Ralph's generous spirit and joyful presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Ralph lived a simple and fulfilling life, finding joy in the small moments, and cherishing the love of his family. He demonstrated determination and resilience throughout his career as a truck driver in the agriculture industry. When Ralph wasn’t in his truck working, or spending time with his family, one could find him with pole in hand fishing. Ralph's dedication to his work and his impeccable driving skills earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues. He leaves behind his loving wife, Beryl Roland, whose unwavering support and love sustained him throughout their years together. Ralph was the proud father of two daughters, Megan Roland (Shawn) and Shelby Roland (Cameron); grandchildren, Jace Lachney, Braelynn Lachney, and Saylor Rachal-Coco; sisters, Julie Dalgo and Jamie Pierite. He cherished every moment spent with his children and grandchildren. He was a constant pillar of strength and guidance in their lives. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Roland and Sarah Estelle Franks Parks. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity close to Ralph's heart, such as the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. She was born on December 18, 1965, in Marksville, Louisiana, to her mother, Gloria Gaspard and her late father, Martin Gaspard. She is survived by her two cherished children, Hazedon Lee Barton and Gabrielle Desselle Barton. She is also remembered by her loving mother, Gloria Gaspard and by her siblings, Marty Gaspard (Cindy) , Sheryl Janet (Daniel), and Christina Harrison (Raymond). Holly is preceded in death by her brother Lane. Holly's bond with her brothers and sisters was unbreakable, and the memories they shared will forever echo in their hearts. With a strong focus on her education, Holly graduated at Catholic of Pointe Coupee and Northwestern State University. Holly found joy in life's simple pleasures. She had a passion for hot air balloon festivals, where the vibrant colors and soaring heights mirrored the spirit with which she lived her life. An enthusiast of life's celebrations, Holly reveled in attending parties, particularly relishing the joyous atmospheres of weddings and baby showers. Kenneth Gremillion, a beloved member of the Cottonport community, passed away on October 31, 2023, at the age of 83. Kenneth was known for his unwavering commitment to his family, his community, and his passion for various organizations and businesses. Kenneth began his education at Cottonport Elementary and later graduated from Cottonport High School. He further pursued his studies at the University of Southwestern Louisiana. Throughout his life, Kenneth continuously sought to expand his knowledge and skills. As an active member of the "Cottonport Jaycees", Kenneth served as President, leaving behind a legacy of community involvement and service. He also made significant contributions as a truck operator for the Cottonport Volunteer Fire Department, ensuring the safety and well-being of his fellow community members. Kenneth's entrepreneurial spirit shone through his ownership and management of Gremillion Bros, Inc. Farm Equipment Dealership in Cottonport and Marksville. He was not only a successful businessman but an integral part of the farming community. Kenneth's dedication to the agricultural industry led him to co-own Dixie Tractor Co of Opelousas and venture into real estate, developing several subdivisions in Cottonport. One of Kenneth's most notable achievements was the establishment of the annual "Fireworks on the Bayou" event in Cottonport. An event that started with red road flares lighting the bayou, it grew to become a cherished tradition that brought the community together to celebrate and enjoy the illuminating display. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Kenneth held public office as Alderman and Mayor Pro-Tem for the Town of Cottonport, exhibiting his commitment to improving the lives of his fellow citizens. Serving for eight years, Kenneth tirelessly worked to make Cottonport a better place for everyone. Kenneth's love for nature led him to become one of the original incorporators and board members of the Grand Lake Rod & Gun Club. He cherished and respected the beauty of the Louisiana landscape and local wildlife. In his spare time, Kenneth was an avid member of the Deep South Farm Equipment Association, fostering connections and sharing his expertise with fellow industry professionals. Kenneth Gremillion is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Laura Moreau Gremillion, and his three loving children, Craig Gremillion (Mary), Jody Normand (Wayne), and Jamie LaPraire (David). Kenneth is also survived by his six grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched throughout the years. Laszlo Szekely, a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished grandfather, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2023, at the age of 86 at his home in Moreauville. Born on April 19, 1937, in Fogadj Istan, Romania, Laszlo had a tumultuous childhood and began working diligently from a young age. Coming to the United States during the Hungarian Revolution in 1956, Laszlo made his way to New Orleans by sheer determination. At just 19 years old, he found himself embarking on a journey of resilience and independence. Through his unwavering determination, Laszlo learned the trade of masonry and worked tirelessly to build a successful career. It was in New Orleans that Laszlo's path would intersect with his beloved wife, Frances. They met amidst a game of soccer, or as Laszlo would call it, "football," in Audubon Park. Their connection was undeniable, and soon they began a courtship that would last a lifetime. The couple celebrated 60 years of marriage and were the proud parents of a beautiful family. Laszlo was a man of deep gratitude for the life he had built and held a special place in his heart for his family. Known for his unwavering love and devotion, he adored spending time with his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. His warmth and kindness extended beyond his immediate family, as he also cherished his relationships with Frances' family. Despite the distance, he still visited his loved ones in Hungary, embracing the opportunity to reconnect with his roots. In his leisure time, Laszlo found solace and joy in activities that allowed him to connect with nature. Whether it was shrimping, fishing, hunting, or water skiing, he was at his happiest when surrounded by the great outdoors. Laszlo also had a passion for motorcycles, both dirt bikes and street bikes, adding an element of excitement to his life. Laszlo "Louis" Szekely will be deeply missed but forever remembered for his unwavering love, strength, and zest for life. May his soul find eternal peace, and may his memory continue to inspire and uplift all those whose lives he touched. He was 73 years old. Ronald was a dedicated farmer who poured his heart and soul into his work. He possessed an unwavering passion for agriculture and spent a lifetime tending to the land. With his hard work and perseverance, he created a legacy that will endure for generations to come. Ronald shared his life with his beloved wife, Margaret Rozas Juneau, for over five decades. They were inseparable, weathering life's ups and downs with unwavering love and commitment. Together, they built a beautiful family and created countless cherished memories. Ronald will forever hold a special place in the hearts of his children: Ron Juneau Jr. (Layla), Monique Juneau Chianelli (Nathan), Leslie Juneau Southern (Craig), and Natalie Juneau Carney (Scott). He was a loving and supportive father, always there to lend a helping hand or offer words of wisdom. His children will follow in his footsteps, carrying on the values and traditions he instilled in them. Family was everything to Papa, and his eighteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren brought him immense joy and pride. He was a pillar of love and support, showering them with affection and wisdom. His legacy will live on through each generation he influenced. Ronald is also survived by his sister, Joyce Dupuy (James), and brother-in-law, Fred Fusee. They shared a bond of kinship and friendship that brought comfort and laughter to their lives. Juneau, his caring mother and step-father, Lorena Juneau Dupuy and Wade Dupuy, as well as his brother and sister-in-law, Earl and Delores Juneau, and his sister, Loretta Fusee. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 21st, 2023, at 11:00am at the St. Mary’s Assumption Catholic Church of Cottonport. Family and friends are invited to join together at the funeral visitation to reminisce, share stories, and honor the incredible man that Ronnie was. Sylvia was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Armand, Sr. ; sons, Daniel Burret, Jonathan Armand, and Bobby Armand, Jr. ; granddaughter, Monique Armand; sisters, Audrey Bordelon, Mary Lee Martinez, Shirley St. Romain, and Diane St. Romain; brother, Dalton Bordelon.
