David Giron, (85), of Oxnard, California, passed away on November 27, 2023. David was born to Manuel Giron Ramos and Maria Cruz Arreola Soto on December 29th, 1937, in a small town named Tecolotlan, Jalisco, Mexico. He was the oldest of 11 siblings. Having immigrated to the United States in 1957 as part of the Bracero program he worked throughout the state of California before settling in Oxnard in 1965. David quickly found work in the rich agricultural fields of Ventura County where he met the love of his life. They were married in Ventura on December 2, 1972 and raised their four children. Shortly after, he moved onto Nabisco Brands in 1980 and retired in 1996. His quick wit, jokes, and stories made him a beloved person who had many friends and acquaintances. David and Rosa moved to Ojai in 2008 to settle and retire. He was truly one of a kind who always was caring, a helping hand, would go out of his way to ensure you had what you needed. He loved to cook, made the best salsa, and was the best frutero. He enjoyed gardening and would tend to his gardens and share the fruits, vegetables, and flowers. He enjoyed going to the Chumash Casino, the Ventura Swap Meet, and spending time with his family. He would drop everything to help family, friends, neighbors or anyone who needed help. He is survived by his wife Rosa Lila Giron, his four children Johnny, David Jr, Darlene, and Zobeida; grandchildren Elijah, Chyna, Ariel, Noelia, Jimmy, David III, Dillon, Zia; great-grandchildren Chance, Gianna, Carmela, and Kalina.
