmee, her children, Ron McGehee, and Melany Schlader. He is also survived by his sons Christian E. Larmee (Vicki) and Jeffery A. Larmee, his grandchildren Jonathan H. Larmee, (Ashton), and Patrick E. Larmee, and great-grandchildren Daphne and Andreas Larmee.
