Rafaele "Ralph" Fiscelli, age 86 of Allen Park, MI passed away peacefully August 24, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. Loving husband of Anna-Marie for Sixty-Five exciting years. Loving dad of Patrick Fiscelli, Linda Fiscelli, Lisa (Ralph) Menna and Christopher Fiscelli. Proud grandpa of Roselyn, Matthew, Kayla (Austin) and great-grandpa of Amora. Beloved brother of Pasquale (Gloria) Fiscelli. Ralph also leaves behind his many loving nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Pasquale and Gilda Fiscelli and his siblings Emma Malenfant and Rudy Fiscelli. Memorial contributions in honor of Ralph may be made directly to the family.

On November 30, 2023, Lois Jean Ankney (nee Powell) passed away peacefully after 91 years of magic. Lois, known lovingly to her family as "Odie", was born on July 28, 1932 to Wilfred and Bertha Powell in Riverview, just across the street from where she made her family home for 71 years. Lois graduated from Trenton High School in 1950, fell in love with Patrick Leo Ankney, also of Trenton, and married in 1951. Lois was the mother of four children, Janice (McDonald), Jill (Matthews), Patrick Neil, and Thomas as well as having a profound influence on countless acquaintances, students and athletes who played for husband Pat (long-time teacher, coach, and athletic director in Riverview) from 1952 on. Many of those athletes from the 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's stopped by frequently throughout her life to check in on Lois, right up to her passing. Lois cherished her 11 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren (with 2 more on the way), especially when all could gather annually at the family Red Cottage in Harrison, Michigan which the family has enjoyed since 1962. Even in recent years Lois participated in the big event - The Ankney Olympics. Visitation for Lois will be held at the Martenson Funeral home at 3200 West Road in Trenton from 2 pm to 9 pm on Thursday, December 14 and Friday, December 15 from 10 am to 11 am. A short celebration of Lois' life begins at 11:00 am. Hattie S McAllisterJuly 30, 1938 - November 29, 2023Hattie Sophie McAllister, nee Hodnicki, passed away on November 29, 2023, at the age of 85. She was the beloved wife of the late Dale McAllister, adored mother of David (Renee) McAllister and Jill McAllister Hartley, cherished grandmother of Jane and Kellen Hartley, and dear sister of Stella (the late William) Walker and Walter (Lynn) Hodnicki. Hattie was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Sophie Hodnicki, brother Joseph (Rose Marie) Hodnicki and sister Marion (Richard) Malinowski. Hattie grew up in Wyandotte, Michigan, surrounded by a large extended family. She loved taking the bus to downtown Detroit, joined by her sisters and friends, to go shopping or to watch her beloved Detroit Tigers play at Tiger Stadium - a favorite pastime all her life. After graduating from Roosevelt High School, she began her career in administrative work at Wyandotte Chemicals. She left with the birth of her first child and only resumed her career when both of her children were in college and a former colleague asked for Hattie's help at her new employer, Flat Rock Metal. Hattie went on to work at Flat Rock Metal for over 15 years and formed many lifelong friendships. Hattie was happiest on roadtrips. She especially enjoyed traveling to California and North Carolina to spend time with her children and grandchildren, Maine to visit her husband's extended family and friends, and exploring New England and the coastline of her beloved home state of Michigan. In keeping with her love of baseball, along with being a faithful Detroit Lions fan, she traveled to 8 different major league ballparks and stadiums in the last few years alone. Hattie was a loving sister and friend, but her most favorite role was that of mom and later grandma to her granddaughters, who were the greatest pride and joy of her life. Hattie will be remembered by all for her kindness and generosity. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by her family, whom she loved completely and perfectly. A Grosse Ile resident of almost 60 years, Hattie will be interred at St. Anne Chapel of Sacred Heart Church Cemetery on East River Road.Show more

ObituaryTimothy G. McLaughlin peacefully passed away on Wednesday, September 27, with family at his side. Tim was born in 1942 to Irene and J. Willard McLaughlin. He grew up with his sister Teena in Sumpter, Michigan. Tim graduated from Bellville High School in 1961. He attended Michigan State University and soon joined the Michigan National Guard. Tim met his wife Linda at a military dance. They were married on September 3, 1966. They purchased a home in Allen Park and started their life together. They had two children, Shea and Cally. Tim later joined the US Army Reserve and started a second career, working for the Army as a civilian. He served his country for over 40 years and attained the rank of Major. Before becoming a Logistics Manager for the Army, Tim owned and operated his own contractor business. He was the handiest person we've ever known. He could fix or build anything and often helped friends and family with their projects. He was an avid outdoorsman and cherished going "Up North" to boat, fish, and hunt. He loved singing karaoke, watching westerns, and hanging out at his favorite restaurant. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends, telling jokes and stories. He was very proud of his children, and his grandchildren were dear to him. He will be greatly missed and will always hold a place in our hearts. Tim is survived by his wife Linda, sister Teena, children Shea and Cally, grandchildren Abigeal, Gavin, Camille, Maxton, and William, and his great-grandson Grayson. A Memorial visitation will be held for Tim from 1:00 p. m. to 8:00 p. m. on October 17, 2023, at Weise Funeral Home, 7210 Park Avenue, Allen Park, MI 48101 (313-382-1150). ObituaryWilliam (Bill) Edmund Leverton passed away on June 20, 2023 at the age of 77 after a long battle with lung problems. Bill was born August 26, 1945 to parents John and June Leverton. He was raised in Allen Park, Michigan, grew up in the Allen Park Presbyterian Church and graduated from Allen Park High School in 1963. Shortly after graduation, he enlisted in the Marines where he served during Vietnam. In 1967 he married Sheila (Long) and they had two boys, John (Beth) of Northville, and Jeff (Krista) of Dansville. He was proud of all of his grandkids and liked to take them to Disney and for boat rides: Brady, Sybella, Cooper and Delaney. He is also survived by a brother, Robert (Theresa) and their extended family. Bill completed a degree from Lawrence Tech University and was employed by Ford Motor Company for 33 years. He also used his time and talents to be the "tax man" for many a friend and neighbor, and was always technology inclined, helping others set up computers and coming to the rescue to fix things. He enjoyed many hobbies - softball, fishing, camping, golf, reading sci-fiction books, woodworking, going on cruises, fun with the Disney Fanatics, and events with the Masons. He picked up music in retirement and played guitar and the ukulele. He always loved sports- spent many days playing and coaching his boys, and enjoyed watching Tiger's baseball. Some of his hidden talents were tending to orchids and making chocolate chip cookies. As a proud veteran who loved his country, Bill was honored to participate in the Honor Flight to Washington, DC. Most of his adult years were spent between his home in Allen Park, cottage on Dragon Lake, and in Florida- first Largo, and then in The Villages since 2014. In each location, Bill had a great community of family and friends he enjoyed. His family is especially thankful for the help and support they provided both Bill and Sheila through the years. There will be a Celebration of Life for both Bill and Sheila (who passed 12 weeks apart) at Allen Park Presbyterian Church on Monday, October 23rd date at 6 pm, a service followed by refreshments in the church parlor. John David Lollio II, age 55, of Allen Park, Michigan passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Beaumont Hospital-Dearborn. Born on July 20, 1968 in Royal Oak, Michigan, he was the son of John Lollio and Jacquelynne (Davey) Scamp. He was employed with Trenton Forging as a Hi-Lo Driver for 2 years, previously working for Lincoln Forging for many years. He was a proud Marine, affectionately known as "Johnny on the Spot". He was a member of the band Mango Pie, and then joined Triple Black as a lead singer. He truly enjoyed playing his acoustic guitar, which his family fondly remembers always coming home to hear him playing. He loved riding bikes, whether it was a bicycle or a motorcycle. If one was available, he rode it. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. John was preceded in death by his mother. He is survived by his father, John (Sherry) Lollio, stepfather, Tim Scamp, children, Hannah (Nick) Dunn, Brendan Warren, Chloe (Cody Fortune) Warren; grandchildren, Finn Dunn, Greyson Dunn, Jameson Warren, Kaden Fortune; siblings, Laura (Alexandra) Lollio, Gina (David McLaughlin) Lollio, Nicco (Andrea Seychel) Lollio, Phillip Haley, David Haley; several nieces, nephews; great nieces and nephews.
