Randall was an active member of First Baptist Church in Burkburnett where he served as a Sunday School teacher and was a member of the Men's Bible Class. He was also active in the Burkburnett community. He served on the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and was a charter member of the Boomtown Jaycees. He had various careers. As a young man he worked at his family's taxi stand and dry cleaners in downtown Burkburnett. He was manager/operator of Boomtown Bowl where he taught bowling lessons, especially to his oldest two children. Then he opened Quality Cleaners, a family run business. He ended his career as owner/operator of Hunt Supply after 31 years, retiring in 2005. Randall and Rita loved to travel. Over the years they traveled to Australia & New Zealand, Tahiti, Europe (several times), Hawaii, Alaska, Aruba, several Caribbean Islands, and Costa Rica. They rode the train across Canada. Most memorable was a trip to Cozumel where they hunkered down in a windowless hotel room for several days as they rode out category 3 Hurricane Roxanne. They traveled many times to Las Vegas and Shreveport; Rita loved slots and Randall loved poker. Always the adventurer, Randall went sky diving on his 70th birthday and even bungee jumped. He built a large workshop and taught himself woodworking. He completed many incredible projects for family members. All the grandkids have wooden toys lovingly made by their Pappy. Randall was known by all as a kind and compassionate man who never met a stranger. If you knew him, you loved him. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan, a collector of MUCH Cowboy memorabilia and was always ready to talk about the Cowboys, in good seasons and in bad.
