Ralph Schneegas Sr Obituary

Ralph Glenn Schneegas, Sr. , 90, of Valparaiso, Indiana passed away on Friday, May 5, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Ralph was born April 13, 1933, in Valparaiso, the son of William and Helen (Seaman) Schneegas. On December 30, 1999, he married Mabel Lawrence, who survives in Valparaiso. Mr. Schneegas served in the United States of America Air Force. He was a PROUD 56-year Lifetime Member of the Local 150 Operators. He was a member of the American Legion Post 502 and Fraternal Order of the Eagles Lodge 2517. Ralph attended the Valparaiso Nazarene Church. And was a member of the South Lake County Agricultural Historical Society, Inc. in Lake County, Indiana. Ralph aka Buford or Snowball, which was his CB handle, had several passions in life. He was an avid fisherman and carpenter/wood worker. He enjoyed lots of fishing trips with his buddy Doc (Gene). Surviving is his wife Mabel, and four-legged companion Molly, Loving son and best friend Ralph Glenn Schneegas, Jr. , daughters Angela Terrell and Shanna Simns , stepdaughters Vicki Lawrence and Lisa Young (G. Kirtle Raisor, II),his newly adopted daughter Diane Fausner Lawrence, granddaughters, Arica, Alicia and Alexis and great-grandson Brodie. Nephew Stormy and nieces Brenda, Leann, Lori and Carla also survive. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Bill and Robert, sister Dorothy and nephew Bobby Schneegas.
